Yes- Burst: Create a short range blast of fire from around the user. Deals damage to
everyone/everything in a small radius. - Ice Spikes: Causes a series of icicles to sprout from the ground in a wave spreading towards a target(s). Each spike deals small amounts of damage, but provides dangerous terrain for all but large enemies (Moblin or bigger). Spikes melt after a short time.
- Quake: Creates a small quake to occur around the user; knocking off balance small enemies around the user. Does not deal damage, but creates openings to attack. Has no effect on larger foes.
- Dark Chains: The user can call up shadows to bind his/her target in quasi-real chains. These chains bind anything in a small radius of the spell (up to 15 ft. diameter), and can even bind large enemies (Moblins). It has no effect against huge or giant enemies, nor against any flying.
MaybeHealing Mist: Creates a mist that surrounds the user and anything within a short radius. Heals small wounds, and can relieve and eliminate burns.I'd be down with this, but I'm a huge sucker for focusing. I'd say yes, but only if we can all agree that the primary person would reap the greatest benefits while the secondary person is healed of small wounds.- Stone: Creates a small rock to be launched at an enemy. Deals as much damage as an arrow and follows the same physics as an arrow.
[/i] people.
[li]
Earth Shatter: Creates a small earthquake that is strong next to the user, but tapers off as it travels in a radius around him/her. Knocks small enemies off their feet, and can unbalance larger ones. Effects grow weaker the farther from the user one is.[/li]Change the name to epicenter or something.. Earth Shatter is Reinhardt's ultimate from overwatch, and it's almost exactly like this except for instead of a radius, it fans out. I just.. wanna avoid that.
[li]Cushion Burst: Creates a burst of wind before or under the user. This cushion can deflect an
arrow from the air, or reduce damage from a fall (up to 5 foot reduction). Has no effect on enemies beyond deflecting
arrows.[/li]Arrows have a high penetration through air resistance. I'd be ok for this novice spell to stop blunt objects such as shield bashes or rocks, but arrows are a no go. This would break the hell out of
any sort of physics established.
[li]Airy Step: The user directs a gale of air from behind him/her, allowing increased movement
or distance when firing arrows.
Requires a constant supply of magic to maintain, and only gives the user a slight increase in speed.[/li]Same reason as flare arrows, I don't want any magic to give advantage to weaponry. Saving those for enchantments. I would be up for increased movement speed though. Only by a little bit. But have it happen in bursts, instead of constant drain and increased movement. It's just a novice spell and I
really don't like the thought of constant magic drain for stuff like this[li]Air Barrier: Creates a vortex that surrounds the user, deflecting arrows that might hit him/her. It can also fling back airborne enemies. Has no effect on earth based enemies.
Requires a constant trickle of magic to maintain.[/li]Remove the constant drain, have it have a burst effect. Imagine fighting a rito, which have high amounts of magic
and can stay airborne and the only chance, besides magic, of hitting them is an arrow. But they just do this.
[/ul]
No- Warm: The user can generate heat in his/her body in order to make their body warmer than normal. Provides as much heat as a torch, but only affects the user. Allows the user to survive in colder temperatures, but at the cost of constant magic.
- Flare Arrows: Creates multiple arrows of fire at once that the user can shoot at surrounding enemies. The user must see the enemy in order to hit them with an arrow, but they have the same accuracy and distance as normal arrows.
[/i] to allow weapon like/based spells. I can't. "enchanted/elemental" weapons will be event based earnings for characters, and for bow users, such as Rito, Zeke or anyone else that chooses a bow as their primary weapon, this would kinda mega suck that their weapon gets ripped off by a spell.
[li]Buoyancy: Allows the user to ‘walk on water’. Because it takes so much concentration the user can’t move more than a walk, and takes a constant supply to keep active. Only works on non-damaging liquid (water, mud, etc).[/li]So jesus swimming? Once again, this is a situation where the user would be burning magic for something they could accomplish with a bridge or by swimming. It's more of a thing that people really wouldn't want to use because of the energy drain. I know I wouldn't bother buying it. I, personally, would just make my guys swim or find a way around.
[li]Lightning Bolt: The user generates a large amount of electricity that he/she can fire in a straight line at a target. This causes a moderate amount of damage, but can cause the target to drop whatever its holding. Has only a minor effect against earth based enemies or Gorons.
And
Static Strike: The user creates a small spark of electricity in his/her palm. When touching an enemy it creates a shock through their system and stuns them for a short time. Has no effect against earth like enemies of Gorons.[/li]No lightning. None what so ever. The only electricity that
may ever be seen used by our playable races are shock weapons that may come from events.
[li]Shadow Strike: Creates a quasi-real knife the shape and size of a long knife made of condensed shadow. Deals damage like a normal blade, but requires a steady stream of magic to maintain.[/li]Same reason as element based/enchanted weapons. They're event only and I don't want spells mirroring what the weapons will do. Shadow is also based very heavily off of illusions, summoning and shadow manipulation.
[li]Shadow Sneak: Similar to the abilities employed by the Yiga and the Sheika clans, the user can move in shadows and remain hidden. Unlike the two clans however this requires a constant supply to keep up the illusion, and can be broken by a light source nearby.[/li]one, this is a Pokemon attack lol. Secondly, I don't want any race's abilities/skills being nullified or matched by a spell (Take Elder scrolls for example. In Skyrim, it doesn't matter which race you pick, because you can always get their effect later on in the game via some sort of stupid enchantment. It makes the races "talent" not very much of a talent. Kinda pointless to pick a weak Argonian mage for water breathing when you could make a Redguard Mage and give him a water breathing amulet. End example. I couldn't find anyway to at least put this one into maybe.
[li]Shadow Blades: Creates up to 5 quasi-real swords that orbit the user and attacks anything that comes within range. Deals Traveler's Swords worth of damage, but can’t move more than 2 feet from the user. Requires a constant supply of magic to maintain, and can drain quite a bit if used constantly.[/li]-dodges that weapon/psuedo weapon idea- Still don't want to have enchanted/elemental weapons made useless by a weapon based spell.
