Blackbird was a good horse.
The mare was obedient, and tame, and did as he asked. She didn't seem to have much of an opinion on anything, and was quite content to just go with the flow. She was gentle under him, and had a soft mouth, easily answering what he asked of her.
The duo were in the Fields of Central Hyrule, the man sitting tall in the saddle. His sharp eyes were searching out a place to hunt prey, and finally he found one. He dismounted, leaivng the mare to graze, and made his way over to a shaded incline.
Crouching down, he would set his bow on his lap, ready to shoot if a prey animal walked by, or run forward if he saw a butterfly or critter to catch.

A few crickets jump away from the young hylian as he makes his way over to his hunting spot. Sebastian, being relatively quick, was able to grab one of them in the rush. Once he arrives at his hunting spot he notices a hylian mushroom poking its head up from the roots of the tree.
Once at his perch he sits, patiently, for about an hour and a half before any sort of movement occurs. It’s a doe, Sebasian is upwind of her, so it doesn’t seem to notice he’s there of yet. If he could nab this, it would be a pretty decent haul.
Due to Sebastian's vigilance he was able to snag a restless cricket and a hylian mushroom.

1 Doe - Unaware
Happy Hunting!

Sebastian quickly stuffed the crickets he'd snagged into his pouch, scanning the ground as he approached the hunting spot. The farm boy grinned as he saw a familiar mushroom peeking out from the roots of the tree, and stuped down to pluck the Hylian Mushroom, adding it to his pouch.
Thankfully his years working on a farm had given him a great sense of patience, so the hour and a half of waiting didn't bother him in the least. He only moved when he needed to adjust his legs, to keep his long limbs from cramping up or growing stiff.
Soon, his patience paid off. A beautiful doe strode into sight, thankfully with its rump turned towards him. The boy would shift to crouch, taking careful aim. Finally, he would release the arrow, aiming for its head. Thankfully, however, due to the way the deer was positioned, if he undershot, there was a chance it would go inbetween its shoulders.

As the archer strung his bow the vigilant doe heard the soft twang of the cord. She leapt away with serene grace but not fast enough to save herself from the arrow’s bite. She faltered briefly in her canter as the arrows tip embedded itself within the flesh of her shoulder, crimson blood leaking down her flank and onto the trail below.
She disappeared quickly into the underbrush and all the forest was still as if she had never been there before.
Good shot! You've wounded Bambi's mom. Go fierce hunter to claim your prize by following the trail of blood @sebastian

1 Doe - injured-bleeding onto the path from shoulder wound

Sebastian took a deep breath, watching the arrow fly. He cursed under his breath as the doe leaped away, but the arrow still struck her. If anything, that was worse. He'd been raised to give swift, painless deaths, and he'd just made this doe suffer.
He didn't hesitate to jump down from his spot, jogging to where the doe had disappeared. Her path was easy to find, considering she'd left a trail of blood, making guilt twinge in his belly.
The boy held his bow at the ready as he followed the path, ready to fire the moment he saw the doe, and hopefully put her out of her misery.

Sebastian would have to follow for about half a mile through tight branches and undergrowth and would come upon a tangle of brambles where the doe would found. Normally the doe would have been able to slip through an opening in the brambles, however, having a foreign object protruding from her shoulder she was unable to properly maneuver and managed to get caught. Due to the panic and pain she had fought to free herself which only caused the mild injury to open up into a severe wound that bled profusely. As Sebastian approached she would begin to flail again but her body was not capable of holding up to this fight nor the approaching enemy before her. Her nostrils flared frantically as her eyes held fear and pain as she groaned at the Hylian.
You found the doe! Good job fierce hunter

Sebastian sighed in relief as he came across the doe, the poor thing tangled up in some brambles. The arrow in her shoulder seemed to have gotten caught, preventing her from getting free as well as worsening her wound.
He grimaced as she began to panic, flailing this way and that as he approached. He would quickly kneel before her, muttering soothing words and thanks as he slit her throat with his blade, hoping to quicken her death.

As is the way of things as Sebastian sliced the throat of the doe the life left her body just as quickly as the red blood seeped into the earth below her. Sebastian would take note that the sun was dipping deep into the western horizon casting a opulent golden glow upon the forest. Night would arrive soon along with all of the bounty and risks that came with it.

Sebastian muttered a soft thanks as the doe gave up her life, going limp beneath his palm. He stroked the tawny fur a handful of times, before whistling, calling Blackbird to him. It was getting dark, and he didn't want to draw predators to him. He took the time to move the carcass onto the horse's back, strapping it down with rope carefully.
He would lead the horse away from the blood stained path, finding somewhere to settle down for the night. After starting a campfire, he would take down the doe, and start to butcher it, skinning it and cutting the meat into chunks.
