Hmm, this wasn’t working. The underbelly was a bit tougher than he thought it would be. Daruhan tried to push it a bit more so it couldn’t get up as quickly. To slow it down some, he crashed his fist into the ground, kicking up more rock shards and aimed them at the monster’s face and eyes. He didn’t expect them to actually do much damage, just frustrate the thing. Then, rolling to its back he’s start an assault on the armored plates. He had to break those if he was to succeed.

Well that certainly worked! The brutal assault of crystals in the beasts eyes left it flailing in even more frustration as it tried to find a way to rub it's face. That was much worse than a big clump of ash in your eye! As you get to the back, you can notice that the armored plates, while armored, are incredibly easy to remove if you can get the leverage on the crystals. It's as if it's armor actually molts and grows a new layer, with the way it is. And by the way it's struggling to get up, it's obvious that this isn't an older Dongorongo. It's finally able to get a few claws into the dirt and start trying to pull itself back up, fire puffing from it's mouth in exertion.
- Daruhan You're doing good. Are you using a planner?

Goron

Post by Daruhan on Feb 2, 2018 14:37:43 GMT -8
The goron smiled, this was going better than he’d hoped. Those plates looked pretty easy to remove. He’d just have to trip the thing again. Waiting to see which way the monster would turn to try and face him, he would roll in the same direction to ‘kite’ it around, trying to tire it out even more. He would wait for it to switch directions again or wait until he could consistently stay on one side of it. Daruhan would then ram it again in an attempt to flip it before scurrying off to its backside to try and rip off a plate. He looked over to see how his lava furred companion was fairing.
Not using a planner. Should I be? Just treating it like a large dodongo... and i remember the armor plates from Phantom Hourglass.Daxton

Tripping the Dongorongo, luckily, was an incredibly easy task with the way its body was built. You would get a pretty good strike in, effectively ramming the beast back to the ground that it had just gotten off of. Trying to rip off the plate may take a while, so you better keep the pressure on that if you want to bring this thing down. Your furred companion though was having his own problems. The other Wolfos continued watching the lava pool as the alpha and former alpha would come out of the lava, snapping and shredding at whatever part of the other they could get their jaws on. He was still preoccupied.

to distract it from the difficult task of getting up, multiple times if necessary. This plate was coming off, then the gem underneath it was getting a beatdown. He wasn’t going to sit around and let that upstart pup tear up his new friend again either. Letting out a bellow, Daruhan doubles up on his efforts to remove the damnable plates.

Finally, the plates break free of the Dongorongo's back, exposing the crystal underneath, but at the same time, that also puts a bigger sense of 'oh shit' into the creature and it gets it's bearings, turning it's head to snap it's wide maws at you the best it can. Even standing though, the blue crystal could be seen. Progress is progress though, especially on creatures that roam this mountain in particular. Taking in another sharp breath, the Dongorongo lets out fire ball after fireball towards you, obviously in some level of pain, fear and anger mixed together.
- Daruhan then I guess i'll have to show you the way

This behemoth picked the wrong goron to make into a snack. Picking up rolling again he would have to try and knock it down again. He couldn’t stop rolling to get a spell off otherwise. The creature turned too fast, especially now that it wasn’t as weighed down by armor. He repeated his original plan. Get to the side, knock the damn thing over. This time however, he’s be trying to smack the gem. He’d crystalline burst the face again though too, just for good measure.

The Dongorongo closed his eyes just in time to save his eyes from another barrage of crystals, but he was knocked onto his side once again, the fragile crystal cracking on his back as he fell on his side, as well as when the Goron impacted so close to it. With a low roar, the beast began trying to get back up, again. It wasn't used to something being able to knock it around like this, it didn't happen this often to the older ones of his kind around the mountain. Maybe he shoulda stuck to finding small Goron.

He had to end this now! Winding up as the beast was struggling to right itself, Daruhan releases a full force swing upon the gem. “Take this beast, HYAAAAAAA!” He yells as he throws it. If that wasn’t enough, or if it got up before his punch landed, he would simply slam into its side to knock it over again. The fact that the monster wasn’t running for its life right now was astonishing, whenever it got up it just seemed to try and attack him. Normally he was more merciful with animals, but not so with these beasts. Especially so with those that hunted his kinsmen. Death Mountain was already dangerous enough.

With the punch came a near finishing blow. The crystal, now busted open and exposing the Dongorongo further, crumbled to dust as it hit the ground in shards. The monster itself struggled for only a bit longer before falling near still, it's breathing shallow. Your wolfos companion on the other hand, was still in a vicious, jaw locking fight with the alpha that had thrown him down from his own perch. But your buddy currently held the upper hand. While he was definitely wounded, he had the other by the neck and was trying to drag him out of the lava pool, shaking his head every now and then with a vicious growl. The alpha kicked, pawed and snapped at where he could reach, finally getting ahold of one of his legs, officially turning the mess back into a grapple.
- Daruhan ya did it. now imagine if you were a human in goron armor doin that.
