What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ NOTES:Yaranow he's gonna mess with her. | If she wanted the story behind every scar on his body, he'd be incapable of telling her all of them before he passed out of fatigue. He caught her staring at his back, but wasn't bothered by it. People stared at things that were different and when it came to different, the massive scars littering his body with stitches tattooed over them was pretty high on the different list. "Well then."
That's all he answered that with. Well she'd better get good at riding because he kicked both of his feet against Mot's sides, leaning forward, tightening his knees and gripping the mane running down his back more. At the simply "Hyup", Mot began running, slowly building up speed until he was bolting across the jungle floor, cutting through puddles with a massive splash but little resistance. He'd also make sure that if Yara was about to fall, he'd reach out and snag her before it happened. As he capped into a sprinting speed though, the jostling leveled out into a less intense bounce, but it was still a hell of a bounce. The seesaw motion of a bear running had several extremes, and their jog was the most extreme. Luckily though, like this, Mot would be able to get them out of Faron fairly quickly.
"We'll try not to jump over obstacles by the way" He spoke back at Yara, not fully turning his head as Mot continued to sprint through the jungle. |

I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. As Mot increasingly picked up speed she clung to him desperately, relieved at the forethought of managing to make a grip for herself out of his fir. Her legs squeezed him tightly and she shut her eyes trying to keep the seesawing motions from making her nauseous. If they were met with some sort of change in the terrain she would let out a small yell of surprise. She was not going to fall off and she twisted her hands deeper into Mot’s fur. The exhilaration of the speed would have taken her breath away if she had, had the fortitude to keep her eyes open Upon hearing Axels voice and his statement about jumping over obstacles she yelled out quite unsurely “Thank you!” as if speaking would cause her to loosen her grip on the giant bear. She prayed to Ganon silently for the ability to hang on for her life and that riding Jett would not be nearly as rough.

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ NOTES:Yarawe're pretty much done here. you can just walk em to the cave and we can end it unless you wanna fight something or you want Yara to talk to him more. | Axel laughed under his breath and braced his self. Mot cleared a log with ease before finally slowing back down to a walk. Sitting up, Axel turned around to look at the dense jungle behind them. They were out of the worst part of it and the storm clouds were at least visible from here. "Ok, we should be g-" He was cut off by a crack of thunder and the flash of a lightning bolt striking a tree not too far from them. "Fuck you!" he barked up at the sky before urging Mot back into walk. He had stopped to observe the smoking tree.
"We're out of the dense jungle, it's pouring there, but there should be a cave up ahead. We can set up camp there and head back home in the morning." He offered. You could see where it was obviously pouring down rain in a certain section of the clouds where it was just a light rain where they were at. "You ok?" She had been clinging to Mot pretty hard. It didn't bother him, but he did notice that she had her eyes closed when he looked around. His head was on a swivel while they were running, and it was on one still.
He wanted to be careful of anyone witnessing them before they found a place to camp. He really didn't need to deal with that. Hopping off of Mot, he'd wait until yara was down before dispelling him. "The cave is hidden up ahead and I don't want people to be able to follow his bear tracks there." |

I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. Once Mot stopped the second time she felt Axel dismount and that was her que to move as well. She had to wait a few moments for her body to adjust to not being in a constant seesaw. She finally opened her eyes from amongst Mot’s fur and sat up uneasily. She didn’t trust herself getting down on her own so she had to grab onto his arm for support as she swung her leg over and slid off. She instantly felt relief being on solid ground, letting go of him she nodded taking a deep inhale “Yeah. I’m good” she bent down picking up a clump of earth and rubbed it between her hands “that was somethin’ else” she said. While Axel dispelled Mot she adjusted her small pack so that it wasn’t rubbing uncomfortably on the scrape on her back. She made sure to move quickly across the open ground keeping her own wits about her before they entered the cave to wait out the storm. Once they were both inside the cave she went about making a small fire with the little kit she had in her pack. She wanted the fire if only for the light that it offered, she was not terribly in favor of dark enclosed spaces and though she could see her surroundings through the earth vibrations it did not allow her to see what she was doing with her hands. Now that she wasn’t moving so much her own wound was aching a considerable amount, she set about examining it lifting her shirt up over the wound and saw that some of the freshly formed skin had begun to tear from her indiscriminate movement while training. It was only minor though and no real damage had been done. She also needed to treat the scrape on her back as well but she would have Jett handle that late, having a familiar with hands and a working understanding had its perks. She applied the salve to her wound and looked over at Axel. “Your legs…are they still bothering you?” her face was lined with mild concern she didn’t want to be neglectful of her masters injuries even if he was. She knew, he knew his own limits but if they were going to be working together it was also her responsibility to take care of him as well. At least, that’s how she saw it anyways. After their talk in the rain she genuinely did want to be a help to him more than a hindrance. What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | Axel sat down against a wall once more and crossed his legs, lowering his head to look down at the mud caking half way up his calves. His brow furrowed and he found his self looking at Yara when she asked him about his legs and if they were still bothering him. "They're not bleeding, they're fine." His tone was even, but clipped. He was definitely bruising around them, but he wasn't gushing blood like he had been when he got them, so it was literally almost at the bottom of the list of the worst injuries he had received.
His head went back to where it had been when he was looking at his legs, but now he was looking at his torso, arms and the scars hidden under the mud. He wouldn't reach up to touch his ears to feel for those scars either, instead, he stayed stock still for what felt like the longest time, even to him. Taking a deep breath, he picked his head up and stared straight ahead. The darkness of the cave didn't bother him, neither did the sound of rain. What did bother him was the fact that Yara's weakness had opened up a bit of his own and he found his self remembering a lot of things he'd rather stay forgotten.
Especially the shortening of his ears, or the earning of his Glasgow smile, or just in general, the scars that have been on his body for over thirty years with no sign of fading. It's amazing what can happen to you when you're practically torn open then slapped shut with whatever your parents could do about it. A battle with dirt in his wounds and infection was ever constant. He shouldn't be alive, but he is, and his family is not. So he guesses it all turned out swell in the end. All that pain and suffering turned him into someone that could curdle milk by glaring into the bottle. But apparently he was also a person who felt pity for people that reminded him of his self. Thankfully though, it seemed to be a feeling exclusively for Yiga. He felt nothing for outsiders.
"If we're lucky, I can strip from that fallen tree outside and see if I can't collect dry tinder if you're cold." He offered quietly, staring at a tree that had fallen against another. His knife was on his side, so it'd be more than easy enough to cut into the jungle tree to look for dry fibers. There were other materials in the jungle that could burn. It was just that finding them in the rain was a pain. |

I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. Her left eyebrow arched and her face showed she was clearly skeptical; tossing him the salve as she stood “At the very least it will help with the pain, at the best it will help the flesh mend faster” she stated coolly turning her back to him so that he could tend to them in private. “I’ll get the tinder, you take care of yourself” she said pointedly before she walked back out into the rain as she grabbed her own, smaller knife. Stabbing at the trunk of the tree would be cathartic for her anyway, also she wanted him to know that she was capable of functioning properly even after her emotions fractured the way they had. She had to admit though, had he not offered the support he had she would be in worse shape than she was now. Overall if he hadn’t chosen to take her as his apprentice she would have been fucked. She owed a lot to him and that didn’t bother her like it would have at one point. Before dealing with the tree she let the water pool in her hands and she began to scrape the mud off her legs and feet. She let the water wash over skin as she cleaned the grime away. Rain was always soothing to her and always brought renewal with it. She re-tied her long hair back into its ponytail and then proceeded to the tree. She sunk her knife into the trunk of the tree, her strength that Ganon had blessed her with allowing her to cleanly rip the knife and pry open the trunk of the fallen tree. The way the trees had fallen there was a small patch of dry earth and she was able to collect the dry tender there. After a couple of good hard yanks, she had managed to pry the trunk open and get to the dry center. She spent enough time that she figured would be sufficient for him to handle his needs and gathering the fruits of her labor she walked back in to the cave and resumed spot next to the fire and began to build the fire for the sake of heat and made a small earthen wall to cut off any wind from outside so that the fire was protected. She was cold now but she was also clean and had managed to obtain sufficient tender for the fire. She also was beginning to feel the fatigue of the day as she drew her knees to her chest and stared off into the fire, silent. “Thank you.” She said softly after a few moments, her eyes leaving the flickering flames of the fire to settle on him.

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ NOTES:Yarahe will fucking fight you | "i'm not going to use your medicine." He stated firmly, catching the salve before placing it to the side. "It's an ache to me, that's it." There was a reason he powered through the initial injury, and that's because of his pain tolerance. "I am not in enough pain to waste medicine on." Besides, with how things could get in the Yiga sometimes, it was a waste of good medicine to use it for something that he was able to sleep with.
Axel blinked though as he went to get up, he was told to stay down. "Who do yo-." Grumbling, he fell back onto his ass and watched as Yara went to go gather tinder. Whatever wore the girl down and got practice in with gathering the dry heart wood of a tree, the fibrous material was perfect for starting fires if you knew what you were doing. He still hadn't used any of the salve, and absolutely refused to. He would fight her to hell and back like a child with oral medicine if he had to. He wasn't using it.
"For what?" He was thanked, but for.... "If it's for earlier, don't worry about it. I don't need a thanks for being a decent comrade." He looked back at her when he felt her eyes settle on him again. He stared at her for a while before looking towards the small fire radiating warmth. It should be enough to also help stave off any chill from being saturated by rain and mud. |

I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. “Not that,” she grumbled not knowing the right words “just in general, its nothin to go get all fussed up over anyway.” She huffed aggravatedly picking up the discarded salve. She had heard him grumbling at her and had seen his expression when she came back in. He was going to play hard-ass for a long time with her, she could tell that much. She really couldn’t blame him though, if he was shoving medicine at her she would probably refuse it unless he forced it on her. Doubtful he would have gone to those efforts she determined she wouldn’t waste the energy on it herself. Safe it for when he had a serious injury again and she would fight him on it. She had asked for some basic training from the medical officers anyway. She wasn’t going to remain ignorant in an area she lacked, especially after butting heads with him; but she also wasn’t going to go to him for that training because that would have been a direct affront to her pride before today. In honesty she had crafted the salve under the watchful instruction of the officers and it was to help smooth, mend and soothe the process. Judging by the looks of him he hadn’t been properly cared for at any point in his life, except for maybe by the Master. “You can be as stubborn as a child, can’t you?” she muttered softly as she shoved it back into her bag. This was meant more to be a thought but apparently it slipped out before she had a chance to check herself.

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | "Hm." He huffed when she stated that his guess was wrong. Oh well, you win some lose some. But when she muttered that he could be as stubborn as a child, he calmly raised an eyebrow and looked over to her. That is something he's heard more than enough times in his life from his superiors, especially the former master. "If I am as stubborn as a child, then I am afraid I can't draw any ideas for what you're as stubborn as." He spoke evenly, looking to the rain outside, thinking.
"I've got nothing." She didn't have much room to talk. Two stubborn people tended to butt heads, even without trying, and it was obvious that she was stubborn as well, especially the day that he decided to pluck her off the ground as an apprentice. That reeked of stubborn. He could be wrong though, but he seriously doubted it. She was stubborn if he'd ever met another person as bullheaded as he could get. He stayed calm through her slight of words and stayed against the wall. If this broke into a small argument, he could just bounce back comments until she got angry and gave up- OH HE'S GOT IT. "A mule." |

I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. Yara sat up indignantly, for a moment she looked like she was thinking up some sort of snide retort but then she let out a soft chuckle. She hadn’t laughed in a long time and his comparison of her was more than accurate. She recognized that in herself and it was true should dig her feet into the ground and not budge if that’s what it came down to.
“I’ve been called worse in the very least,” she stated playfully “though I think I would better prefer a bull only because if you mess with a bull you have to deal with the horns,” she rubs her chin contemplatively. “I on the other hand know how to accept when I need help instead of letting it be a detriment to myself, even if it is to help with some light bruising.”
She was probably walking a thin line here but she didn’t care too much it wasn’t as if she was trying to shove a nasty syrup down his throat or being insubordinate because of stubbornness. If he did take offense to her concern after his well-being then he was going to have to live with it as long as he opted to keep her own as his apprentice. Before he could really get angry though she added “but it is your choice of what you will and will not accept and I will respect that choice…just know that if something seriously does happen I will fight you on it for your own well-being. As long as I am your apprentice you don’t have to deal with all of that on your own.” She paused trying to find her next words…better to get it all out there now so she didn’t have to worry later “you said the clan is like a family, I am not very good with families but I am can be good at respecting your authority and as your apprentice I will take it as my duty to ensure that you, as my Master, will have my loyalty and priority. Do with that information as you may I told you I would do my best not to be a disappointment and I plan to strive for that even if it means putting my life on the line for yours.”
She stated this with a surety that she had never found before and it did leave her in a mild wonderment at how far she had come from being a broken spirit to one that was beginning to shape and form their own purpose and sense of self. He had managed to give her direction and something to fight for in her pathetic life and in all honesty the only way she felt she would ever be able to repay that debt was to strive harder to be stronger not only for herself or the clan but for him as well. Having someone loyal to your cause could be like having an ace in the hole and she wanted to be an asset that he could be proud of in the end.
