❝ | I'm counting on hearts like yours to keep me burning. You be bright when I'm starting to rust. You be the why behind my what. I'm counting on hearts like yours to help remind me to keep ignoring the white noise behind me. Don't ever let them water me down. 'Cause I know, Once you feel it you can't unfeel it, Once you dream it you can't undream it |

Lelana was not usually one to be dumbstruck but as his first set of words came out she looked at him in mild disbelief and sat down beside him. She managed shake her head softly indicating that she really didn’t want to go for a walk; she had only offered to give him space because she hadn’t been able to read him, even with his grin. Here she was, normally the more emotionally composed one fit to be tied with the overwhelming amount she had bottled up and he was…well he was himself. She didn’t know what she had expected his response to be, she had tricked herself somewhere along the line into thinking he wouldn’t accept her feelings.
She went to say something a couple of times and then stopping herself as she looked from him down to the sand again. It was quite clear that she was genuinely bewildered. After a moment she looked back at him her voice small as she spoke “the same way?” a small smile hiding at the corner of her lips.
Her hand grabbed at her right arm and she was squeezing it tightly in an effort to hide the fact that her hands where shaking and she didn’t have the proper control of her body.

Am I part of them? Are they part of me? |
Flynn snorted and laughed a little, tossing another quarter of log into the fire before turning back to her. "Yea, the same way." He admitted slowly, a large, stupid grin still spread across his stupid face. "That's what I said." He couldn't help but feel utterly amused at the way Lelana had seem blown away by him, and it took all of his strength not to start laughing at this entire situation.
"Listen, it's gettin kinda dark, n we should catch some rest. It'll give ya time ta think on things a lil' better." That, and he should probably go to sleep in case the urge to go hunt something snuck back up on him. "We can catch the day early, tomorrow. Go from there." He had plenty of tricks he could show her about detecting monster presence in the sea or if they're in the reef, or how to fend off the predators.
They hadn't been too common up until recently, and he was more than sure that she hadn't been down here to fight any of them yet.

She gave him a sarcastic grin and laughed “the last thing my mind needs right now is more thinking…” she stretched herself out, back arching as she looked up at the sky realizing that night had suddenly fallen. The night sky was breath taking out here near the open ocean and as she stared up at it a serene calm came over her.
As she stood up she stifled a sudden yawn that rolled through her “That sounds like a good plan,” she said before placing a gentle kiss on the tip of his nose as to not disrupt his grin before she walked over to her pack pulled out her cloak for herself and the blanket for him. She sat the blanket nearest him knowing the night would carry the winter winds into the point and any protection from that cold was a way of keeping his energy levels even.
Then walking towards the other side of their fire she situated the palm fronds from the previous night that served as a guard against the cold that might want to seep from the ground. It was a close enough distance from the fire that they would still receive the warmth from the hot embers that would glow throughout the night but still a safe enough distance a way to not pose a threat should the wind change its course.
She wrapped her cloak about herself before she settled down to stare up at the sky. She was quiet but not uneasy, just simply calm as if the force of riptides in her mind had evened out into a perfectly flat body of water without any disturbances.
