Rumors of strange tremors have been coming from the Tabantha region lately and a call for heroes has been put out to investigate the source. Many of the older gorons believe an elemental presence is at work although they are uncertain of its exact nature. This could cause a great many problems if left unchecked and the creature behind them needs to be put down. Rito watches have been sweeping the region in hopes of finding the origin point of the tremors. These sweeps have narrowed the location down to a small hilly area several hundred yards in diameter.
There were a few rito guards assisting in the search, however a messenger comes to bring news of a wolfos attack taking place near Rito village and they leave to deal with that situation after reassuring those present that a few gorons should be joining them shortly that are particularly attuned with the earth.
Welcome to March's boss rush! Come! Stay a while. Find and fight mysterious elemental powers! The action will begin in 1 week, most likely after I get off of work that day. Tentative start date is 3/10. Good luck everyone!

What was it, exactly, that was getting him caught up in so much trouble in the past few months? Was it his parents' intents for him catching up on him? Was it just some fate from the Goddesses? Or was it just pure and simple bad luck?
Well, right now, perhaps it was that former point most of all, as it appeared he'd been recognized, or some such thing. Called into action, taunted, reminded of his past... ah, this was exactly why he'd run away from home, wasn't it? All the more so, perhaps, for the fact that he just couldn't leave well enough alone... home was still home, even if he'd well since left it behind. People needing help were still people needing help, and well... that, it seemed, was just ingrained, in spite of anything else. It seemed, then, he was to arrive just in time for a few other Rito to fly off from the apparent meeting point, leaving behind just a few Gorons in their stead.
"Wh-where are they...?" Lavi muttered out as he carefully set foot back on the ground, his eyes following the departing Rito up in the skies before turning back to the Gorons, the cardinal-like Rito's beak clicking nervously. "Erm... I guess... I'll be helping here, then..."

The cold and snow was much too unpleasant. Lelana had been on her way out of the snowy region of Tabantha when she had heard the rumors of an unsettling sort while she was in the Rito Village. Mildly begrudging the climate Lelana had left the warmth of the inn she was staying at to traverse her way to the rendezvous. But trudging in the snow was what “heroes” did to help those in need.
But could she really classify herself as a hero? There was Lurelin Village where she had helped heal the wounded and rescue villagers, but did that constitute being able to answer a summons as a ‘hero’? There was also the recent expedition in Tabantha with Lavi and Daruhan.
Well at least if they turned her away she would know if she was really “hero” material.
As she arrived she saw the brilliant cardinal Rito touchdown. She waved and came to stand beside him “funny seeing you in the neck of the world,” she jested lightly. She wasn’t surprised to see Lavi here as it was just recently they had left each other’s company

Time to spread my wings Well things were certainly getting rough around Tabantha, and by rough, it came in the form of earthquakes. There hadn't been anything this intense in the area for a long time, according to older Rito, so they were all just as baffled as the next when it came to things. But just as he was about to ask his bird siblings what they thought it was, the snow owls had to call off the search early and fly back to help control the monsters around the village.
So Zeke had camped out around the supposed source of the earthquakes, watching for movement, but never really getting an answer as much as the next person. What really snatched his curiosity though was a familiar cardinal Rito and a.... zora? In this cold of an area? He didn't say much, and just sat on his own little perch, his legs dangling as he watched the exchange, counting his arrows lazily as his eyes would occasionally scan the surroundings.
Things were strange. Zora in the cold, earthquakes in the scablands and blood moons? Ugh. This was no good. The only thing he had on his side was an old bow and climbing skills honed by growing up and keeping up with bird people.
Useless Hylian that can climb good at your service.

Roughly an hour after the rito scouts were lost to the distance, horrible tremors begin in the ground. It would appear the increased wanderings in this area has woken up something best left asleep. Boulders come together about 50 yards in front of where the adventurers had gathered. As the sounds of colliding rocks fills the air the conglomeration of rocks fits itself into a roughly humanoid figure, bright, luminous stone deposits spread across its body.
It would seem the goron elders were correct, a talus had woken here and needs to be brought down quickly.
Once the talus finished putting itself together it let out a low, rumbling, roar that made the smaller pebbles on the lightly snow-covered earth dance.
It then turns towards the group, as if just realizing their presence, swinging its arm as it turns. the stones comprising its arm fly forth in an arc towards the group. It clearly wasn't very happy to see them.

"Ah... w-well, I guess I just wasn't... able to get a chance to leave..." Lavi offered with a slight grin, only for it to fade into a minor frown. He wished he had been able to... more so, perhaps, that he'd not come here in the first place. He knew full well it was going to be worrisome for him, but... too late now.
So it seemed, then... it was just them and the Gorons? There was one Rito a little ways off, as far as he'd gathered, but whether there was anyone else around, he wasn't certain, and it was hardly the time to concern himself. More so, there were the rocks that were starting to move. A... what did they call it... 'Talus'? That was... not something he was equipped to deal with. "I-I hope... one of you know how to... ack!" the Rito cried out, only just able to dodge a rock coming his way. Kicking off quickly enough from the ground from there, he set himself to wing, clicking his beak nervously as he glanced over the stone creature.
"I-I can... try and support everyone with magic, but... I'm not sure what my bow can do against this thing..."

Lelana shrieked seeing the Talus form and then fling a bolder at the collected group of odd balls. She dived out of the way being pelted only by smaller gravel. She had managed to take a brief moment surveying their weapons. Bows and spears...just peachy. She really wished that Daruhan hadn’t meandered off for some rock sirloin. The most she was going to be capable of doing was crowd control and healing. She could probably use her ice spell to topple the rocky monster.
Rope wasn’t going to be terribly effective in apprehending it either. This was that moment that Lelana heard the voice of her father ring out in her memory telling her that she was not competent to face the various monsters of Hyrule.
There were rocks they could use to potentially drop on it...but they needed strength and a good few hammers here. They needed Goron’s. She looked around again seeing that the Hylian and additional Rito were more lithe and agile. Climbers and flyers. Lelana was not a climber, in fact she couldn’t imagine what worse situation she got herself into. Her best bet here would be trying to aim and angle her ice structures to catapult projectiles and plan them to dislodge the Talus.
“We need to keep it contained!” She called to those around her. “Break it apart or make it seize...my ice might not be too effective at causing damage but if I can set it off in the right spots it might expand and force the rocks to break apart.”
This was the best she had here, it wasn’t much...but it was better than nothing.
Right?

Time to spread my wings Well, at least someone was the kind of person who had to have control of situations it seemed, ugh. Why did it have to be one of these things? And why did it have to be so damn vocal? Zeke tapped his foot impatiently as it rose up, but soon found his self running and jumping forward, sliding along the ground, using his feet as brakes before he got too close to the thing. "Oh, so it's got a good throwing arm." He droned out, hopping to his feet.
"Well there's something I can do." Zeke looked around for the nearest wall to the Talus and made for the rocks. Why did he have to come along? He's dealt with falling rocks, including the rocks he held onto while climbing, and he's dealt with numerous other dangers that came with being a human that lives with... ya know... the feathery things that fly stupidly high up off the ground. At flights where if a human were to fall, they'd become the human equivalent to salsa? Yea.
"This is gonna suck." As soon as he got to the cliff face he was running for, he immediately jumped onto it and started climbing upwards, leaping for what rocks he could get a hold of, aiming to end up somewhere above the Talus and hopefully get a good jumping angle on it. That is, if he could make it up there without the damn thing trying to take him down. He was focused more on climbing and catching his self.

Well Crap. This thought ran through Kida’s mind as she dove for the dirt, large rocks flying overhead. Looking around it seemed that the others had dodged. “My spear will be useless but at least I can distract it with my arrows…that’s about it though,” she said looking over to the Zora.
It was encouraging to see different species working together. “Keep it contained huh?” she shrugged lightly and began to ready her wind spell “I can try.” She was ready to help in any way she could dealing with this creature.
