Site Lore Every 100 years, Ganon comes back to try and take a chaotic reign over the land of Hyrule, and just 200 years ago, he came back as a beast known as Calamity Ganon. Hyrule was left in shambles with nothing left to it but a few settlements. Guardians, what they didn't destroy, they forced into hiding. 100 years after Calamity Ganon was finally sealed away is where we're at. The hero and the Princess are now long gone, with nothing left but remnants of their blood line. They traveled the land of Hyrule, rebuilding hope, and with that hope, came the demolishing of the old Castle town, and the establishment of Hyrule Village. In the shadow of the crumbling castle, this town has slowly began to thrive, bringing hope and inter-racial agreements across the land. As a trading hub for all races, the guards are of whoever wishes to help, the traders the same. This melting pot town soon became the center of Hyrule as it was in it's golden days, and now, it helps send out pioneers to rebuild and repair collapsing settlements so the people of Hyrule can rebuild this land to it's former glory.
The Sheikah started a program called the "guardian clean-up" where they collected all bits and pieces of guardians that they could find and relocated them to a mysterious structure out to sea off the coast of Akkala. There are guards there, and no one is allowed near the structure.
Will you help or hinder the people of Hyrule? Or are you simply out for your own adventure? (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE
Basic Rules The rules are simple and basic for an RP site. While this site may be primarily driven by what you, the players do as a whole in the events to come and just in general on the board, that doesn't mean that we're a free for all in it's entirety. Don't worry, I'm not too strict, I won't ask of much from you guys rather than you pay mind to what rules I do lay down. - The most basic of them all, be respectful to others.
- If you're outright metagaming or powerplaying, there's a very high chance you might come across something that will end your characters life. Don't tempt fate, lest ye be burned. You've been warned.
- Stay in line with Proboards ToS and keep your posts Pg-13. I ain't a big stickler myself, considering I curse like a sailor. Just be mindful.
- Another basic rule, don't steal characters. If you're caught stealing a character, I will take down the app (with a copy) until further notice. Don't worry, I'll ask for proof from both parties. Fair trial and what not.
- If you app as a hero or pilot, or app as a villain, you'll be trusted not to absolutely abuse being inherently stronger than the rest of the public. It'd be like me taking my blademaster around just so I can beat new heroes into the ground. Be trusted to be fair.
- Do not harass any of my mods. If I don't get to your mod summons, they will in due time. We are here to help you, not be your slaves. You'll get a couple of warnings. If you're being playful with them, be clear that you're being playful so we can avoid any huge misunderstandings.
- We won't shame you in front of others, so do not shame others. If you notice a mistake with something or are having problems with someone, please bug your RP partner or me if it's a moderator mistake in a private message. Nobody likes to be put on the spot over a mistake.
- I'm not gonna sit back and take bullying. If another member is giving you problems in our Discord chat or here, send me a PM with some screenshots of the conversation and I'll bring it up to the other party. If you ever feel threatened, don't be afraid to come to me or one of my mods.
- RP courtesy is important. Unless a mod knows about it, you discussed it with your thread partner(s), and/or the thread has been declared to have no posting order, there will be one on the site for all default threads. A mod has to know about any planned swaps. Especially if they're modding monsters for it. This mostly avoids annoyance and drama, but it's primarily common courtesy.

Application Rules Faceclaims from the canon games are allowed. You just can't app that character. Non-human races can use human FCs that loosely reference the appearance or traits of their race. Example, buff/huge FCs can work for gorons. Your characters can not be tied to important characters such as Sidon, Teba, Riju etc etc. It's not allowed, at all, your application will be slapped with a pending sticker and you'll be PMd about it. Characters that think they're related to them are allowed, but they can not actually be related. Hylian: The most common race and a jack of all trades, the Hylian build usually allows players to play a part in teams as a sort of swiss army knife. Talented ones are able to learn up to 4 elements due to their natural neutrality. Gerudo: This race consists of mostly females and they're all tall and surprisingly agile. Their height gives them some more physical power over most Hylians, as well as making them the most viable for reaching things on the top shelf. Sheikah: A race bred for stealth and agility, while they can't take as much of a hit as their twisted counterparts, the Sheikah is great in or out of parties. Recon and sneak attacks being some of their more favorable tactics despite how dangerous they are to deploy. Yiga: Sheikah turned to ganon through prayer, they lose some of their speed, but in turn, become stronger. It's noted that the foot soldiers of the Yiga clan... are not the smartest. Maybe Ganon takes a bit of their intelligence as well when they start out since they tend to be a bit goofier than the others. Goron: These powerful rock beings dwell all over Hyrule, but are easier to find among the lava pools of the ever active Death Mountain. They're not too great at stealth or speed, but they're incredibly powerful in muscle sense, and make great tanks to take the blows for their friends. Zora: Well known for their speed and grace in water, the Zora fulfill their roles the best in water. Their skin is susceptible to abrasions, and they can't really take a hit at all, but they're unstoppable in the water and adept in magic uses. Rito: Their race is well known for their sharpshooters and they live up to that name. The Rito are proud, temperature resilient bird people who cut through the air like razors. Sadly, bird bones don't do so well being overpowered in physical combat, but these guys rule the skies. Deku: A frail race, the Deku specialize in healing others and communicating with nature. They move the best among shrubs and trees, and are rumored to be able to speak with the earth... What they lack in size though, they make up for in their magic and undying love for the wilds. Monster: Strange beings that have been hideously morphed by Ganon's power, this is what becomes of those who aren't Sheikah turn to him for power. Their features change, they lose some skill in magic, but are machines of war. Their stamina and strength is impeccable and they're considered pseudo-yiga. - Choosing an element! When you pick your element, please keep in mind that some races have an advanced knowledge of certain elements. All races have strengths and weaknesses. Keep those in mind while you're writing your character! For example, a Goron can NOT swim. Also keep in mind that the elemental advantage your race may have simply means that you'll be more efficient at spells of that specific element rather than start knowing any spells. I.E. Zora to water, Rito and Gerudo to wind, etc. etc.
Don't worry, earning rupees is easy here! - How magic works here! The magic works wholly on a trust system now! Whenever you unlock a spell, you can perform free-form based magic along side of it. Example being were Link to get Wall of Flame, he would be able to perform higher leveled cantrips off of that spell. Such as not just creating a wall of flame but his summoned fires can be stronger and he can do more tricks with it that mimic and are similar to the effect of that spell!
- On hair and eyes! For the sake of face claims as some are very limited, hair, eyes and even skin in some cases can be fudged a little. Contacts can exist, but are difficult to obtain, this can help Sheikah and Yiga have a different eye color without using illusions to disguise their red eyes. As for hair, hair dye DOES exist, but your character's race will still have their natural colors under these guises!
- Roles! Roles are limited, and you're only allowed one key role. If you make a chief or leader of some sort, you can not make another. However, with occupations, you can have several guards and what not. Roles are the only thing you can have one of each of. Here's our list of canon roles. Taken roles will have the player's name tagged next to it.

SITE TIMELINE & PLOT ADVANCEMENT - The Return of a Curse: The blood moon is coming back to Hyrule and the Yiga have been confirmed to still exist in a terrifying... but rather effective manner. The people of Hyrule are now scared more than ever due to rumors and 75% of Lurelin village has been wiped out. It is up to the people to rebuild. 12/18/2017

Hylians Hylians! They're a hardy little race. While they can't live quite as long as others, and they're also a touch on the shorter side, they can still manage a pretty good height and weight. They don't really have very many special abilities, but what they lack in abilities, they make up for in adaptability, hardiness and charisma. They're absolutely great with inspirational speeches, that's for sure. They're the true drummer boys of war! While Hylians don't have as many talents or abilities as other races, they do have a neutral elemental affinity, meaning that Hylians can eventually learn up to 3 extra schools of magic on top of their birth element, of course, the next one being more restricted than the last.

Gerudos Gerudo! A mostly female race that dominates the desert region of Hyrule. Their incredibly tall stature makes most men stand in awe of them, even after the establishment of Hyrule village, it seems that not everyone is yet accustomed to looking at these impressive guys, gals and non-binary pals. Males used to be believed to not exist in their race, but recent findings have seen to that as false. In the heat of battle, Gerudo are fierce and intimidating warriors that will cut a path for their fellow warriors!

Sheikah Sheikah! These white haired, red eyed individuals seem to live for well over 100 years. There's been no records found on just how long they can live, but their age is apparent in their physical appearance. Sheikah are masters of illusions and stealth. They strike their enemies where they least expect it with form and speed, their fighting leaves no room for error, and their warriors are trained from a young age to master their abilities. Sheikah, being masters of shadow manipulation and the human body, have heightened physical capabilities. Run faster, jump higher, they've mastered stealth and agility to the point that they can disappear completely, but only travel a short distance like that. Sheikah, while agile and stealthy, can become over encumbered and lose out on stealth. Their ability to disappear can only be used once per thread and can not be used to insta-attack another player or monster. It can be used to gain an upper hand though. They can see, hear and almost 'sense' things in their immediate area, giving them a sense of awareness akin to that of a Deku in the forest.

Yiga Yiga! The polar opposite yet the same as Sheikah. They sold their souls in service to Ganon to try and take down the hero, and anyone that would help the hero in his quest. They seem to be... much duller than their Sheikah counterparts as well. Most of the time, it seems like they rely on orders to know what to do. While they have great physical prowess, they seem to be lacking in the brains department. Along with some slight mental changes, they're now Ganon's and have become almost monsters in their own rights. Yiga may under go physical changes in appearance. Such as darkening of hair, eye color or skin and are also able to disguise themselves as a Hylian flawlessly -- but HAVE to reveal themselves if called out on it, or if they attack. Yiga are strong and versatile pseudo monsters created by the merging of 'ganon's blessing'. They can take and deal a much bigger hit than the Sheikah, and are rightfully seen as dangerous. Though, unlike their sheikah counterparts, it's noted that the foot soldiers are a bit on the dumb side, it's even been noticed by some that Foot Soldiers seen to have a tendency to be distracted by mighty bananas at least once.Due to our Blood Moon mechanic, that helps keep bad guys an actual threat on this site, the way the Yiga strength works is slightly different. For simplicity's sake, we'll call the two different type of blood moons 1 and 2. 1 Being the weaker kind. Without a blood moon active, Yiga and their familiars are as they usually are. Blood moon type 1, the weaker kind, gives the yigas a slight boost in power! Blood moon type 2, the stronger, much more threatening kind, causes the Yiga to feel the rage of Ganon flowing through their veins. Their temperaments begin to change and they become much stronger and more volatile! You will never encounter a horde of Yiga during a blood moon event if you're running solo, but this does make them notable threats and can grant a greater challenge to participants battling against them should you wish to encounter villains. This race is capable of being able to disguise themselves, flawlessly, like a Hylian. But there's a catch. If they start a fight, or are called out, the illusion breaks and they're forced to reveal their true selves. Do not wrongfully call out Yiga in a thread. Discuss it with your RP partner if you plan for a call out to happen. They can also disappear just like the Sheikah, but can travel much greater distances. This has it's own set of rules from the Sheikah and even allow for some different mechanics that can be found below. Yiga Teleportation Fatigue! Yiga can teleport into and out of threads, but upon teleportation, they can not be attacked or attack. This helps keep the yiga invasion a threat as it's known. And they can only do this once per thread. Familiars Familiars must be stated in the app what they are and how they found them, as well as having their own physical description somewhere in the app. It should also be noted that familiars are both their master's element and shadow. Familiars can even be present in their life before either one of them are granted power by Ganon! Familiars are varying animals that are marked as such by how they're slightly larger than their non-magical animal counter parts. They have monstrous traits about them, and some, in fact most, have the Yiga emblem somewhere on their body! They are directly tied to their master's life force, meaning if the master gets knocked out in battle, so will the familiar. But the familiar itself can not die until the master does! They can be weakened and eventually dispelled with light and the opposing force of the secondary element. If this happens and the familiar is defeated in combat (dispelled), then they can not come back in that thread!Familiars can be used for various things, depending on the animal, like scouting, combat, riding and sometimes companionship! Goron Goron! Goron are hardy, human like life forms that hail from Death Mountain. They can take a hit, and hit you back ten fold without batting an eye over it. What they lack in speed, they make up for in sheer power and loyalty. If you help a Goron out, they will help you back as soon as they can, on their honor. They are, however, incredibly vulnerable to water. They lack the ability to swim, and the only water you can catch a Goron in are the shallow hot springs surrounding their volcanic home. Goron are amazingly powerful in physical body! They can crunch their way through a delicious rock sirloin with no problem what so ever! They can stomp their way through shallow lava without a problem, making them flame and heat resistant. Of course, standing in lava for too long will result in injury. More than 2 whole posts in lava will result in gradual injury! They make up for their sluggishness by being able to roll! Though rolling does come with it's disadvantages, it's good to note that if you have a linear path you can use to escape, Goron rolling makes getting through that path easy as saying key lime pie! Goron rolling and endurance! Goron rolling can do some pretty damage to any poor soul caught in the way, but it's very loud, and they're not that agile without obstacles to change their direction off of. Goron rolling can be a good way for your goron friend to get to your side faster or in front of you to take the attack. To make up for Goron being so slow, when taking damage, Gorons halve all damage done to them to the rocky portions of their body, making their back and forearms sufficient shields. The Goron endurance is also notable. They're much more capable of taking damage and carrying on than other races, making them a terrifying force to combat should they catch you! Zora Zora! These giant, aquatic, human-like fish are impressive in height, even to a Gerudo, and can live for well over 100 years. They come in a variety of colors and patterns and resemble what seems like mostly sharks, dolphins and rays. They are near unstoppable in the water, and can put a Gerudo and her Naginata to shame with how they handle a spear. The past 100 years have brought the Zora together with other races yet again, but they do not handle any sort of lacking in humidity very well. Zora are capable of climbing up waterfalls and laughing at you as you scale your way up sheer cliff facings to try and get to where they're at! They're swift, powerful and near unstoppable in water, excelling in water based combat and water based magic, making them exceptional healers! Out of the water though, they're slower than Hylians and their skin isn't built for rough stone and such. Mud and smooth surfaces, yes, rough rock? No. They're easily annoyed by rough terrain and electricity Zora skin and water assist! Zora may be near unstoppable in the water, but due to their more fragile skin, they're much more susceptible to damage dealt to them. The Zora agility in water and capability to climb waterfalls makes them excellent escapists as well as rescuers for team mates having fallen in the water. Gorons being the only exception to what they can swim with without assistance. But despite all of these physical, dry land short comings, Zora make astounding healers, capable of healing twice as much in one go! This can also keep them and their friends in the fight longer! Rito Rito! The majestic bird people from Tabantha are masters of the sky. Once they take to it, their natural cold resistance allows them to easily reach heights that no bow can reach. They're a gentle, music loving race that also knows how to fight back should push come to shove. They vary in color and species, the ancient role model Kass resembling a blue macaw, Teba resembling a White harpy Eagle and Revali with a strong resemblance to a falcon are just some examples to their variety! Rito can't take hard hits as other races due to their bones, and may prefer to stay far away from others during combat. This tendency has led to the creation of near perfect aerial combatants. Being able to glide through the air and use a bow without hitting the ground is much more than other races could ask for! Rito vs water and carrying others! A single rito, if strong enough, can carry a Hylian, Sheikah or Deku with ease! Gerudo and Zora may be difficult because of their size, and when it comes to Goron? It's impossible. I- ... At least it's fun to picture that! (C) ELLIE @ GANGNAM STYLE

Deku Deku! Are an incredibly rare race, just coming out of the wood works once again as they show their face. Some thought they were monsters at first, but their adorable faces, ability to speak fluent Hylian and willingness to help quickly earned love from the people of Hyrule. Not much else is known about them though, except that they seem to have an uncanny ability to navigate and love nature... Starting spells are as such: (You get these right out of the starting gates!) Druid's care: Heals minor damage in all categories Druid's grasp: Twist roots to try and trip and grab pursuing enemies. The same can be done with branches in an attempt to halt aerial foes. Deku Healing, Mucus, Tracking and Sensing! These little guys may be frail, but anyone that underestimates them may make a fool of themselves. To start off, Deku can heal twice as much with a single spell! Just like a Zora! A Deku's mucus is a natural defense mechanism that not many people stop to think about. If a threat gets too close, this sticky mucus can be used to impede movements and slow down someone's approach! If they use it too much though, they'll start to feel sick. Deku, thanks to being so in touch with the earth, can use trees to feel vibrations throughout the ground. The more trees there are, the more at home and in touch with the earth they feel! And thanks to living lives so close to the ground, surrounded by foliage, these little guys have become excellent trackers! They can find disturbed foliage, the lightest of footprints on the earth, chipped bark, bent grass, flipped rocks and more! Even Sheikah have a hard time hiding from these guys!
