Roles
Your activity is key to keeping any Canon role that you claim. If you miss an activity check without notice of any kind, you will be removed from the position, ret-conned and your actions will be done by the NPC that was in place before you. If you come back after being removed, you can re-app for the position but we will be more wary and the whole mod team will look at the application and talk it over.
As of right now, all Canon roles not taken are taken by nameless and faceless NPCs.
You are only allowed 1 major role, and unlimited minor role. Major is defined as heroes, pilots and race leaders. Minor roles are everything else.
Unawakened Hero - (Hylian only) The unawakened hero, chosen by the goddess herself to wield the master sword and fight alongside the princess in combat. Until they're awakened, their presence is unknown, and may even be unknown to the hero until the power surfaces. His unwavering courage is his most noticeable trait. Once awakened, their power becomes known to Ganon and his underlings.
Unawakened Princess - (Hylian only) The unawakened princess, chosen by the goddess herself to seal Ganon away into the sacred realm. Her powers are difficult to master, and may take a time of great strife for her powers to finally surface. Usually, the princess will awaken, but go without the knowledge to use her powers much longer than the hero, but that doesn't mean Ganon and his underlings won't hunt her. Once awakened, their power becomes known to Ganon and his underlings.)
Vah Medoh Pilot - (Rito only.) Chosen by the chief of the Rito, this bird gets the honor of maintaining and piloting Vah Medoh. They're taught by the Sheikah how to use their slate and on how their Divine Beast works. They're intent on not burying these machines just in case Ganon should rise once again as a calamity. The Divine Beast must stay in Rito Village. No one but other pilots, the hero and/or the princess can board the Divine Beast. You will start with the Great Eagle Bow, which allows you to hit harder.
Vah Ruta Pilot - (Zora only.) Chosen by the Zora's leader themself, this fish gets the honor of maintaining and piloting Vah Ruta. They're taught by the Sheikah how to use their slate and on how their Divine Beast works. They're intent on not burying these machines just in case Ganon should rise once again as a calamity. The Divine Beast must stay around Zora's Domain, in their proper reservoirs. No one but other pilots, the hero and/or the princess can board the Divine Beast. You will start with the Lightscale Trident, which allows you to hit harder.
Vah Rudania Pilot - (Goron only.) Chosen by the Goron Chief, this Goron gets the honor of maintaining and piloting Vah Rudania. They're taught by the Sheikah how to use their slate and on how their Divine Beast works. They're intent on not burying these machines just in case Ganon should rise once again as a calamity. The Divine Beast must stay on Death Mountain. Especially because of it's dangerous heat output. No one but other pilots, the hero and/or the princess can board the Divine Beast. You will start with the Boulder Breaker, which allows you to hit harder.
Vah Naboris Pilot - (Gerudo only.) Chosen by the Gerudo Chief herself, this girl gets the honor of maintaining and piloting Vah Naboris. They're taught by the Sheikah how to use their slate and on how their Divine Beast works. They're intent on not burying these machines just in case Ganon should rise once again as a calamity. The Divine Beast must stay in the Gerudo Desert. No one but other pilots, the hero and/or the princess can board the Divine Beast. You will start with the Scimitar of the Seven, which allows you to hit harder. You will also get Daybreaker, which has been said to deflect any sword
Yiga Clan Master and Blade Masters: The Yiga master commands the legion of Ganon's minions for their dark King while the Blade Masters may work as a front man, and fight by their side if needed. In turn for their undying loyalty to their king, they're much more frightening to deal with than the footsoldiers. The Yiga master hits harder, even more so than their blade masters, and have the speed to keep up with other Sheikah in combat. The master is even capable of denying the lure of a Mighty Banana entirely. Blade Masters on the other hand, while it's hard, can deny a mighty banana while in combat. Engaging in combat with these characters as a new adventurer is highly discouraged. The Yiga master has boosted capabilities of a regular Yiga and Blade Masters start off with a Wind Cleaver as their weapon and a spell that only they can learn. "Vent spire: The blade masters have honed this technique and utilize it regularly to knock their foes off balance, as well as deal some damage. Slamming their fist into the earth, a trail of earth leading up to their target shatters with an updraft, ending in a sharp spire of rock coming from the ground."
Hateno Mayor: This leader has become an icon of sorts to the Hylian people. They make sure their ambassador keeps up with their job, properly, as well as handling any troubles that may arise in the slow growing little farm town of Hateno.
Gerudo Chief: A strong leader is needed to lead the Gerudo people. They make sure that their people's ambassador keeps up with her job, properly, as well as handling any troubles that may rise from the sands that their people roam.
Sheikah Master: They've spent a good part of their lives honing their skills and have earned the respect of Kakariko village so much that they placed them in the leadership position as their master. The master's duties are a little more broad, as they have to monitor Sheikah activity to ensure that defectors/missing Sheikah are noted. They also manage their ambassador as well, but expect them to do their job well.
Goron Chief: They can be old, or oldish, these goron are the pinnacle of strength among their own kind and lead their race in the face of the deadliest environment of all of Hyrule. They usually get respect from more than just their own race simply for being so powerful. It's difficult for them to communicate with their ambassador, but they do their best. Goron do function rather well on the honor system to begin with.
Zora King/Queen: Zora live for quite a long time, so when a new king or queen steps in to take the other's place, the older of the Zora society can become crotchety and highly judgmental of their new leader. This new leader has quite a bit to deal with from not only the ambassador and the elderly community, but the water ways as well. This leader also has to make sure Hyrule's waterways stay relatively safe and clean, considering quite a bit of water that flows through Hyrule passes through the Domain and it's surrounding areas.
Rito Chief: The Rito people are a broad race of different patterns, colors and feather styles. The Rito Chief is blind to all these and sees their flock as one. It's their job to make sure their archers can keep the skies clear and that their ambassador sends the right message for them.
Deku Chief: The Deku chief is under a lot of stress to prove that their race is not a monster to the people of Hyrule, and their duty to watch over their ambassador, keep news up with them and make sure communications stay clear is much more prevalent than the other races.
Heads of departments and their researchers: Diplomacy aside, the land of Hyrule needs to know everything they can about their own land. Maps, animals, lore and so on and so forth, all things need to be recorded for knowledge and the future of the land.
Dojo Master and his trainers: These guys are patient and always willing to train others. They're skilled in most combat mediums, but specialize one of three. Hand to hand, Swords, spears and hammers and the last one being specialized in bows.
