[attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: @irok Lavi @eolet @ashei @dani ✉ notes: D:< both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Not even a Lizalfos! Alex nocked one last broadhead and fired it at the down Lizalfos, hoping to finish it off and get moving. Good good good. Alex noted as both of them as he began hopping from roof to roof. He finally got a good look at the man as the moon peaked in the sky. His eyes did their best, but he could swore this man's eyes were red. Granted, the blood moon made everything red, so it was hard to tell what was going on. Really though, the man seemed like he was a Sheikah with that get up. Wait, like a Sheikah? Alex paused for just a moment at that one before he went back to roof hopping, replaying the words of a certain Sheikah girl in his head as the realization was beginning to dawn on him. "Hate to break it to ya, but yea, they're real. I figured you'd be able to handle the news better than most. The elders want to keep it hidden cause they outright believe that the knowledge that the yiga are still here as a hidden menace would cause panic among the people."
"They're persistent banana fucks. They're also strong and just as fast as us Sheikah." Fuck. So one of them was leading the attack. Lurelin village too, it made too much sense. They were just fucking bananas. This was where the Sheikah "keeping it a secret" blew up in literally everyone's face, oh the vindication he was feeling at that one. If they knew, there might be panic but then the attack probably wouldn't have been as successful as it currently was. Fucking ancient red-eyed pricks. Right, it was time to end this whole charade of secrecy and privacy. Crystal might punch him for it later but whatever, he figured it would be an acceptable price to pay, it might give the fighters some kind of edge if they knew what they were dealing with. As he made it to the roof, he holstered his bow, cupped his hands to his mouth and made an announcement that would probably change things. "It's a Yiga!" He roared out and likely put a target on his back. Fuuuuuuck this was going to suck. Let no one ever say he didn't risk his ass when the cards were down. "They're a match for Sheikah, strong and just as fast!" He looked at the Yiga's bodyguards, those would be the easy ones, once they were done then really it was time to leave. It would take cooperation to stop this person, and no one wanted to, but he would give it a try. "Rito with the Light Magic, toss me a weapon, arm the others too!" He knew enough about the technique to know how it worked originally. This was just someone re-imagining that. It was a spear as he knew it, but maybe it could be morphed into a sword? Either way, a light weapon was a light weapon. They needed to wrap this up now, and monsters were weak to light magic. This Rito could arm the entire party, it was time to do that. "Other Rito, keep the monsters busy!" No one else was helping. What the fuck was everyone else doing? Seriously, if they survived this and that warrior woman from earlier was nowhere to be seen, he would legitimately track her down and murder her himself. This was a disaster, a complete trainwreck. He was going to get everyone out of the Town Hall and get out. This situation was probably beyond salvaging. All they could do was hold for a bit. Glancing down the town hall, he gave one last order. "What are you waiting for?! Get out of here!" Now he would stare in the jaws of the abyss and hope for the best. Unsheathing his blade, he hopped back down into the actual danger zone and joined the fray. He really, really didn't want to, but there had to be at least one body in the way while people moved on out, considering aside from the timid Rito earlier, gods smile upon him, was literally the only other person doing anything. Yiga?
Irok had never heard of any Yiga, but from the way the pissy Hylian was yelling out, he could acknowledge he had to take it seriously. Besides, the way he was handling that wind and the longsword was no joke.
"I'm on it!" His request to keep the monsters busy was easily honored. Any other time he might have complained about being ordered around, but it was well beyond that time, and he was willing to contribute however he could. It was for the good of the town, and protecting them from this threat. This was beyond overly aggressive monsters now - the moon, the twister, the appearance of this Yiga, whatever it might be... He flew overhead, launching arrows as fast as he could between the two monsters protecting the Yiga. He'd kepe them distracted, all right, kill them if he could. It only took him a few seconds between shots to nock and aim, so he did his best to just bounce back and forth between them both, shouting to draw attention. "Hiyaaaaaaaah!"
He dove down, hovering above the earth to distract the remaining monsters from the human still struggling to flee. "Run, we'll keep them off you! Don't stop until you're well away from the village!" He called to the people as he launched another arrow toward the Lizalfos. Its speed would make it the most dangerous threat, so it seemed a reasonable target to go for first while Hero Boy and the Hylian tried to strike at the Yiga. Plot Event! // ---

When had that happened? The opening on her upper arm was proof that it –had- happened, even if she didn’t entirely know when or how. Maybe when it was jumping over, it’d gotten it’s blade in behind her shield and dragged it along? Too late to really be theorizing on it; too late to regret moving up to try and help. Not too late to be ignored though, as one Rito left after helping Eolet up and another came and attacked the Lizalfos without a word. Well. They could all go their separate ways after this, she supposed; assuming they all made it out anyway. Loosing her wounded shield hand enough to accept the handle of her blade, she struck underhand and across the Lizalfos’ legs with both hands on the sword.
Not like it was going to easily dodge her or anything. She arched it back, and aimed across its waist too. Good thing he was such a big target; it would have been harder to do this sort of thing to a human sized target, with another holding them down. Time to move on.
“Best be leavin’ while the goings good. Gonna run you out and anyone we come across to make sure you get there, and then I’m coming back in for these lot.” Her arm was getting pretty sore now. Sheathing the sword at her side, she swapped the shield from her bad arm to her good one; all she needed to do really was block shots while they moved, and hopefully a good shield strike to the head would stagger anything else enough to allow them by. Spurring her on into movement by taking her hand and gently pulling; more for herself, even though it still drew a wince from her; she started leading the Gerudo, and hopefully any other straggler still near enough, out to safety.
‘Safety.’ Hopefully.

Yiga.
Someone had called him out. So they knew what he was, hmm? Strange -- he hadn't seen any Sheikah around. The voice had been the one of the blonde Hylian boy, too. Must've gotten the information from a Shiekah pal of his. Damned fools. Couldn't even keep their own fucking secrets. All the more reason why they deserved to perish. Felled, like nothing more than a tree falling victim to a skilled lumberjack with a well maintained axe. Looking over the destruction, Masanori frowned. This was taking far far too long. He needed to be faster -- more deadly. To drive home the point that he was here too kill them. He grinned as he looked up at the blood moon, spreading his arms wide and holding the blade in one hand.
His voice would ring out over the area -- drowning out all other sounds.
"LORD GANON! HEAR MY CALL! ACCEPT THIS BLOOD SACRIFICE FROM YOUR DEVOTED SERVANT, AND GRANT ME THE POWER I NEED TO SMITE THESE HEATHENS!"
Then, Masanori turned his blade around -- and gripped it with both hands. He plunged the blade into his own gut, before ripping it out, a shower of red hitting the ground before him. The moons glow only grew brighter -- and an eerie red aura began to swirl around the Yiga Masters blade. He took a step forward, hardly even feeling the self inflicted wound that had already began to staunch it's own bleeding. A red gale swirled around the Windcleaver like a hurricane, and Masanori raised the blade.
He swung down, and send the 'Ganons Gale' as he liked to call it, forward towards a good remaining section of the village. About half of it was in front of him, and the gale tore right through it. Not just buildings -- fences, livestock, and trees, too. Nothing remained but pure, unbridled destruction, and the limp bodies of those unfortunate enough to have gotten caught in the blast. Hell, he'd hardly noticed that his two 'bodyguards' around him had been felled by arrows from the Rito above him.
The eerie glow faded, it's power spent. Masanori panted, beginning to sweat. The Blood Moon took a price on everyone. He wasn't sure if even his body could withstand summoning more power from it like that again. Powerful as he was, he was still mortal. He had to remember that. The Blood Moon influenced his head too much, and the pain was a nice reminder to drive off the claws that dug into his mind when under its effects. It was a balancing act -- a game of deadly chess played between Ganon and his loyal Yiga servant.
He fell to one knee, exhausted. But now an opening had presented itself -- he wondered, what would the 'heroes' do?
(75% of the village has been completely leveled in total by the monster forces. @ashei was caught in the blast and has suffered a severe wound from a bit of debrie hitting her. She is no longer in fighting condition and has 3 posts to find a way to staunch the bleeding before she passes out from blood loss. The wound is of your choice. Strike 2. Reasoning: Posted when they were explicitly asked to wait until the next DM post. Make sure to listen next time.)

"I-I'm sorry... I don't have enough control to do more than fire them..." the cardinal-like Rito called down in response to the demand given. Demand... he couldn't find himself appreciating that, though a distraction from that distaste proved to arrive quite shortly. Just... how was any one person so loud? And what was all this about... Lord Ganon?
What had he even gotten himself wrapped up in?
Well... never mind that it was probably exactly the sort of thing his parents would've wanted of all his training, the chance to do something special, to be a hero. They needed to leave, fast; everyone did, or this psychopath and any monsters that might've remained that he hadn't yet spotted would just end everything. Never minding them, he himself needed to move. Quickly, avoid getting buffeted too much by the wind that carried along that red, destructive gale. Look down, make sure everyone was alright, especially around where he should have left Eolet. If he'd messed up and not gotten her out, well... but there were other things to immediately concern himself with, besides.
Like the man himself, weak though he appeared. Was he, truly, or...?
"E-everyone please run! Everyone who can fight, p-please cover the edges... make sure no other monsters show up. I-I'll... I'll..." Lavi called out. Though he could already feel himself shaking, struggling a little to stay aloft even besides the pain still lingering in his shoulder that only had so much left in it. Further and further, he could feel the panic leaking in as everything inside him told him to leave, as fast as he possibly could. Light magic... was supposed to be good against evil forces like this... wasn't it? He had one... maybe two left in him, after what he'd spent so far and everything he'd dealt with. One would have to do, the Rito calming himself, at least for a moment, to fire off a good shot, or as good as he could get between his light arrow and the basic, beginner bow he'd taken from the village when he'd left. One shot toward the man's shoulder... sure, he'd already stabbed himself through the stomach, but if some damage was caused there, then maybe...?
He couldn't stay, though... not for much longer, and already he was starting to drift toward the group leaving the now ruined fishing village.

Ah... fuck it. Why'd she even tried getting involved? She'd never remembered it going well when she'd tried before, so why'd she expected tonight's escapade to be any different? 'Course, if she'd simply tried running then she might have gotten even more people killed - who knew at this point. Maybe the Goddesses or Triforce or whatever it was was that kind of vindictive. Maybe it would have been better if she'd just faded out and forgotten who she was, along with every other person she might have known in her life.
She was tired of thinking. Come what may, then. She let that hazy oblivion take her, finally; at least, for now.
Ashei didn't know where the last wound had been struck, but the villager that found her did. Wouldn't know anyone had bothered trying to save her till after; by binding the head wound as best they could in these circumstances; if she woke up again. Where she might even end up would be a complete mystery to her; taken up in the arms of another farmer who ran, her rusted sword and fractured shield left behind as mementos of another bad life choice. Would she even get to say thank you, to everyone who'd tried?
Who knew.
(Officially saying I'm leaving at this point, in case anyone needed an explicit written confirmation on the site rather then Discord. Have fun.)

[attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: @irok Lavi ✉ notes: *grumbles* both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Ganon? What? That wasn't good. This was the real deal then, it was only solidified when he saw what the Yiga did next. Plunging his sword into his own abdomen, Alex could only watch, stunned, as he proceeded to level another half of the town. Right, there was no way that they were going to be taking this guy at full strength, which kind of came in handy that he had impaled himself before dropping to the ground, weakened. Alex raised an eyebrow at that one, who was stupid enough to open up to a horde of pissed off people while weak? Alex had a feeling that this may have been well, a trap. Kind of. The whole impalement was hard to argue against.
So the Yiga was wide open then. Alex looked at the fallen foe for a moment. Really, this would've been an easy kill assuming it wasn't a trap. Although honestly, was it a trap? The guy had literally just impaled himself on his own sword... he wondered if he could get that thing. Super powerful magic sword would be nice. Really, there was a chance to all just shoot the guy and maybe end it right there. But the self inflicted wound would also be lethal to most people. This also brought up another issue. Simply put, a red headed issue that was being more of a pain than anything, but goddamn.
He looked at his bow, tempted to just take a shot and end the Yiga, but he figured the Rito would probably get to that and handle it, so he looked back at the other Hylian, unconscious and bleeding to death. Nodding, he passed up on the chance to attack the Yiga and instead moved over to Ashei, kneeling down beside her as the palm of his free hand began to glow. This wasn't going to be pretty, but not much he could do. Fire streamed from the palm of his hand onto her wounds, to cauterize, stop the bleeding and, you know, actually save her life. "He's down for a moment, now go." He remarked, hoping the villagers would pick up the pace. The village was lost, but perhaps the people could be saved. Irok usually prided himself on keeping his cool in battle. While he wasn't stupid and he wasn't going to brag that he was "never scared", he managed to keep himself together in most cases. Monsters, villages being destroyed, screaming villagers - those were easy enough. Unsettling, to be sure, and he wasn't bombproof. No good fighter was, in his estimation, or else they were soulless. But this Yiga... The moment they drove their sword through their body, he stopped in midair. Had he killed himself for Ganon? The great evil? Then he was shown to still be alive, and that was when the fear became more real in Irok's mind.
The raven-like Rito saw him fall to the ground, but the warrior wasn't dead. It felt like Irok was on auto-pilot, watching everything happen around him. He could see the villagers fleeing, and the other fighters were helping them out. None of them seemed like they were going for him, and had opted to help the other villagers. But the Yiga wouldn't be stopped for long, if he was still alive after all that. Someone had to try and stop him.
Without taking another moment to think about it, Irok gave himself a little extra height so he could quickly notch an arrow and launched it toward the Yiga's bent head. He wasn't sure he would do much harm, if it couldn't be done to himself by his own hand, but perhaps he could stall or put some kind of hindrance on the fearsome warrior. Plot Event! // ---

Damned fools were smart, he could give them that. Two arrows were fired at him. One from behind, and another from the side. The smaller Rito's arrow hit first, impaling Masanori right through his left shoulder blade. It knocked him to the side, the second arrow hitting the ground where his head would've been if he hadn't been moved. Lucky him. It seemed Ganon didn't want him to die today... as much as it pained him that he couldn't continue, his body was wearing out. He'd be of no use to his master if he died now. No, he'd done enough damage. He'd gotten his point throughly across, that nobody was safe from their retribution. Slowly coming to a stand, he reached up with his right hand, snapping the arrow and pulling both pieces out. His red aura focused around his two major wounds, and soon enough, they were closed. Not fully healed, but the power of the blood moon had prevented his death today. But he was tired. He needed rest. And as the Blood Moon set over the horizon, so too did Masanori take his leave. A white cloud of smoke and magical talismans surrounded him as he seemingly vanished into nothingness, leaving not even footprints behind as he made his retreat. His whole body ached. Good to know he still had limits, at least. He was still mortal. That made the fights so much more exciting. (Masanori has taken his leave, folks! Congratulations, you've all damaged him enough so he must now rest. He will not be randomly invading mission threads for a while.)
