character description
appearance
Lelana is a white, piebald patterned Zora with black and scarlet markings similar to a koi fish. Her head tail and fins share the likeness of a koi fish as well. Her left eye is covered by a large scarlet spot that wraps down into her tail and over the bridge of her nose while on the right side she as a smaller black spot that covers half of her right eye. The rest of her markings are not uniquely out of the ordinary for a koi. She is small in stature standing at 5'4", she has a lithe and limber body which lends itself to her agility and speed.
Unlike most Zora's who take after marine predators, Lelana does not have the prominent sharks teeth to tear into prey. Her own teeth are much smaller and flat in the back, while she does have a few sharp teeth in the front they are not nearly as lethal as what is common.

PERSONALITY
Lelana was once a soft spoken and shy little Zora but after the exile of her childhood friend, Flynn, Lelana's demure nature began to change. She grew up devout to Hylia and made it one of her life pillars to embody the goddess' traits for her own. She is very nurturing and tender hearted which makes her temperament compatible with being a medic. Along with this Lelana is very compassionate which blends with her emotional intelligence and makes for connecting with people something Lelana enjoys greatly.
Through the ten years of Flynn's exile, Lelana grew from a quietly demure female to outspoken and defiant to her authority figures. Even more so, Lelana seeks her own purpose in the larger scheme of the world instead of being pawned off by her father in a politically advancing marriage.

character HISTORY
CHAPTER 1
Early Childhood (Birth to 75)
: Lelana is the daughter of a Zora elder and noble. Lelana is the eldest of two children; herself and her brother, Tova. A son was a boon to his family’s household to carry on the lineage while a daughter was Hylia’s gift to carry on the traditions of the family. Her father was of the Sea Zora Domain while her mother was a descendant of the River Tribe; this was displayed by her mother’s brilliant black and scarlet markings in resemblance to a koi fish. Like her mother, Lelana shared the piebald patterning but is white with black and scarlet mottling.
She was a quiet and shy little minnow who, one way or another received more attention than she wanted. This was attributed to her unique markings and river Zora heritage. Despite her being the daughter of one of the King’s elders the younglings didn’t discriminate based on rank and everyone had their fair share of mockery or friendship. The young males liked to pick on her because of her half-blood lineage while the young females would admire her for her unique and brilliant colors. Typical childhood antics. In her pre-growth spirt years she befriended a young male who was seen as an outcast by the other boys because he was much smaller and less assuming. He went by the name of Flynn and when the children would be out in the domain together Lelana would always look for him. There were a couple of times she tried to intervene when Tonga or some of the other, larger boys would try to pick on him. However, that never really worked out in her favor due to her own minuscule and petite size. But, when the opportunity presented itself she would always take him along on her little adventures
and his outspoken and stubborn disposition left an imprint on the girl.
Late Childhood-Growth Spurt (75-105): Despite her birthright to the elite of the Domain Lelana always has sought a simpler station that would give her life purpose and direction, well at least when she became of the apprenticing age. Lelana had wanted to train as a warrior but it was not commonly accepted, especially from a nobleman’s daughter. Instead she apprenticed with the domains medic where she learned to be a healer via botany and traditional medicinal practices. When she wasn’t studying or in the medic ward, Lelana was either out in the field on expeditions or she was caring after the Zora’s younglings. Her mentor taught her the virtue of patience and precision through the care of the children and while antics where tiresome it was a pleasant task.
Lelana was also a devout follower to the Goddess Hylia and she would daily visit the altar of the deity with offering and supplication. Lelana always asked for guidance for her purpose and direction, even though she was an apprentice with a path crafted for her she felt there was more that her life could offer. This yearning desire grew even more as whispers of arrangements and eventual courtships passed through her home. Her father was always an eager male to create advancement for himself within the noble society.
