Zora

Netune had stopped a dozen or so meters before the forest, peering into its dark silhouettes from a safe distance. High above the trees loomed seeming to go on endlessly in the dark and swaying slightly at the wind’s call. She continued onward with an all-too-familiar eagerness and smile plastered on her face. As she approached, a sudden lull took the young zora woman by surprise as the world around her became silent. It was as if it absorbed all that dared encroach on its domain.
Strange.
But not enough to deter her.
So Netune continued, accompanied only by the sounds of leaves underneath her feet and the ever-nearing cries of insects. It wasn’t until a slight tremor in the ground caught her attention that she ceased her journey. A goron? Rolling all the way over here? Her smile grew wider, mischievous. She quickened her step to one of the nearby trees and hid behind it. Normally gorons weren’t the type Netune would target as they had little to anything for her to steal. Usually wearing nothing more than a loincloth and the rocks at their backs, they were dreadful targets indeed.
Ugh, minimalists. The bane of her existence.
However, as this one came closer a blurry of blue caught her eye. Maybe there was something to get out of this, after all.
“Help!”
She launched herself running from the tree and into the open, falling to her knees to cause a scene. “Help, please,” she took tired breaths. “My sister. We were traveling. And now– something– a monster– the forest– ”
She explained herself frantically, cutting herself off as she spoke over and over again. “I’ve– I’ve never seen anything like it. She could die! Please!”

Goron

Post by Daruhan on Apr 18, 2021 16:19:46 GMT -8
Curiosity and concern filled Daruhan as he rolled his way down the mountain, there had been reports of monster attacks in the area lately, bokoblins and the like, nothing unmanageable, but recently he’d been seeing something…. unusual on the Sheikah slate. It was his duty as champion to investigate. A larger monster stirring could cause a cascade of other problems.
To make his search easier he had moved Rudania lower down the mountain and closer to the forest. This would make it easier for the sentries to report back and, in the event it was needed, provide some cover fire. He sincerely hoped it didn’t come to that though.
There was something moving near the road, a small Zora was approaching him panicked. The concern quickly overtook the curiosity in his mind. Maybe he wouldn’t need to wait for the sentries to report back to narrow things down after all. Rolling his way to his feet, he rushes over towards the distressed Zora, kneeling as he gets close. “There now, don’t fret little buddy. My name is Daruhan and I can help.” A calm, confident, smile spreads across the mighty goron’s wide face as he lowers a massive hand to the young Zora. “Show me which way it went and I’ll show that monster what happens when you mess with the Brothers of the Gorons!”
Hook, line, and sinker.... Who doesnt love an overly trusting hero? Netune

As the near earthquake that was the ground settled and the goron came to his feet, Netune had to hide fight back a smile with a grimace.
Sucker.
She looked up at the goron, her eyes opening in slight surprise as she had forgotten how big the race was up close. Yet, she continued, tears welling in her eyes as she tentatively reached for his hand. Instead, she threw herself at him in a hug. A bad decision, really, as her cheek hit his rocky skin with hardy slap.
“Th-thank you! Thank you so much, mister Durahan!”
She then switched to his arm, holding it like a child would hold a toy after a nightmare. If the goron was attentive enough, he’d notice how she held on firmly – any evidence of a nervous or fearful tremble absent. Yet, she still pointed a shaking finger straight into the woods. “That way. I made sure to run in a straight line like my sister told me to. So as long as we keep going, I think we should reach her...”
“…R-right?” the question was directed at him although her attention was fixated somewhere beyond the forest. She didn’t know where this apparent sister would actually be, but what she did know was that she could feel the blue cloth at her skin.
Just out of arms reach.
All according to plan
