Site Updates! | With the beginning of every new site, there's always bound to be changes made to try and better the site. We, the staff, have been working on putting together some stuff for you guys, which if you were around for, voted on to see which ones you wanted first.
The Dojo is a place for non-combat written characters to have IC development for their combat skills should they choose to learn how to fight and want to develop it. It's also for anybody else who wants IC development of their character learning something new in a safe environment. This also allows us to put another Rupee sink into the site to make sure things stay balanced.
Dungeon Diving Is now a thing brought from us to give you guys a reliable source of getting out there and fighting things. Why? Why not? The advanced dungeons will drop some loot that give bonuses and advantages while the beginner dungeons will always guarantee a monster drop tied to the area it's in by the end of it. Also note that the Beginner dungeons are very short, compared to their longer, advanced companions. We want you guys to feel good earning stronger tools against the villains You may only do a dungeon dive one at a time. You may repeat a dive once every 2 weeks. The advanced dives, if you beat them, you may rechallenge them, but you will not get another loot drop from it. You will develop IC respect among certain NPCs though.
Boss Raids are gonna come along as well. Expect those to start happening as the site grows. "This will be an event that repeats 1 week out of a month in 2-3 locations. We will randomize which monsters appear, or select them depending on seasons and site conditions if needed. Molduga, varying Stone Talus, Lynel, and Hinox are the monsters you'll be seeing. Participation in these events guarantees at least one drop from each monster and a prize from the leader of the local area for dealing with their problem. The site news will updated with small repercussions if these battles go ignored. (temporary terrain damage. Increased monster spawns in that area!) The event's joining period will be 1 week after the threads creation and you may only choose one. It will be announced and pinned, and it will also be announced on the discord with an @everyone tag. After the joining period is over, the thread will be closed to new comers and the fight will begin. Never fear, I will assure that you character does not fight the monster alone should you be the only one to take a thread up. Be sure to use that joining period to prepare your character!" Update!!! : Boss Rushes will now happen every other month with one randomized alpha monster per month! Update again because rawr: Boss Rushes will now occur on mod vote and choice
Combat revamp means that with every good thing comes... some confusing things. Certain factors of combat were determined by rolls, but this is being removed, as I'm gonna trust people to RP fairly. If needed, things such as lightning strikes will be determined by a roll to keep the random factors... well.. random.

Site Updates! | As we develop as a site and continue to grow, changes are sure to come, and they have!
Deku Rewrite Our little friends are getting some new updates to make them more viable! " Deku! Are an incredibly rare race, just coming out of the wood works once again as they show their face. Some thought they were monsters at first, but their adorable faces, ability to speak fluent Hylian and willingness to help quickly earned love from the people of Hyrule. Not much else is known about them though, except that they seem to have an uncanny ability to navigate. Deku can not do as much, combat wise, as the other races, but they are friends with nature. Some, more natural monsters, may avoid fighting them and they have an easier time befriending animals. They also have impeccable tracking skills and can find almost anything in almost any terrain. They do have a special mucus though, that functions as a defense mechanism. Should something hostile get too close, the Deku can hinder their movements with this mucus. They can not handle fire, at all, and are terrified of falling into deep water. Due to this, Fire and Water magics are completely inaccessible to this race. Deku are also natural healers and excel at healing with both magics and their hands. Starting spells are as such: Druid's care: Heals minor damage in all categories Druid's grasp: Twist roots to try and trip and grab pursuing enemies. The same can be done with branches in an attempt to halt aerial foes. "
Combat revamp If you look in our Rules (found Here!) you'll find that in the combat section, some things have been updated to further clarify on certain races that were once obscure. Our spells at the mystic have also surfaced with some more information and updates, such as repercussions for potential overuse of spells. More spells have been added and Master spells have now been updated for the public eye in here!
We also have an activity check happening that spans April! It'll also cover our discord to help me clean out inactive people there. April Activity check! |

Site and System Updates! | April has passed and there was a massive clean up. Now that things have passed along their way though, and we've recovered from the "spring cleaning from hell" session, we've been able to focus down on things and I've popped up a few new things that we could all agree one. The site, for one, is very punishing. I never intended for this. Things just turned out a little more brutal in practice than they did in theory and we've been working on fixing that. We want things that are challenging to be challenging, but we don't want everything to just be hardcore work, 24/7.
First thing first, we've added something like "cantrips" to magic. This is mostly for flavor and for adding continuity to magic practices. This clarifies that there are passive effects to having certain elements and all of these will be accessible for Hylians. In other words, they can stack. So Hylians will also get the full benefits of these things, furthering their effectiveness and making them a little less difficult to use in such a monster filled world, giving them more variability in these dark times.
They've been updated into rules under the combat section, but are as such...
- Fire has a slightly higher body temp and can withstand hot days like its nothing
- Water can hold their breath a little longer and swim a little faster
- Wind users can jump a little higher and are lighter on their feet
- Earth users can punch dents into stone walls and float/fiddle with pebbles
- Light makes you less susceptible to being stunned by bright lights/sudden exposure to light. So walking out of a dark area to a bright and sunny day won't bother them.
- Shadow can see better in the dark than others
TINY UPDATES
- Advertising rules have changed. We now clear out any ads in our First time thread that extend past page 10.
- Yiga Teleportation technique had clarification added to it. Yiga may only teleport into and out of a thread once per thread.
- Stay tuned and patient please. Our Boss Rushes have been put on hold. After the current one finishes, they will be put up for revision by the mod crew.
- Role expansion for certain roles is being considered.
- There have been strange whispers on the wind...
