That horizon's so mystifying in this indescribable breath of the wild The sun was just starting to rise above the horizon as Zaria nudged Scout into a trot alongside the river that cut the Dueling Peaks in half. It was awe-inspiring no matter how many times she had gone through the split, gazing up at the wide gap left behind. Some said it was a dragon that created the split, cleaving the mountain in two for reasons unknown. Perhaps it had been a fit of rage, or simply slicing a path through. Or it could have been the river that carved it. Zaria liked to think it was the dragon carving a path, but it could have been anything. The mystery was part of the adventure, and she welcomed any mysteries she could find.
Seeing tell-tale signs of Lizalfos splashing in the middle of the river (churning water and splashing as they swam back and forth), Zaria clicked her tongue and pulled Scout to the side, closer to the mountain so they might avoid detection. There were plenty of places to run into monsters along the road, and while Scout was becoming more reliable at not panicking, she didn't want to push their luck today. Besides, they had so much to explore! She didn't want it to end so soon after they'd left, with no expectation that they must return anytime soon. This freedom gave her a boost of sudden eagerness, and she spurred Scout onward.
"Come on, Scout, hyah!" She cried, and he responded, his hooves thrumming rhythmically against the hard path as they sailed past the mountains and the river, the sights, smells, and sounds rushed past her ears. Jubilant, she turned Scout toward a hill, weaving through a small forest to the top of the hill, where a massive fallen tree was half-sunk into the ground.
She slowed him as they crested the top, assuaging his whinny and snorts of protests with a few pats on his neck. "Isn't it beautiful, Scout? Just look at that horizon..." She gestured to the sky, growing more blue as the sun rose higher and higher, leaving behind the oranges and yellows of sunrise. "And it's all ours for the taking." She laughed excitedly at the thought, sitting up in her saddle to just appreciate the view for a few minutes.
That is, until she heard a sudden thudding of hooves behind her. She pulled out her bow, using her legs to urge Scout to turn from their hill crest so she could aim properly. A massive boar was thundering toward her, and let out a squeal of rage as it saw her. Was something chasing it? The thought was only a brief one, but she had little time to think about it as she notched an arrow, looking down the shaft to watch its approach. She held Scout with a squeeze of her thighs, then let her arrow fly toward the boar...
| notes & tags Zaria Open to anyone! Perhaps someone else could be hunting it, or could take her kill with another strike, or just come up to help (she may or may not react favorably to that haha). I'll roll with anything, though! Let me know if there's any issues or confusion, I'll be happy to adapt or mix things up to make it easier~ |

Like the stones of Death Mountain I stand strong Honaw was just making his way through the woods, to be fair. Nothing big and bad was happening in his world, he was just making his way into town. Slowly but surely, that is. He had already startled quite a bit of wild life, but he didn't really expect it to come running back to him. As Honaw made his way through a small gap in the trees... obviously big enough for the Goron to fit through of course, a wild boar came crashing into him before crumbling and dying on the spot, an arrow sticking out of it's body. Grimacing, he stepped around the carcass of the animal and spotted the hunter. "Dropped something." He told them before looking back down at the boar, motioning to it. "Nice shot." More than a Goron could accomplish. Those things were way too small for Honaw to wield, that was for sure. He'd just stick to gauntlets and claymores for now. Without much of a word, Honaw lifted the boar and brought it over to the woman, not too dreadfully frightened of the bow, but respectful of it. He blew stuff up for fun, so the feelings of projectiles occasionally smacking into him wasn't foreign. It wasn't like it put him on a death bed, more like... it was uncomfortable when something sharp and pointy came flying at you at a high speed. @zaria sorry it sucks. Gotta get back into the swing of Honaw

That horizon's so mystifying in this indescribable breath of the wild Zaria had to admit she was surprised by the sight of a Goron. Not only because he was just a large individual, but also that she didn't expect to see one this far from Death Mountain. She hadn't traveled too far from Hatneo until recently herself, to be fair. She put the bow away by slinging it over her back, and dismounted from Scout, who sniffed at the Goron and the boar she had slain curiously. It was funny what spooked the horse and what didn't, but she was still figuring that out with time. She was glad she didn't have to add 'Gorons' to the list of things to be nervous around while she was riding.
"Thanks! Wow, this is a lot more than I expected. I'll have to cook it up." She considered the animal for a moment. "Would you like to share? Or um, do you not eat meat?" As soon as the words left her mouth, Zaria felt like she remembered that Gorons didn't eat 'normal', er, Hylian food. But she thought it was at least worth sharing. And besides, he seemed like a nice guy. She'd be curious to talk to him more. She remembered seeing pictures and reading about Gorons' friendliness and strength. As it was her first time meeting one, she couldn't help but feel a little awestruck. And this was just the first of many new experiences she was having just by leaving her home turf.

Like the stones of Death Mountain I stand strong Honaw looked towards the horse next to him and gave it a small smile, holding his hand out, palm up, for the horse to continue sniffing at if it wanted to. He had been around plenty of them, Hylian merchants using them to pull carts to pick up various ore and what not. He raised an eyebrow at her offer and gave her a light shrug. "I've already ate today, and we don't eat meat on top of it. Thanks for the offer though.... uh." He didn't have her name, so he simply drew a blank, his face betraying his confusion. Oh well! "If you want, I could help you butcher it? We don't eat the meat, but I have learned how to do this. Once had a human raised among us and well, you guys can't eat rocks." State the obvious much? Making another face, he gave the horse a small glance before looking back at the human. She was young and adventuring these lands alone, which was kind of worrying, but if she was in one piece, then it couldn't have been too bad for her. "That is, if you don't mind the help." He didn't want to be too intrusive, quite a few people liked their space, and she could just be playing nice because that's how she was raised. If he was making anybody uncomfortable, it'd feel wrong to him to stick around. @zaria Ya know, I love our discord side bar, but i may move it to the left >:c Maybe MADE BY VEL OF GS
