[attr="class","ohlove"] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Really, he'd learned that traveling Hyrule was far more enjoyable when you had someone to share the journey with, rather than having to go it alone. Alone, you went in silence or you just mumbled to yourself. You always kept one eye open and could never really sleep all that well until you got to an inn. You didn't want to risk a campfire because you never really knew what it would draw. You weren't really sure if you were setting up camp waiting to be ambushed and you always slept with your weapons unsheathed and ready to go at a moment's notice. It was a stressful existence, even if it brought some sense of excitement.
With Crystal along it... well mostly it was the same. You still wondered, you still kept your weapons nearby, and you still weren't sure whether a campfire was a good idea. But no longer did he just move along in silence, he had someone he could talk with the entire time. He slept more soundly, because he knew that if something was coming, that he'd simply be woken up and it was time to go. Ambushes weren't as dreaded because now you had someone there who most definitely had your back. He should have gotten someone ages ago. Even if he did have to buy her chicken soup and help her out as promised, it was so totally worth it.
And here was part of that helping. They'd spent a couple days together, making it back to Hyrule Village. It was the closest thing this place had to a capital and it was his hometown. It was morning, just before noon, and people were running around the village while others sold their wares. "So, first order of business is to find you a bow. After that, we stock up on supplies, medical items and all that." He remarked as he had pulled out a list he had scribbled down on. There was a checklist they had to hit but there was no rule saying they couldn't enjoy themselves doing it. "After that, we've got some time to kill, we can always figure out something. Maybe buy some pointless crap, go to one of the plays, we can figure it out when we get there." Hyrule Village always had something to offer. Sheikah

Post by Crystal Genjaro on Nov 12, 2017 0:18:12 GMT -8
| I'm tired of the way you look at me | Crystal was never one to travel in a group. Her sheikah training made sure that she was constantly on her toes and aware of her surroundings. Their heightened senses made up for quite a few racial short comings that they refused to admit to. They could flip, jump, run faster than most and seemingly teleport to most, but they weren't the greatest at taking physical damage. In fact, they were entirely based on the base laws that assassins lived by. Don't get caught. But here she was, uncharacteristically traveling with someone directly. Hell, she hardly bothered to group up with Chris or Leon to travel, but here she was, practically being forced into finding a bow. She had explained that her primary weapon choice was short sword, so that's where her training focus was. She only knew the basics of archery and that was as far as her knowledge on that extended to. Her range was kunai only, simply because of how compact and easy to carry they were. Her short sword already took up too much space outside of her physical form. It was something else she had to focus on making noise, bumping into things or getting snagged on a bush or something. "Sounds good to me. Guess we should start with the fellas at the forge." They were usually the most reliable source to get a weapon in this town. They were actually the only forge in the town. The town was but a shadow of it's former self, not that they would know, so that was all they had to work with. "I was thinking I'd hunt for signs of other Sheikah after this. I still haven't seen anything and it's kinda important to report to them the Queen Gohma's behavior. Probably split up for a bit after this while I look around. Meet up at the tavern maybe. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it."Alexander Elessar | when you think I'm not watching |

[attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: Crystal Genjaro ✉ notes: gohma is apparently concerning both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Really? Their little mission was enough that the Sheikah had to be notified of it? Alex gave her a skeptical look. That seemed like small time. "The Gohma queen? I'm guessing her running out the skulltulas?" It was literally the only thing that he could think of. It was a Gohma queen. It was taken care of. Was there any really further problem with it? Still, "That was strange, yeah." Maybe. Maybe it was all just nature starting to do its thing. The stronger creatures were beginning to prey on the weaker ones or something? Nature could be a serious bitch sometimes.
But then that left him with nothing to do. Well, if he had nothing to do then he could shift to look for something more productive. He nodded, agreeing to split up for the moment before regrouping at the tavern. "In that case, while you're making your report, I'll look for some more work." He had to eat, after all. Or was it that they had to eat? Interesting. Still, if he could find another job for the two of them by the time she got back, it might be something well appreciated. Maybe they could find something that wouldn't involve trudging through a storm and dealing with spiders. Maybe something a bit more relaxing, or maybe something completely without fighting! That would be nice.
Still, the forge sounded good, so he nodded before walking into the markets, ignoring everyone hawking their wares. It wouldn't be too long before they'd come to the forge, packed with every possible weapon that one could imagine. Swords, spears, maces, bows, javelins, whatever one desired. He looked around, wondering if any of the bows would be a good fit. Then again, she knew her body best. "Anything you like?" He remarked. Yes, kunai were nice, but they just didn't have the punching power that a bow did, and one would have been very handy back with Gohma, certainly. | I'm tired of the way you look at me | "Well, the biggest problem is not many of those queens are seen. And the Sheikah have been obsessed with tracking things since the calamity two hundred years ago." She mentioned, moving along the road carefully, watching as a cat dashed up to her, quickly skidding and running in the other direction, carrying a fish in it's mouth and being pursued by... an angry woman with a broom. Welp. That just happened. Looking back to Alex, she offered a shrug before they came to the forge. She paid absolutely no mind to anybody else there, as usual. Truth be told, if she really wanted something, the best place for her to get it would be Kakariko village. But the forge would do. Looking down at the bows, she kept her eyes on them before raising an eyebrow at a simple, plain bow. She wasn't looking for anything flashy or hard to up keep. She'd probably hardly use it, so she didn't want something too ridiculous. Simple was the best route, besides, she wasn't good enough for the fancier bows. "I think I'll just stick with a basic bow." She shrugged, walking over to talk to the Rito fiddling with a bow. She almost had to hop up onto the counter to communicate with him better, this Rito was... taller than most. She continued speaking with falcon for a moment, both shrugged, falcon even giving her a small smirk before she leaned back and waved Alex over. Alexander Elessar | when you think I'm not watching |

[attr="class","ohlove"] both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. The more he looked, the more he really wanted to get something. Maybe one of those royal weapons he had heard so much about. Right, like he could afford any of that shit, not on his current salary anyway. Even then, did that make sense? He was a monster hunter, worked in the service sector. Maybe find a nice place with some cows, farm their hides. Or maybe go pearl hunting? Really, just minor things like that as a way to make money. Alex found himself lost in thought over options before Crystal finally snapped him back.
Really, her picking the basic bow just made way too much sense. "Sounds good. We're just after something that can punch." She was a Sheikah, they didn't exactly do things the fancy or flashy way... usually. What she did back with the Gohma was pretty neat. They could figure out actual arrows later. He figured though that bodkin might be the best fit for her, considering those kunai could fulfill the role of a broadhead pretty well. While she went to talk with the owner, presumably over price he figured, he continued to browse their wares. Man, they had some pretty great stuff. Maybe once he was able to afford the more expensive stuff he should consider upgrading his gear? Just a thought.
When next he looked over at the two, he had noticed that, most of all, the Rito was smirking. Namely, the Rito was smirking at Crystal while she was waving him on over. Oh boy, what had happened while she was talking to him? Actually, now that he thought about it, it was probably just something about payment. Nothing too major, what was the worst that it could be, right? Still, coming out here to get her a bow, well, it was his idea, fair enough that he'd be taking care of it, he figured. Quirking a brow, he stepped up and moved on over to the counter where... wow, this Rito was actually really tall weren't they? Giving them a nod, he looked over at Crystal. "Guessing you got this worked out then?" All that was left was to pay, maybe. [newclass=.ohlove]width:480px;padding:15px;border:1px solid #d4d4d4;background: #a24747; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(90deg, #a24747 0%, #a57e7e 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-85 deg, #a24747 0%, #a57e7e 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(-275deg, #a24747 0%, #a57e7e 100%)[/newclass][googlefont=Oswald][googlefont=Roboto][newclass=.lacking]width: 420px; height: 0px; background-color: rgba(40,40,40,0.4); overflow: hidden; -moz-transition: 3s all; -webkit-transition: 3s all; -o-transition: 3s all; transition: 1s all; [/newclass][newclass=.ohlove:hover .lacking]width: 400px; height: 180px; padding: 10px;[/newclass][newclass=.ohlove:hover .eyes]transition:1s;margin-top:0px;[/newclass][newclass=.eyes]background-color:#1f1f1f;opacity:.8;font-family:calibri; font-size: 9px; text-transform: uppercase;color:#ffffff;padding:20px;margin-top:400px;width:360px; height: 140px; transition:1.5s; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify;[/newclass]

| I'm tired of the way you look at me | She had a broad grin on her face as Alex walked over, the Rito crossing his arms as he maintained his smirk. "Yea, we worked it out, it was a little hawkward at first, but he was able to settle a price we could both swallow." It was hard, ever so hard for the two of them to maintain a semi straight face as they just watched Alex for a reaction. Things like this usually got a pretty good sized rise outta someone. Without looking away, she reached back and pulled out the exact amount of rupees for a simple bow and laid them between her and the bird, the bird taking this moment to count the rupees and walk away to retrieve a bow that'd fit her short stature. Most Sheikah were a respectable height, then there was Crystal. She just relaxed against the counter as the Rito came out with a bow and started stringing it for her, prepping to take it out back and see how it fit her. It was the 'shortest' long bow they had, so it'd have to work. If anything, Crystal was adaptable. Alexander ElessarOh nothing, just flocking around. | when you think I'm not watching |

[attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: Crystal Genjaro ✉ notes: what are they planning both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Most people would have been outraged, or perhaps even groaned at the puns. Not Alex, nosiree, this was a game he actually enjoyed playing. His brows raised as he looked at her and then looked at the Rito. So this was what they were talking about then? Trying to get him all flustered over puns? He looked at Crystal, and his eyes narrowed silently. Perhaps in a way, she had gotten the reaction that she so desired. But it was also more likely that she had just started something that wasn't going to be stopping anytime soon. Really, he actually enjoyed having her around, she should have seen this coming!
Alex sighed. "Are you having a geagle?" He said, placing his hands on his hips before motioning at the bow the Rito was fixing up. "Owl I wanted to do was get you a bow, but toucan play at this game." Man, now that he got a good look at her, she was super short for a Sheikah. Like a tiny ball of fun. "You'll egret starting this before it's over." And he would make sure they got progressively shittier as they went along. Really, half the fun of puns was that they fucking sucked and were stretched out or something. It was supposed to be shit.
Still though, a longbow? That was surprising. So, joining Crystal, leaning against the counter, he looked at the Rito. "Without feather ado, how's it look?" He wasn't going to let this go. Crystal had gone and opened up a pandora's box of shit. | I'm tired of the way you look at me | Crystal dropped her head on the counter and started laughing, snorting a little as she fought an absolute outburst of ridiculously obnoxious laughter. "You're swift with your puns, but you gotta watch your quality." She stated, drawing back the bow string and nodding, it was a good enough fit for her, so it'd do. "You know, puns like those would be party fowls. They're way too obvious." She huffed, hopping down from her near climbing position on top of the counter. She knew they were supposed to be bad on purpose, but she could use it as fuel to fight back. "Well, while we're railing each other here, I'm dying of thirst." She rubbed her throat for a bit and started stepping out of the crowded merchant's corner of the town. "Unless you need something else while we're here?" She asked, looking over her shoulder. [attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: Crystal Genjaro ✉ notes: HAAAAAAAAA HA HA HA HAAAA both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. He gave her a look of mock-insult, bringing a hand to his chest at her accusations that his puns were poor. Really, the gall of it all! Oh, his puns were lacking in quality were they? Was that what she came up with? Well he could just go with that one, make them progressively shittier, and also start getting at her in his own way. "Quaility." He corrected, yes, corrected a missed opportunity for a pun. "Maybe I should take you under my wing." Teach her the ways of shitty jokes. Really, who in their right mind would pass up that opportunity?
Satisfied with his work, he raised one hand as if conceding a point. He would cease and desist with the puns. Well, he would soon be ceasing and desisting anyway. "But I suppose you're right. To continue would be a cardinal sin." At least not before firing off one last one. Really, he could keep this going all day. But hey, it was points in Crystal's favor! Not many people actually enjoyed talking shit with really shitty puns. It was nice to have someone that could do that.
Still, thirsty? Alex crossed his arms with a grin then. If she was talking about that, then he doubted that it was merely water that he was after. "Want me to make you a Yellow Bird cocktail?" Okay, maybe he wasn't completely done yet. He would be. Soon. For real though. He started to lead the way. He figured that maybe then she felt like making the report later, she seemed to be enjoying herself anyway. | I'm tired of the way you look at me | Crystal dead panned and let out a snort at the very last pun, one eyebrow cocked at him, silently asking if he was done yet. "You keep saying it, yet ya keep going." She shook her head and stepped out of the market corner, silently relieved that they were done with that crowded area. She didn't like it, couple her height and her overall general hatred for feeling crowded and you had a nasty recipe for a salty Crystal. Putting her newly acquired bow onto her back, she took a deep breath of air and motioned to the open town. "Never thought I'd say that I missed you, town." She looked over at Alex with a small grin and shrugged. "I have to argue with the bar tenders around here to give me anything other than juice and water. So I think I'll settle with water." She admitted, moving forward with it. You figured someone with fitted Sheikah armor, a weapon and frequent small wounds as they enter the taverns, proving their fights, they'd be all 'oh hey you look tired drink this' but nooooo. Whatever. She didn't want their stupid drinks anyways. It usually took her friends to convince them to let her get drinks around this town. This is why she preferred the smaller towns, to be honest, like Lurelin or Kakariko. In Kakariko though, they could talk her down from doing a backflip off the top of a water fall. Or convince her not to attack the local cattle. Alexander Elessarsorry it took so long ;-; | when you think I'm not watching |
