Sometimes, Irok would take to the sky only to breathe. It helped him get in the zone for whatever task he was taking, and helped him zero out. He wasn't quite the one for meditation and other such things, but he could appreciate the concept of getting up and away, escaping into the sky. This was what he had been doing before his partner arrived.
The mission didn't look overtly complicated. There was a tough pack of monsters, with a leader wearing an unusual pelt that they were tasked to bring back for their pay. He hadn't really asked for a partner, but when he'd seen the name, he had to admit he felt just a twinge of curiosity. The boy who lived among Rito - did he really think he could keep up? Even if he was raised half-Rito, he didn't have wings. And Hylians were slower than Irok liked, from his experience. He'd have to see if he could keep up. He wasn't in the mood to wait.
He flew down, hovering a few feet above the ground where he could see the white haired man. "So. Looks like we're together on this." He commented dryly. "Try not to slow me down, would you?"

Time to spread my wings Zeke had been waltzing up to the agreed meeting place, eyes immediately fixating on a figure in the sky as soon as he became visible to him and yup, it was him. Irok, he thinks, one of the warriors raised up in the Rito Village. He would say 'alongside' him, but the difference was that Zeke was stuck to the ground, and admittedly, he was jealous. From a young age, ever since he was rescued from the snow and ice, he'd wanted nothing but to fly. And warm up of course. The closest thing he ever got to his wish was a climbing skill hammered into his brain.
If he wanted to shoot targets with the rest of the Rito, he had to learn how to keep up as well as he could, which meant instead of going around obstacles, he learned to go over them. "Looks like it." he returned to him with a nonchalant comment, brushing the dry and almost sour comment. Well, it felt sour to him, but could he blame him? Zeke wasn't anything compared to the Rito unless he was riding on his 'dad's' back, and even then he wasn't up for long, his dad didn't like having a human boy that high. Even if he was confident he could catch Zeke if he fell.
"I'll just grow a pair of wings, finally, and fly behind you, don't worry." To be honest, he would much prefer to be alone on this as well. His solitary nature stacked on top of his jealously of being unable to fly made this suck almost as much as having to get out of bed. "Lead the way, feather butt." He snorted out, pulling his hands free of his pockets, crossing his arms and keeping his eyes on the hovering bird, a small, lazy smirk staying on his features. @irok //we can approach and do some stuff inbetween, just drop it into mod summons whenever you want our monsters spawned in.

He smirked at his response, and turned toward the supposed location of the camp as Zeke requested he lead the way. "I'd pay to see that. But, since you can't... Come on, bare butt. Keep up if you can." Without taking any real concern for the speed at which his human companion would be able to follow, he pushed himself into the air with a strong downstroke of his wings, soaring up and heading deeper into the Scablands.
He kept his eyes sharp for any signs of the camp below. He could see poorly hidden kills, bones and feathers and various carcass bits scattered about. Must be getting close, he thought, gazing around. A plume of smoke caught his eye next, just to the left. "There we go. Ready to dance?" Irok glanced back toward Zeke, finally ready to slow down if his little human legs needed more time. He wasn't going in entirely alone this time.
Ezekiel Griswold // Thanks for your patience! I figure we'll bring in the monsters soon, unless you want to have Zeke stop him so they can plan or such? LAIKA OF GS!

Time to spread my wings Well, he asked for it, so here they go. The scablands were a shattered domain, years of constant thunderstorms, violent lightning strikes, cutting winds and some man-made changes made sure that the lands were uneven and rough. Luckily for Zeke, the rocks were dotted with places were grip could be found while he ran up to a wall and jumped onto it, fingers tightening and working to help pull him up the rock facing until he was on top and able to sprint a long the ground, following where the aerial vantage point went.
It's amazing what a life time of trying to keep up could accomplish for your physical fitness, even for someone as lazy as he was. His little human legs pushed him as hard as they could, and thankfully, he wasn't lagging behind as badly as he though he would. Taking a deep, calming breath, the mixed man looked out to where the smoke was billowing and furrowed his brows. "Well. I'll need to think of my own game plan. You've got the sky so there's that." He admitted, eyes still taking in what he could.
He grew up in Tabantha though, he was raised to deal with the uneven and broken terrain. It's just that, well, he couldn't fly, and if any of these monsters had bows, that'd be a pain in Zeke's ass considering the condition of the old bow he was using. The poor thing was way past it's prime, that was for sure. "This is our turf though, well, yours, I was just raised in it. I'll just do my own, sneaky thing, and make sure to keep the sky view of me visible. Unless that is, a proud Rito like you wants to creep on the ground with scum like me" He joked on the last bit, giving Irok a smug grin, both of his eyebrows raised up.
@irok // Yea! You can post and drop it in mod summons, or we can drop it there now!
