Fire Refines while The hammer molds Fate TAG. @xxx MUSE. xxx NOTES. xxx |
Sunny days with a winter chill were a reminder that spring would come and carry along with it a season of hope and rebirth. Which was something the occupants of Hyrule would need as more and more frequently monsters being bolder and aggressive.
Speaking of monsters thats why Bron found himself out in the woods of central Hyrule. He was paroling the woods near some of the farmers to ensure that it was clear of the unwanted vermin.
After a while of tromppin' around in the snow and mud, the tall ginger man would heft his large hammer to the ground and take up a seat on the stump. He would sit in the silence listening and watching for any signs of life that would be out of the ordinary.

Today was a good day, Damion had managed to catch a small, red, and incredibly stupid bokoblin. It practically threw itself at him. Although he must confess he was let down it didn’t put up more of a fight. He was on his way back towards his campsite after cleaning the thing. There was nothing valuable on it besides its meat. Dragging the bokoblin along behind him by the ankle, his ax resting on his shoulder, he started humming a happy tune to himself. The gentle winter’s breeze making the fur on his jacket dance as he hummed. He didn’t feel like anything could go wrong today. His tune made an abrupt stop as he entered a small clearing where he immediately noticed a man sitting on a stump, a large hammer next to him. He’d gotten too relaxed and didn’t think about the fact he was close to a town today. Dropping the bokoblin behind him, Damion secures his grip on his axe, eyes springing to life in a lavender light as he stares the man down. “What are you doing here? All kinds of monsters in these woods.”

Bron sat up straighter at the appearance of the newcomer; instinctually puffing his chest out to appear more imposing. He took note of the bokoblin being drug by the large…man? Maybe he was a warlock, he had an uncomfortable presence about him; what with his glowing eyes that was quite unnatural for the average Hylian male.
“I patrol these woods,” Bron said wrapping his right about the grip of his hammer noticing the man’s grip tighten on his own ax “te keep ‘em clear of the beasts.”
Bron stayed seated for the time being as he eyed the man warily. At the very least there was enough ground that if Bron did have to attack he had sufficient time to grab her hammer in an upward swing.
“Coul’ be askin’ you the same thing, ain’t seen ya ‘round these parts ‘afore.”

Damion laughed internally as hylian instinctively puffed himself up at his approach. It was a precious thing when they tried to look bigger than they were. “You patrol? Sitting on a stump?” Damion pulls his axe out, setting the head on the ground and leaning on it. “How does that work? You set traps?” The hylian looked like he was a good laborer, he was strong of build, but he didn’t have the look of a killer. Damion could tell he was not a predator like he was. This stranger reminded him of himself when he was a bit younger… ant it pissed him off. Damion raises his brow at being asked why he is here, “I am hunting as well. I hunt monsters and other game. You have not seen me because I stay hidden. I live in these woods.” If Damion cared at all about manners he would be offended, you don’t barge into people’s houses and demand why they are there.

Bron disregarded the intruder’s slights, finding them inflammatory rather than pacifying. Bron didn’t particularly want to get into a conflict with this man; not out of fear though. Bron wasn’t afraid even if this man did reek of peculiarity and stretched truths.
Bron knew these woods intricately, there were villagers who lived on the outskirts of the trees and this was common hunting ground. Not once in his years here had he seen or heard tale of a man that took on the resemblance of the one before him. But he hunted monsters and there had been fewer sightings and skirmishes lately. Sizing the man up he determined that if what this man said was true and could be trusted, unlikely, then Bron had at least make an allowance for the oddity.
There had been no reports of missing Hylian’s or other races in these woods either so…based on the evidence at least whoever this was, was not entirely a foe.
“Oi nu de villagers tanks for yisser efforts then…no wan ken be too prepared for de worst dees day’s.”
Bron released his hammer as he spoke resting his hands on his knees. If this man was going to make these woods a frequent location of his it would be best to be on amiable terms so long as no harm came to any of the villagers or their livelihood.
