| I'm tired of the way you look at me | Fishing. She's having a blast fishing. Sitting along the flowing waters at the bottom of Zora's Domain, Crystal sat cross-legged on the stone, line dipped in the water, pole in hand and a water skin in the other. She really wasn't catching to keep, she was just catching because she could, then throwing the fish back. Catch and release, y know? Silently, she pulled in another fish, tossing him back, rebaiting her line, recasting it immediately after.
Humming softly to herself, she slowly degraded into muttering a quiet, traditional Sheikah song. Her boots scuffed quietly as she shuffled into a new position to fish in. It was quiet, gloriously quiet. Sometimes, Crystal wanted to enjoy the more quiet things in life, and fishing was on of those. The sounds of the water drowned out the noises of Zora's domain above, so that became a win/win situation in an instant.
The only bad thing was that it could be easy to lose yourself to thought down here. Something in her had always wanted to stay ever vigilant, and that vigilance had run in their family with an amazing prevalence. Rather than complain though, they embraced it and honed it. Even with the lure in the flowing water, the noise of the river around her and the silent threats from her mind to drag her off into la-la land, she stayed focused on her surroundings, an ear always open.

◣◆◢ | Niul had arrived to Zora's Domain a couple of days ago to do a job, though he had dealt with it yesterday and even got his payment already. So, instead of leaving immediately after a job well done, the adventurer felt like staying around for a bit, have fun with some in more ways than one and such.
And this brings us to Niul swimming around the waters at the bottom of Zora's domain. He just felt like taking a dip and maybe even catch some fish to save a bit of Rupees on food, so he had left his things in the inn, wearing only some dark blue, skin-tight swimwear, fitting his hair color, revealing his body honed and scarred by 12 years of adventuring.
Going around underwater, following the current, Niul looked around and actually came across a good sized trout in some distance. Locking his eyes onto it, he began approaching the fish, swimming across the water in a manner that would be impressive for any Hylian. Catching up to trout quite soon, and wonderfully not having scared it off, the adventurer slowly and calmly moved his hands around the thing, immediately taking a hold of it as soon as he got a chance. The fish began struggling, trying to slip out of Niul's grip of it, but he didn't let go and began holding onto the fish tighter.
Happy that he had caught today's dinner already, the Hylian man didn't pay attention to his surroundings underwater, and suddenly he felt something slip in his mouth, which then hooked into the inside of his cheek. Feeling the lightest taste of blood despite the water, Niul didn't have long to respond before the thing stuck to his cheek began pulling onto him and in pain and surprise he let go of the fish and resurfaced. "Ahh fuch! Hat hings!" He yelled out more in annoyance and surprise, as he had gotten more than accustomed to pain in his adventuring days. Keeping himself on surface, Niul noticed the string that was leading to his mouth and everything made since. He was caught in a fishing hook.
Following the string to the other end while putting two of his fingers inside his mouth to take the hook off, the Hylian man's gaze ended up on a woman. A rather beautiful one at that.
Getting the hook finally undone from his cheek, Niul presented it to the beauty, as he spat out some of the blood in his mouth, with that taste of metallic stuck there. "Sorry. No fish this time," he laughed, giving off a rather cheery smile, which soon changed into a comically confident one, with a glint on the edge of his eye. "Buy hey, at least you reeled in a hunk," he added jokingly. At this kind of situation he really didn't know exactly how to approach, so he decided to settle with trying to get a laugh out of the person who had caught him. |

| I'm tired of the way you look at me | Crystal was just about to try moving to a new spot when all of a sudden her line got heavy. Grimacing, she thought that this one was going to break her pole but ... no. Slack came to her line and up popped a... Hylian. "A... uh. Hylian. A very confused Hylian." She commented, cracking on the fact that of all the races she COULD hook in the river, she hooked a Hylian rather than a Zora.
She deadpanned at the hunk comment and couldn't really find anything sarcastic enough to punch back at him with. "Hunk. Right. More like trout." She finally came up with, the Sheikah's red eyes watching him closely as she scooted to the side some to allow the man some room to get out of the water. "What are you doing swimming in a river? The water is swift and it's dangerous." Yes, she could clearly see that he wasn't drowning, or showing signs of drowning, but she'd thought she could at least ask.
In fact, Crystal was simply going to climb her way back up, rather than screw around with crossing the river. She could swim, yea, but it'd just be easier for her to climb up the pillars. Idly, she fixed her hook and would toss it back out into the river, farther this time, and return to her normal, cross legged position. Maybe this time she'd get a fish.

◣◆◢ | A tad disappointed by poor reception of his attempt at humor, Niul pouted like a child for a bit, as the beauty remained silent. However, once the woman seemingly had come up with words to respond with, he only laughed heartily, glad that he was able to get at least something else than silence.
Noticing her make some room for him to get out of the water, Niul figured that he might as well go with it and began swimming up closer, gettinh up on dry land quite swiftly. "Just felt like taking a quick dip," he nonchalantly replied to the woman's question, and sat down legs crossed, only about a meter between the two. "And I'm a pretty great swimmer, so I can handle this much." If not, he would've have died about 7 years ago during a raging storm, after all. He really did have to thank his uncle for toughening up in so many ways, including tossing him to swim in raging waters. Thinking of this caused the adventuer to remember some of the rougher memories of his life with his uncle, the expression for a second on Niul seemed stressed, though it faded away as quickly as it had appeared.
Watching the beauty toss her line back into the water, the idea of getting his own fishing pole popped into the adventurer's head. It was not as testing as catching them barehanded, but the typical way sure had its own magic to it. Well, maybe later he'd do something with that idea, but for now he figured that he might as well take a short break.
"No luck today? Or are you fishing just for fun?" Niul had taken note of the lack of caught fishes, so he thought to ask about it for the sake of making some small talk. |

| I'm tired of the way you look at me | "Well at least you're good at swimming. I'm pretty sure I'm not wanting to reel in any corpses." She jerked the pole a few times with a flick of her wrist, watching the line twitch as a fish seemed to contemplate biting the bait that was on the line. "Come on already, stupid fish." She huffed out, one hand resting in her lap while the other held the pole with a trained grip.
"I'm just fishing for fun. Nothing to do today, at least that I want to do." The Sheikah commented. She could be picky on occasion about which job she took, the Sheikah race's talents were sought out more often than not when it came to a large variety of things. Crystal's personal favorites were tracking down human thieves. Bandits. She'd take what was stolen before they found her, if possible. And more often than not, she'd taunt them for fun, giving them a pretty good chase before disappearing.
Musing at people's baffled expressions as she sat somewhere safe was actually one of her favorite ways of calming down after a good rush. The joys of playing tricks on people, creating illusions, were one of the many joys about being a Sheikah born in their natural element, Shadow. "So what made you want to bite my hook? Got a problem with shiny objects?"
