For as long as anyone in Hyrule can remember, on this specific day, the heavens seem to open up their doors for the people on the land below to see. It was considered a gift from the Goddess Hylia by some while others grew curious as to why this happened on the same exact day, every year, without fail. But both opinions and all in between set aside their conversations and arguments on this phenomena just so they can simply sit back and enjoy the happenings of the wide open sky above.
Right now, even with the sun at it's highest point, moving towards it's resting point ever so slowly, the sky seems a little brighter than usual. The Summer season is slowly coming to an end, and it can be felt as the clouds carry in a cool breeze from the south. Vendors have their stalls up and ready, and sit at them with light jackets on and an even lighter smile on their faces as they converse with the festival crew. The festival crew works dutifully to finish setting up everything before night falls on the land.
Should you come here early, you have plenty of time to sit back and relax before the real crowd shows up. Hyrule Village is always busy, it seems like, but even the merchants that frequent these streets have slowed down for the day, and are respectfully staying out of the way of the festival crew.
All the faces are happy, warm and welcoming and they're more than glad to welcome you, even if it be early, to the Celestial Rainfall Festival!
Posting order is not strict and is only kept between those RPing with each other. Current Time 5:00 PM Windy weather, slight chill to the air and bright blue skies above. I will be posting as a DM frequently as the Festival progresses! This event will be open till the end of September OOCly (Due to natural disasters and school, the thread will run on it's own time as people get a chance to post.), but will be time locked ICly as the first day of September. | I'm tired of the way you look at me | Crystal really wasn't a regular for these kinds of events, but if there was one reason she would show up to them, it'd be to make her brother happy. Chris always had some sort of problem with how little his sister wanted to have to do with things like these. And he noticed how it got worse the more their parents pulled them along to celebrate these kinds of things.
She wasn't angry though, to be honest, she was actually fascinated by the stars, and would be more than happy to be able to sit back and enjoy them, as well as catch some intellectual gossip people had between each other for theories for why the sky seemed to open up and rain brilliant streaks across the sky. She stood by the stables, arms folded over one another as she talked calmly to the stable hand, giving them a bit of company while they worked on everyone's horse.
One brown horse, with a white streak on it's face, took to nuzzling through Crystal's hair, playing in it on occasion until she put a hand on it's face to remove it from her hair before the poor thing wound up with a bunch of it in his nose. He was apparently still a wild horse, not quite ready to be sold, but she didn't mind. As long as it wasn't a cow. She listened to the stable hand talk about how ridiculously busy it got at this time of year, and actually conned the Sheikah into helping out around the stables a bit. Simple work such as making sure the water stayed filled and helping her toss hay over the gates of the stables.
It was something to pass the time at least. And luckily, no one she knew had blown by to bother the hell outta her while she did her volunteer work.

Ri reached the village of Hyrule with a weary trudge. He had just walked for several days trying to reach the new bustling city, and his feet ached from the thought of more walking. Once he found an empty spot on the wall of a local building he relaxed against it, using the support to get his feet under him. A slight smile curved his lips as he realized he finally made it to the center of the kingdom. And it only took me a week. Might not have been the fastest, but it was pretty quick considering the distance to Hateno Village.
With a mental shake to clear his head Ri looked out over the square he ended up at. His eyes trailed to a stable nearby that seemed to have some horses. A horse would definitely make his journey easier, and he’d be able to carry more merchandise to trade. A slight smile came to his lips at the thought, but then a cold hard fact hit him to drive the smile to a grimace. The horses in his hometown weren’t cheap, and he feared how much one here would cost. Pushing off he headed for the stable anyways. It wouldn’t hurt to look.

| I'm tired of the way you look at me | Crystal would snort occasionally with laughter as her and the stable hand would tell each other jokes, finding a bench to take a seat at for a break, grabbing a small drink of water and a bite to eat. When the stable hand walked off to go retrieve their bags from inside the main building across the way, she waved her off and went back to drinking from her canteen, stopping when she saw someone approaching the stables.
The Sheikah deadpanned for a moment before remembering that she might look like an actual employee. Rather than annoy a potential customer, she just mellowed her expression back out and went to what she was doing, only acknowledging the Hylian male with a nod. The horses around her made various noises at the approach of a stranger, but most were friendly, the more wild horses opted to stay quiet and just watch from their own pens, eyes locked onto the male. After a moment, she looked back at him and lifted her eyebrows.
"I don't work here, but I know these horses enough to tell you which ones will kick ya more than the others. The lady that actually works here should be back soon." She informed the boy, tucking her canteen back to her hip, resting her elbow on her knee and her head on her fist, the festival workers moving around diligently to get their job done as time moved on with no restraint or patience.

Ah, the Celestial Rainfall Festival. Leon had only gotten back to Hyrule Village earlier this morning after having made a venture all the way back to Kakariko Village to pick up two very special items he'd special ordered from the tailor in town. A gorgeous white, pink, and purple Kimono for Crystal, with floral designs on it, and a blue and purple Yukata for himself. They matched together really well, and he knew the kimono would fit Crystal perfectly (after all, he'd been with her so long he knew her measurements just from all the times he'd checked her out.). Though when he didn't find Crystal at any of their usual spots... he had asked around, and heard a "small grumpy blonde girl" had made her way to the stables.
That sounded like Crystal, for sure.
So, naturally, Leon had made his way to the stables with the clothes in a backpack, looking around until he spotted her. She was dressed in an outfit that looked like something a stablehand would wear -- complete with the dirty look that came with the job. Leon chuckled a little bit as he approached, wearing his normal black clothing with an open jacket. "Yo', Crystal." Leon would speak, raising his right hand to wave at her. "I'm back from home. How 'ya been? I got somethin' for 'ya too." He hoped that'd get her attention to at least walk over and greet him, probably by punching his arm real hard and complaining that he was gone too long. After all, who would she exchange witty banter with without him?

| I'm tired of the way you look at me | Crystal shifted where she was sitting, her head turning to face the other new comer, her sort of bland expression quickly turning into a faux sour resemblance. "Oh, look what we have here." she snerked sitting upright, dropping her elbows onto her knees without paying any mind to the dirt. She never had a problem keeping up with the boy's games back home, her mother always flipped thirty different lids on her when both her and her brother would return home covered in dirt.
So dirty Crystal was actually fairly common.
"I've been pretty good. How's home holdin up?" She asked, eyebrows knitting together as she watched his approach. Sitting up, she scooched back on her seat a little, giving the man across from her a wary glance. "It better not be a skunk." She grumbled, eyes locked onto him, body tensed and ready to run.

As the workers begin to finish their set ups and stalls begin to open up, the town comes to life. And along with the town, as does the skies. the sun is now almost set on the horizon, and the brightest of the stars have become visible, while a slightly larger than usual moon rises on the opposite horizon of it's cousin.
carry on with your stuff Just scooting the plot along to get to what the event is really about. I'll update it again later Remember that it'll be lasting longer than it's previous date due to all the natural disasters There'll be a special reward for participating characters in these threads. Sort of like a celebration for the site's first event.

EVEN IF WE CAN'T FIND HEAVEN I'll walk through hell with you. Aisha stepped down from a stage after finishing her performance as the rays of what sun was left lit up her face. "Boy, it's gonna be a beautiful night for sure!"
She turned around, seeing a young boy whom was holding out some water. "Why thank you young man." The female smiled, taking the water before thanking the mother as well and smiled as they went their separate way. "Well then, I think it's time to go enjoy some of the festivities."
The young woman began walking down the way, smiling at everyone, returning waves to a few before stopping at a flower stand to observe and smell the beauty of them.

Ri looked at the woman, mildly startled to be addressed. He was only looking around, but he guessed that's precisely what shop keepers did. Find a potential customer and get rupees. However his father taught him some tips on 'not selling the shirt off your back', so he was fairly confident that he'd be alright. However the young woman, he guessed she was close to his age, said she didn't work there. He let out a silent sigh of relief. He couldn't afford a horse anyways.
He was about to say so when a young man came up and greeted the woman Crystal. He looked to be a Sheikah by appearance, though Ri wasn't sure. He hadn't met many of the shadow like race, but felt it was true. Without a word he stepped to the side to let the two continue talking.
His eyes fell on a beautiful woman making her way among the crowd and street vendors. It was almost impossible to not see her, with her white hair and almost exotic quality. She was beautiful; there was no denying that. And a mysterious quality to her. She didn't seem like any of the Hyrulian races he has seen or heard about, and that just made her more mysterious. He blushed and looked away when she stopped to appreciate a flower growing. It would be impolite to stare, even if it was impossible to do otherwise.
Now that he caught his breath he looked to Crystal and gave her a nod of his head. "Thank you, but I'm only looking. I don't think I can afford one just yet." He shouldered his backpack and gave a nod farewell to the young Sheikah as well before turning and heading back into the growing crowd. He needed to find the acquaintance his father told him that might give him a good deal.
