She let out an undignified squeel of glee and dismay has he poked at her and she jumped back instinctively a small flush creeping into cheeks. Her sides had always been relentlessly ticklish and she had been subjected to many tickle attacks before as a child, it made her skin crawl and created such a paniced thrill “Don’t do that!” she exclaimed covering the vulnerable spot that he had poked at.
Regaining what dignity she may have had she shrugged lightly at his dismissal of the matter and her mild preturbedness. It wasn’t something to worry about in the long run and if his body required a more predatory diet she was just grateful she hadn’t turned out to be an appetizing meal. She doubted very much that his prey was limited to what was “morally” considered a prey animal. Afterall, what she had wittnessed, and that was very little, lead her to believe he was further up the foodchain than even her own race could be considered now.
This realization; while it didn’t escape her musings, she deemed the matter of predator and prey to be quite the speculative chaos. What is normal for the spider is chaos to the fly. Maybe Lelana was becoming less and less conformative to the restirctions of her upbringing since leaving home or maybe it was the fact she would tell herself these things to make allowances so that someone she loved could exist in her world without judgement and condemnation. Either way she found herself in a situation that she could be deemed the prey to his predatory instincts and she wouldn’t be surprised if that dicotomy came into question. However, recalling her mothers sage wisdom she was not going to borrow trouble for a different time. Let her live in some shred of happiness a little longer before having to face crueler realities.
She came up beside him as he spoke realizing that she had situated herself in such a way that his large body shieleded from the wind. She nodded lightly and looked down again “its not too shallow for the distance of the drop is it?”
She was more concerned about her body smashing headfirst into a shallow lake leaving her unconsious at best to be swept along with the current. Though she was Zora even an unconsious one didn’t have the advantage with strong forces like this.

His grin stretched broad and toothy at the sound of Lelana squealing from the tickle. With an amused chuckle, he decided not to bother her anymore with that though as he had moved to contemplate the water below. He didn't want to leave her exposed up here any longer than he had to. Zora had lithe builds, the cold winds had to be unhealthy for her in general anyhow. Looking at the river flowing into another water fall below, he shook his head.
He turned is head just enough to look back at her, behind his form and hiding from the winds. "Nah. The rivers here at the bottom of these falls have been worn down nice n all that. You'll be fine on the dive n what not." He on the other hand would have to position his self exactly where he remembered the deeper part of the water being. This had been his most recent area, prior his 'death', and they were incredibly close to the spot where he had been brought down. So of course he'd have a memory of this spot, the smell of iron, durian, rain and waterfalls.
Stepping to the side a few steps, measuring out where he would need to be to survive the jump, he looked back to Lelana. "Just hit the water n you'll do great." He joked, looking back down at the water. It wasn't like the river was squirming and moving back and forth. It was in one static spot, it was going nowhere and it was obvious that no large rocks have fallen in since then.

She smiled broadly beaming with the thrill and excitement from earlier as she stepped lightly unto one of the rocky overhangs. When she was at his height she placed a light fervent kiss on his lips before pulling away “then I suppose it’s a race back to the surface,” she grinned as she retreated from him to find her diving position.
She wanted to take advantage of any potential surprise her playfully brazen kiss might cause to give her a head start. Like the kids who would say on three for a race and then take off at two. She lightly took a running start and launched herself into the air for a backflip as she dived letting out a shriek of delight as she fell along the falls front.
Oh, this is what it felt like to have one’s heart soar as it raced in a rush of adrenaline and joy towards the waters below. She spun and twisted in her dive before straightening out to hit the water smoothly.
Her body sliced through the water like a harpoon and she twisted and turned in the energy rush of the dive letting her fins propel her through the water as she'd wait for Flynn to hit the pool.

The kiss had Flynn standing there, dumbfounded up until she spoke. Blinking at her as she started her dive. "Well. .. Hey." She was gone. Waiting to watch where she hit the water, he waited up until that moment before jumping down to the spot in the water he remembers being deeper than most. He dove, feet first and prepared his self to hit the water with resistance. It wouldn't hurt, but it would if he smacked into the bed of the small river.
Turning just as he hit the water, his hip, legs and half of his but his the water while his back rolled down some, hands stretched out to each side, successfully stopping his decent right above the river bed. It wasn't until he was in the water though that a strange scent hit his nose. It was a mix among a flurry of other scents, but... maybe it was Lelana? No, he had her scent well picked out, eyes squinted, he looked around a few times before pushing his self to the surface, looking over to look for Lelana.

Tonga was certain she’d come this way. He had been following her doggedly for days. The zora he was supposed to bring back, Lelana, landed with a gentle splash just a short way in front of him. The large zora warrior gave an arrogant smile, “Ah, and there the little runaway is now. Do you know how hard it has been to track you? You’ve worried people with this little runaway stunt you’ve pulled. But don’t worry, I’m here to take you back. This will most likely be my final trial too. Vah Ruta is as good as mine now. I’ve proven myself as a warrior by being the leading member of the group that killed the traitor Flynn. Now I’ve proven my resourcefulness by tracking you and bringing you home.” He gives the runaway a quizzical look, “I do want to know why you ran in the first place. I thought you were set to be wed, to have a good, simple life in the domain. Why all of these pointless escapades? Why do you smell so strongly of monster?”
As if in answer to his question, Flynn came crashing down into the water. Turning his attention towards the newcomer, “And what is thi- What the hell is this!?” pulling his spear from his back, “What kind of foul sorcery is at play here? I watched that spear pierce your chest and run you clean through. What dark magic brought you back? Why are you with Lelana!?” This was certainly another complication to an already complicated tracking mission. The traitor was reborn with a monstrous scent. What power was at play here?
One big bad zora warrior as requested. Have fun! FlynnLelana

It was in that moment that she wished the rock bed had found her as that unpleasantly familiar voice reached her ears. It had always carried foreboding, arrogant news and it was the last voice she expected to hear so far away from the domain. At the same time though…it made sense. She had been proffered to be wed and as the daughter of an esteemed councilman she should have known they would have hunted her only to bring her back to a cage she did not want; while Tonga tried to claim what she wanted. Unfortunately, she had too many unpleasant exchanges with the Zora from being pestered for courtship to being taunted that she was incapable of being more than a trophy and had no place outside of the Domain. Not to mention his direct involvement in Flynn’s hunt and death over the last nine years.
This was going to be bad but she didn’t want it to be.
“You need to leave. I don’t want to go back to the domain and you can tell that to my father and husband to be that I have no intentions on returning either.”
She then swam up to the surface where Flynn was looking quite offset as Tonga pulled his spear “You need to get out of the water now!” she urged “and you need to get out of here quickly”
She made sure to keep herself in front of Flynn so that if Tonga had the brilliant idea to attack from below the surface he would be much harder pressed to succeed at the risk of hurting her.
If she knew one thing her father would be irate if she came back wounded at the hands of the warrior they had sent to retrieve her and there would go Tonga’s precious chance at being the pilot of the Divine Beast or having his own bridal reward

Of course he had surfaced, despite his confusion. But the confusion on his face only mixed with slight frustration as Lelana, of all people, popped out of the water and told him that he needed to get out. Glaring some, he looked at Lelana with a stern expression. First the strange smell, now she was demanding that he get out of the water. "If there's somethin bad nough ta hurt me, ya should be concerned bout yer own health more."
"N there ain't gonna be no gettin out for ya unless ya go up or down one of these falls." He grumbled, kicking against the current to stay in place before looking up at the cliffs on either side. Without too much more of a word though, he turned and made his way to the rock walls, gripping onto them and pulling his self up to a small outcropping, turning to look back at the water. The foam made it difficult to see, but he could definitely see a larger figure beneath the surface.
Frowning some, he tried to figure out what could have her so frazzled. He didn't have a problem with most monsters, though he did argue with some here and there. He was honestly kind of annoyed with her trying to defend him. What was the point? Or did she have to do something else in the water-
Confused even further, he continued making a face at the water until some sort of answer surfaced. He still smelled the hints of a different zora, so he felt his heart rate pick up. Something wasn't right, Lelana wasn't straight forward with him and it was honestly a little annoying.

Rather miffed at being ignored not by just one, but both of the ‘people’ here. Popping his blue, shark tailed head out of the water exactly 2ft and 6inches away from the group, “Excuse me! What the hell is going on here!? Why are you caring for that thing?” Turning to, the now monster, Flynn, spear at the ready. “What the hell happened? I saw you get killed. What magic kept you alive? This had better be good. I might just have to see you killed again. Bring a trophy home to prove it was done right this time.”

Being pushed by the other Zora’s wake from surfacing Lelana snapped towards Tonga this time quite aggravated. “I told you I am not going back,” drawing her own spear in defense she held it close prepared to block his jab should he attack.
She wasn’t going to just paddle off like a sedate female “I don’t owe you an explanation for what I do and I suggest you leave before this situation gets even worse. Tell them you didn’t find me, I don’t want to be found…and I swear to Hylia if you touch him it will not go well for you.”
She may be small in comparison to the two males but she was a lithe and agile fighter, especially in the water. She would fight if she had to, though she didn’t want to. She didn’t care if Flynn needed her to protect him or not. She didn’t care if Tonga went back to the domain and made her out to be a traitor. It was her life and her choice and neither of them were going to disregard that.

Am I part of them? Are they part of me? |
When the other Zora popped out of the water, Flynn stopped for a moment, and found his self staring at the familiar face. He wasn't as aggressive as the other warriors, and preferred to stay laid back rather than prove his aggression. He went about his own business and let out any aggression he had in combat. But the others, he could never understand why they were so ridiculous in their own behavior. He would call his self beastial in nature back then if the shadow of the others didn't make it a complete and total lie.
"It's a good thing ya can 'least 'member the face ya failed ta kill. Shows ya can do somethin right." He felt something in the pit of his stomach boil, something akin to what it was like when he was on the hunt and his prey became injured in some way or another. Gripping the hilt of his sword, Flynn spread his own feet and snarled at the other Zora. That unbridled rage he kept hidden down and tamed was trying to boil upwards, but he really didn't want Lelana to witness how he got when angered now.
Back in the day, it was like a frenzied shark. He was fast, strong and primal. But now, while he was lacking some speed, he had more strength, and was much more brutal in the way he handled his hunts. Like a Malgyorg frenzied, he became untameable. "You didn' kill me, y'all simply left me ta die. The jungle may be dense n my cries may have been unheard by man, but at least Ganon answered." He could feel his heart thudding in his chest, fists clenching as the anger started to surface, that primal urge to hunt surfacing. He was getting hungry anyways, and if you add a hangry male on top of his instincts surfacing as a violent primal rage, then you get a Flynn.
"Ya stupid scale fer brains n yer stupid fuckin war trophies. Ya always bringin' arrogance ta a fight but can't be assed to show a shreda' humility at any point n time." He muttered it to his self, more than anything, the roar of the waterfall becoming a far away sound as his eyes focused on the Zora in the water, brain already calculating different ways he could drag this one into the murk. He'd make an excellent gift to Ganon.
