I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. Back to Faron huh? Yara thought to herself as she came out of her teleport from the hideout. She found herself at the edge of the jungle near the cave she had taken shelter in from the rain during her last excursion to the wild, jungled region. She had specifically teleported into the highest branches underneath the great canopy to ensure that her appearance would be as silent and stealthy as possible. Her sharp eyes scanned that trees and the ground below for any signs of her prey or an ambush. Leave it to her luck to walk straight into a trap of a hunter or paranoid Sheikah. Everything was a risk; not just for Yara but the Yiga in general. She found herself hoping that the return of Ganon would come quickly so she would have to stop second guessing her choices when it came to stepping outside of the known safety of the hideout. That was the reality of the world though and Yara would just have to continue to make her choices based on not breaking eggshells. At least until she could break said eggshells with a confident crunch and tell anything and everyone to fuck off. Good luck with that though. The bitter sardonic thought crossed through her mind as she took these moments to make her final assessments of the area and ensure to her disguise had not been disrupted She had insured she had grabbed the needed supplies as well as wore her nimble armor underneath her outer layer of clothing. She was prepared for a hunt. She couldn’t feel her master’s presence but that didn’t mean he wasn’t there. He was a known expert in stealth and masking his movements when it came to the way she identified targets. She had still not grown entirely used to him suddenly appearing when she had been in deep concentration. Her stomach knotted knowing that he would be watching her with his critical assessing eyes, she knew one way or another he would be disappointed in something. The trepidation was very short lived however and she pushed the knowledge out of her mind that she was being tested and appraised. This was her task; he didn’t have any room in her mind if she was to focus appropriately. She began to move silently through the canopy, her bare toes gripping the thin branches delicately. After her first excursion to the jungle she had made a point to practice her stealth and agility for such a scenario. Coming to a stop with a forked tree trunk, Yara took advantage of the decaying foliage and began to rub it all over herself to mask her scent. At the very least if she came across her target without being discovered as an assailant she would appear to be one of the Hylian hunters from a nearby village or a traveler searching for food. Her disguise included a rough looking bow and a jagged old knife, not very useful for anything but a disguise but it would pass off, hopefully, as if she were an inexperienced traveler trying to make their way in the great world. After sufficiently coating herself in the earthen decay she perched herself listening intently…or as much as her stunted hearing would allow while she scanned the jungle before for signs of her prey. @tag- # # # - notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

Your master was definitely right behind you, don't worry. He watched, concealed in the shadows, as you disguised yourself as well as scented yourself before looking out for a target. As you looked about though, you'd spot the shimmering signs of a fire hidden behind some dense brush. Not much could be heard, so to your ears, the flickering was accompanied by silence. The silence would make things increasingly difficult, but luckily for you, both a Hylian and her Deku companion walked back from a nearby water source, carrying a canteen. The Hylian was smiling, short and had striking green eyes. And as the deku moved next to her, the little wood creature could be observed whenever she poked her head out or fell behind in step. Her lightly colored wood didn't seem to blend with Faron's surroundings until she stepped into the brush, her flowers growing from the little green leaves on her head were vibrant, pink priscillas. She, like most Deku, was certainly like a fighter, but she seemed even more petite than the assumed norm for them. The Deku stopped before stepping into the brush though and let out a soft squeak before looking to her friend, talking up to her, causing the Hylian to go on guard as well. The Deku sensed something and they were both looking for it.
- Hylian and Deku for you Yara

I'm not made of stone I'm not defending-downward descending Falling further and further away Getting closer every day I'm on the wrong side of heaven and the righteous side of hell
+ @tagged1 + @tagged2 + short note | She wasn’t surprised that the Deku had picked up on her scent…though…it was possible that they hadn’t picked up on her. Ambushes where a frequent possibility in the jungle, after all she was an ambush waiting to happen. She peered down at the Hylian and the Deku as the appeared out from behind the foliage and began to cross towards her tree. Yara scowled as the targets tensed, she let Jett’s cool eagerness steady her as her breathing stilled.
Looking at the pair she was certain of the Deku being equipped with a healing spell or two, possibly a light user as well. It would be a bitch and a half to deal with the Hylian if the Deku kept revitalizing it. She determined at this point her best plan of action was to wait, let Jett harry the Hylian as Yara assessed the duo. Jett responded his assent to the plan that she flashed in her mind to him and they understood it together. Jett would draw the fire so Yara could zone in and assess how to eliminate the targets.
She pooled his shadows on the trunk beside her and he skidded down the trunk of the tree letting out an angered territorial battle cry. It was sure to scare the shit out them as he landed with a large thud behind the Hylian and charged swinging his arm towards the Hylians chest.
It was time to see what this pair was about before she sacrificed their souls to her Maker.

The Hylian nor the Deku seemed startled at your Gorilla's cry, in fact, all it did was whip their heads to face the exact direction of Jett's roar. The Hylian wasted no time in drawing her sword, the blade long, but not dual wield long. It was obvious that she had some battle experience with the way she handled it, and the cool, calculating look in her eyes was almost... reminiscent of a certain someone. Her eyes focused on Jett as her hand swirled, summoning a light spear to thrust towards the ape, making an attempt at zoning, as well as a silent warning. The Hylian nor the Deku were ignorant, and their suspicions peaked. This large, lumbering, obviously unnatural creature came charging out of nowhere, and both of these travelers were seasoned enough to know evil influence when they felt it. The Deku didn't move too far away from the Hylian and instead, lowered herself to the ground behind her, taking on a stance as she pulled the roots around her, the trees and plants squirming to life as her eyes flicked around the surroundings, searching for any other attackers. The trees spoke to her, something was off in the way they moved, she still felt something else prowling.
- I had the dice help me decide just how adept these ladies are, as well as their situational awareness. Well, it gave me an 18. So. Yara The Hylian is thrusting a light spear towards Jett. / The Deku knows you're somewhere.

I'm not made of stone I'm not defending-downward descending Falling further and further away Getting closer every day I'm on the wrong side of heaven and the righteous side of hell
+ @tagged1 + @tagged2 + Jett attempting to avoid and throw broken log-yara revealing herself and using earth spire in an effort to divide the Julian away from Jett/deku | Yara frowned seeing that her gamble with the hylian had been off. Granted she had done that to identify just which one of them, if not both, possessed light magic. As Jett encroached on the Hylian and her light spear as it was thrusted towards him, he would attempt to make a wide berth to the Hylian’s right, grab a rotten piece of a fallen tree and toss it at the Hylian in an effort to knock them off balance. Or at the very least block another blow from the spear. His training in these jungles hadn’t been for nothing; he knew the instinctual aversion to light magic when he saw it and though he wanted to give a great swing to the woman’s chest and send her flying he was going to have to avoid getting too close.
Yara would have to deal with the Hylian they agreed; Jett would have to handle the Deku. Seeing the Deku anchor itself into the trees, Yara knew her time was limited before discovery. If they found her it would be on their terms not hers, and she didn’t want them to have the upper hand here. They sensed her darkness as she sensed their sickening light. It made her stomach churn.
Making her move she agilely moved down through the branches till she was about 8ft from the ground in which she let herself drop to the earth. In the brief moments of her drop the woman’s familiarity yanked at the back of Yara’s mind and that sense of familiarity without recognition tried to send her off kilter. However, she had planned a course of attack and pushed the issue aside as her feet touched the ground sending an Earth Spire to rise between the Deku and the Hylian. It wasn’t so much for making the hit as it was to separate the pair. The Hylian was aware and agile but the Deku had anchored them directly behind the Hylian; Yara estimated that it would be useful either way.
When she finished releasing the spire she would settle into her cat stance, right foot firm in the earth left foot poised to strike. Her disguise was still in place though it would probably soon reveal itself the facial structure was reminiscent of herself before her conversion. If it was true that she had been of the Sheikah heritage, according to her former caretaker, then it was exceedingly watered down; her eyes had been grey and her hair bordering platinum before Ganon had pulled her out of deaths grip. | © seadra of gs |

The Deku was on top of things as soon as she heard Jett lifting the fallen log. Her Hylian companion though had it handled, quickly kicking up a rock wall to block the log before quickly stomping it back down. The Hylian looked towards Yara as she dropped to the ground, trying to drive a spire between her and her companion. She stepped out of the way with her companion quickly moving out of the way. It would've drove between them if the little wood creature hadn't felt the earth move. She was quick with her spells, and it took little to no effort to release roots for Deku, this came naturally to them. "Amelia." The Hylian spoke softly, her stoic expression locked on Yara. "Understood!" The small Deku quickly replied, watching her friend slide her foot in the direction of the Yiga. The Hylian was willing to flip these scales. Amelia turned towards Jett, mucus collecting and dripping before she finally spit it out onto the ground at Jett's feet. Light on her feet, the Deku readied herself and watched Jett carefully, the branches, bushes and roots still squirming ever so slightly as she focused on the ape, waiting. The Hylian, on the other hand, dispelled her light spear for the time being and held her sword with a proper grip, showing no tension in it. She didn't say anything to you, but rather, stared directly into your eyes with an unwavering stare. She's obviously done this before and you nor your ape frighten her and her friend.
- Yara Hylian revealed to know two elements, dispelled her light spear and is now waiting / Deku don't care, fired mucus glue at Jett's feet and is now waiting.

+ @tagged1 + @tagged2 + Jett swings up and tries to land out of the glue. Yara uses rock buster on the hylian while jett tosses debris at the deku | Yara’s face remained impassive but she felt herself internally frown; she wasn’t too surprised that this Hylian had two elements, in fact it was possible she had a couple more up her sleeve. She held the woman’s gaze unflinchingly. It seemed they were both watching, waiting for the other to make a move. She felt her sickle against her hip but she didn’t want to engage in sword to sword combat just yet. This woman was going to be a pain in her ass.
The trick was getting the Deku away from her partner. Jett, seeing the mucus ball come his way grabbed onto the thick of a branch above him to pull his feet out of the direct shot and then swung himself to land outside of the sticky glob. They were going to try to keep him at a distance, smart move.
Only moments passed as Yara faced down the Hylian and projected another suggestion to break them apart. Yara pulled up a chunk of earth in front of her, compacted it swiftly and sent it flying with a forceful kick in the direction of the Hylian. As Yara did this, Jett again would grab for heavy debris and throw it from his angle towards the deku.

The Hylian and the Deku were as focused as ever on the combat, both of them focused on their selected enemies moves. The Deku wasn't surprised that the large beast was able to swing out of the way of her mucus. Any creature with arms like that must be lovely at maneuvering with them. But while the beast she observed had arms, it was lacking in legs. She took an even breath and continued watching Jett for his next move. The next move came to both of them at the same time though and they both reacted. Seeing the earth begin to rise up, the Hylian stayed focused until just the right second to drop to both of her knees, legs spreading in near splits as she ducked the incoming ball of earth. Her free hand, gloved in stone, came up just in time to glance the rock off of the top of her form, saving her from what would've been a glancing blow to her back. Still a blow, which was no acceptable, not with all the fights she's been through. "Wall Muiri!" The Deku cried out, watching Jett heft and launch some more debris their way as her Hylian companion ducked the rock. "Understood."And a wall came up, deflecting the debris. The Hylian smacked the hilt of her sword between her teeth, using a free hand to bring the wall up, just long enough to catch the debris, and bring it back down. These were light on the stamina types of spells, but Muiri and Amelia had their strategies. They knew each other's weakness. As Muiri stood back up though, pulling the sword out of her mouth, a tell tale, small band tied around the top of the hilt identified just one of the many things she had been to. Any Yiga that had done their research and kept up with today's knowledge would recognize it as a band given to anybody who volunteered in the guardian clean up. Where the Sheikah had collected all of the guardian pieces and relocated them after deactivating them. She had one of those bands.
- Yara - Your team mates certainly are cohesive. Hylian glanced a blow off of her rock glove. It's now revealed (optional according to how much knowledge you want Yara to have) that she was a part of the Guardian Clean up mission. / The Deku called out a simple command, earning one in turn. She is unharmed and is still watching Jett.

+ @tagged1 + @tagged2 + yara gloves her right hand with rock glove and charges the hylian readying and earthspike should the hylian block. Jett is running at the hylian attempting to evade any crowd control tactics from the deku | It took everything within Yara’s control to not let out a feral growl as the woman sunk to the earth and deflected the boulder in what had become an all too familiar tactic. It was always a point of frustration but instead of the outward expression of frustration she would exhibit in the training grounds she managed to maintain her composure; best not to give the enemy a weak point to monopolize on. It had happened too many times where her Master had given her a solid thrashing when he exploited her emotional indicators.
Breaking out of her stance, Yara crouched low, her right hand on the earth as she gloved it and drew her sickle. The long, curved blade gleamed in the sunlight that filtered through the branches as she held it out to her side. She was done trying to deal with both of them separately. The band on the woman’s sword Yara only barely recognized off of a trophy that one of her overseers had bragged about during her years as a slave. The woman was skilled not only with similar training to her own but also an accomplished fighter equipped to deal with the Ancient Guardians. Yara felt the bloodlust rise within her, the adrenaline acting as a drug. Taking a deep, low breath she side stepped around the hole she had made in the earth letting the energy of her element course through her and ground her.
She didn’t speak, she didn’t need to. Jett already felt her next intent to go after the Hylian exclusively. Yara rushed the woman to clear the distance and bring her scythe in an upward slash to strike at the woman’s front. Should the woman block the blow Yara would dig her right heel into the earth to target an earth spike under the woman’s blade and into the woman’s sword shoulder if not the neck.
Meanwhile, Jett would charge at the Hylian being sure to keep an eye on the Deku’s roots or more mucus shots so that he could attempt the proper evasive maneuvers

Muiri's face remained unchanged as you charged towards her. She took note of the gloved hand on top of the sickle, and her feet stayed firmly planted where they were. The blades never touched though. Muiri swung her fist right as you would've been half way to her, winds cutting around her hand, erupting at the end up the punch to release a burst of gales. Trees rustled violently, debris kicked up and mud displaced as she exhibited yet another element. Hylians may have not had much going for them, but their elemental flexibility may be proving why they were excellent volunteers for the guardian clean up. Even after pushing you back though, her face didn't crack. There was no crocky grin, not even an eye twitch. Amelia wasn't having anything on her end either. The two, incredibly defensive fighters acting a lot alike. Amelia let out a soft grunt as she created a ball of light between her two, small hands, pushing it forwards and upwards just a bit to put it at eye level with the beast. Muiri was safe from the blinding flash, thanks to her back being to the ape and the deku. The huge ball stayed as well, filling the Jungle with an incredibly brilliant light. Surely if Jett were to look at it for any longer than it'd take to blink, his eyes wouldn't recover from this. Amelia would then become impossible for either the you or your familiar to see and Muiri would keep her back turned. Clearly trusting her Deku friend enough to allow her to use such a technique with an ally in the field.
- Yara - Muiri used Gale Force push. She's presented knowing three elements at the novice level. It's unclear what her birth element is, or any of the element's order at that. / Amelia can see this huge beast making his way over and isn't having it. She's used disorientate and there is now a huge, floating ball of light in the field. Sight of Amelia has been obscured. / It's become glaringly obvious that these are both defensive fighters.
