❝ | I'm counting on hearts like yours to keep me burning. You be bright when I'm starting to rust. You be the why behind my what. I'm counting on hearts like yours to help remind me to keep ignoring the white noise behind me. Don't ever let them water me down. 'Cause I know, Once you feel it you can't unfeel it, Once you dream it you can't undream it | ❞ |
Torin Wetlands/east of South Akkala Stable-along Akkala Lake
The roaring sound of the Akkala falls echoed through the air for miles, even the faint sound of them could be heard in Terry Town and the mists could be seen rising up from the basin of Lake Akkala. The sky was overcast with a distant promise of a coming spring shower, but where Lelana stood overlooking the great lake, the wetlands, and Terry Town there was a small patch of sunlight that had managed to peak out from behind the grayness. She felt the thrill of the open expanse before her and the possibilities that they held. She couldn’t help but have a small foreboding feeling in the pit of her stomach though; there were signs and whispers of the Great Calamity creeping through the kingdom. No one was immune to Ganon’s wrath, not even those who called themselves his denizens. Either way there would be destruction.
The young female sighed and pushed the looming dread away as she dove into the stream at the head of the waterfall. She gave herself as much room to build speed as she was allowed and darted towards the falls mouth with a great speed. Any onlookers would be surprised by the sudden acrobatic display a Zora so far out of their known region, but Lelana didn’t do it expecting anyone to be watching. She did it for the thrill and exhilaration of taking flight momentarily and diving into the blue depths below. She swam laps through the lake letting her skin rejoice in the cold winter waters. Her skin had become terribly abused from wandering the dry regions from Tabantha through Eldin with hardly any opportunity for a swim. The water was her home no matter how much she wanted to wander and see all of the corners of the world.
After releasing the pent up yearnings, the Zora made her way back to the bank of the Torin Wetlands to return to her little residence she had crafted and set up while she studied the flora specimens of this ecosystem. She silently rejoiced in the feeling of the wet ground under her feet as she made her way to her raised tent that hung from a tree and hovered over ankle deep water.
This could be one place she could see herself choosing to be a home.
