Assuming a defensive stance, Daruhan addresses the wolfos. “Hey there buddy, we might have gotten off on the wrong foot here. Any chance we stop this pointless fight and become friends instead?” He wasn’t quite sure how intelligent the wolfos was, although it did seem to be smarter than the average. It could be a useful companion. It was rugged and tough like Daruhan was. He also had a begrudging respect for this wolfos, it was beaten by those closest to it and it carried on alone. If after a few moments the quad wolfos hasn’t attacked Daruhan would keep waiting in a defensive stance. When/if the wolfos attacks him, he will try to counter with another grab and punch him, letting the beast hurt him if it makes the maneuver more successful. Sometimes taking a hit makes yours more effective. Daruhan knew not to underestimate these kinds of wolfos though. He’d dealt with them before and even just one by itself was a hard matchup.
Totally going Rider on this wolfos. "Have you ever considered joining me instead of fighting?" Daxton

This thing didn't look too entirely pleased with anything, it's jaw opening once again before closing, trying to stretch the hot flesh on it's skin that had been cooled to a stony surface. As it took a few steps through the water, it could be seen just how sluggish this species became when wet, but it still had a sturdy look in it's eyes and form. It didn't quite attack you yet, rather considered what you had said. After all, they are the smartest canine based monster currently known to man. Seeming to mull on what you said, the Wolfos moved to where it could sit down without putting itself deeper into the spring, and sat in a rather defensive position. It was still wary, but it wanted to see just how far you'd go with this. The proud creature looked a tad miserable here, and it was obvious that compared to his psychotic companion, he'd much rather be rolling in magma and lava than be here, in the rain, cold and out of place. These Wolfos weren't meant to be soaked. A little rain every now and then was fine, so was coming down from the volcano. But fighting in a spring in Akkala's notoriously rainy environment seemed to have dampened this wolfos's fighting spirit for the time being. Just like you, he'd rather not fight. Not like this at least. Still, if Daruhan made any sudden movements, a low growl could be heard.
- Former alpha for a reason. he's much smarter than others. Daruhan

The beast didn’t outright attack him. This was a great start! Daruhan watched as the clearly out of place beast dragged its feet over to a raised platform so it could sit and not be in more water than absolutely necessary. In a way he felt sorry for the beast, so far from his warm home, doing his best to make it on its own. Looking to the downed, and slightly insane it seemed, bipedal wolfos he’d clearly made sacrifices and compromise to survive. Daruhan smiled, although careful not to show any teeth. From what he read this was a sign of aggression. He puts his hands down into the water and undoes his rock glove spell, the rock surrounding his fists slowly returning to the earth. Then, crouching to lower his figure, approaches the weathered wolfos slowly. “There now buddy, I can tell you’ve been through a lot. No need for all the aggression. Let’s try and work this out, huh? I’d give you something to eat, but I don’t think you’d appreciate being given rocks as much as I would. Maybe we can do something to fix that after we become better friends, yeah? You guys must’ve been pretty desperate to come and hunt a goron for food.” He spoke in a calm voice, at least as gentle as he could. Daruhan wasn’t known for being the most quiet or gentle voiced of gorons, but the less aggression this wolfos perceived, the better his chances of taming it would be. If the wolfos shows signs of discomfort or agitation at Daruhan’s approach he will stop and take a seat, not wanting to have this miraculously good thing go to waste so frivolously.
Behold, Daruhan, the beast master! lol jk, he's just winging it. Daxton

The Wolfos's maw opened and closed, lowering itself to the ground further, ears folded back as you approached. It recognized the change in your tone, not as powerful and rambunctious. Not as pushy, and looking to murder him despite being one of the kind that ate the rocky denizens of the mountain. But you were getting too close. With a low growl, thick, heavy paws dug into the muddied ground as you took a seat, relaxing only just a bit when you made no other moves after that. Righting his self into a more proud, yet soaked looking sitting position. His red eyes continued watching you, peering silently. Waiting your next move.
- Well, the wolfos is rolling with it Daruhan

The beast had started growling at him as he approached, that was fine. He wasn’t expecting to suddenly become best friends just because they didn’t immediately agree to kill one another. Well, at least it was going better than he thought it would. It hadn’t decided to attack him, and it seemed to be picking up on his softer tones, for what they were, and relaxing a bit from it. Well, if they were going to go hunting, Daruhan wasn’t going to get anything out of it. He might as well grab a snack now. “I hope you don’t mind, before we go and find you something to, I think I’ll grab myself a quick bite”, he says, pulling a small sack from his waist. This was his food pouch, it had all sorts of yummy rocks in it. He pulls out some left-over rock sirloin from earlier in his travels and takes a bite out of it. If the wolfos starts to show an interest in what he has. Daruhan will offer it a piece in an outstretched hand. “Well, if you’re going to eat a rock, this is a good place to start. Rock sirloin is the best there is. Straight from Death Mountain. I still don’t think it’ll be your speed though. I haven’t seen a wolfos eat stuff like this before.”
I guess Daruhan has some reading to do. Not all wolfos are created equal. Daxton

Daruhan would definitely have to look into the species of quadruped wolfos. They did indeed have many subspecies, and this specific one desired rocks more than flesh. Of course, it would settle for both, but there was a reason Wolfos attack on Goron City were a rarity. The only time an attack was really heard of was when a Wolfos was agitated while searching for food. Usually though, the region of Death Mountain was mostly left untouched by both man and Goron, for good reason. It's just incredibly difficult to build civilization on an active volcano. The wolfos would approach your outstretched hand with caution, getting closer... and closer... ever so slowly until it was just out of reach. Then as quickly as possible with his hardened and cold hide, the wolfos snatched the food and backed away, sitting back down on his perch to crunch through the snack quickly and with ease. Once finish, the wolfos's red eyes would look back to you, licking his chops in a content silence. Rock sirloin was a delicacy that he missed dearly. The volcanic rocks that rolled down into Akkala just weren't the same. They were cold, ashy and stale tasting. Disgusting. He'd turned to eating deer, and with Akkala's weather, that had become difficult for him until he found his psychotic friend to dominate and demand to hunt for him.
- Daruhan. Better break them books out.

Daruhan smiled again, both impressed that the wolfos was able to eat the rock, and that it liked it so much. He chuckles a bit, “Ah, you have a good taste in food as well I see. I’ll share some more with you then.” He pulls out another piece of the sirloin and offers it to the wolfos. “Not too many other creatures can appreciate the delicate subtleties of rock sirloin. I’m impressed.” He takes another bite of it himself, he knew the rest of the world needed help badly, but sometimes it was just worth the time to go to Death Mountain and stock up on this stuff. Other rocks were nice, but they just couldn't come close. If the wolfos approaches this time for the food, Daruhan will say, “Ok, you can have this too, but this time I want to pet you, ok? I promise I won’t hurt you. Surely you have an itch somewhere you’d like scratched right?” He laughs lightly to himself. “And hey, after we’re done here you wanna go back the mountain and try and find some of this stuff fresh? It’s way better there. It isn't as cold. Hot sirloin is always better. I wish I had something to heat it up with to show you” He appraises the wolfos for a moment, “Besides, I don’t think this rain and water agree with either of us very well. Too cold and wet.”
Food, the universal language. And yes, after this totally slamming some books. He's got a good general knowledge of monsters, but he is by no means an expert. Maybe he should consider zoology. Daxton

The beast listened to your words carefully, watching as another piece of sirloin was offered. This time, he was only a hair less hesistant to take the food from you, chomping down on it, but also listening to the person with the food's demands. The Wolfos would hold still for you and give you the opportunity to pet him, but he'd be tense the whole time up until he grew agitated with the petting and backed away. The alpha seemed interested in the proposal for fresh food, but that also meant going into territory he was exiled from. Folding his ears back some, they flicked back up as he turned his snout towards the mountain top. He would go with you. He needed out of this rain, he needed to be warm and he needed real food. He was not in the best condition he could be in. It was actually possible for him to perish if he went on like this. He wasn't getting any of the proper nutrients from the rocks that he had access to.
- He will follow you up the mountain side, for now. Still very wary Daruhan

Watching the wolfos as it turned towards the mountain Daruhan thought he understood what the creature was trying to tell him. “Don’t worry about those other wolfos there buddy. You’ll have Daruhan fighting with you if anything happens. If you’re going to roll with me I’ll look after you. We’ll have to look after each other.” Looking at the many scars covering the wolfos’ body and frowning a little he continues, “We both know what it’s like to be alone. My story might not be the same as yours, but I can relate to some of it.”
Daruhan stands up, looking towards the mountain. “Let’s go home for a bit and get you a proper meal” He turns to the quad wolfos. “What do you say?” He then turns to the bipedal wolfos passed out in the water, “What do you think we should do with that one? You think he’ll be OK on his own? Id say bring him with us, but I don’t think he likes me very much and I don’t think he could stand the heat either.” Daruhan drags the unconscious wolfos to an upraised platform, so it was in as dry a spot as it could be right now. Walking over to the wolfos he was trying to befriend he gives it the last of his sirloin out of his bag before starting the climb out of the spring then on to Death Mountain. “C’mon buddy, let’s go.”
Lol bye crazy pupper man. Hello warm peaks of Death Mountain and more rock sirloin to enjoy with a new hopefully friend! Daxton

The Wolfos's eyes locked onto your form when you spoke to him, blinking only when absolutely needed. The only time he did turn away was when the bipedal wolfos was addressed and moved somewhere he wouldn't drown. Without so much as a growl or wolf, he watched you as you moved his companion. Ears flicking rain and a bit of stone, the wolf huffed and turned to start walking towards the mountain taking the rock sirloin in his mouth on his way out without much of an objection. The Wolfos would go with you to the mountain. If anything, he'd revel in the warmth and the lava. Something to get the heat back onto his hide.
- Daruhan Lead the way. You will get some more monster spawns though if you carry on with the Wolfos.
