Daruhan waited for the wolf to catch up to him before tucking in and rolling off at a decently slow pace. He wasn’t sure how fast the wolfos could go right now, but if it seemed to be keeping up without much trouble he’d speed up a bit until he found something comfortable for the beast that didn’t sacrifice too much time. Daruhan didn’t like the rain much either. As the temperature and the silhouette of Death Mountain rose higher he began to feel more comfortable. He sometimes didn’t understand how the other races dealt with things being so cold all of the time. “Almost there new buddy, I know the best places to find some delicious rocks here. But then I guess so do you.” Ah, he loved the feel of the harder, volcanic rock under him as he rolled. He started going on alert though, he new the dangers of this place, and they had grown in strength and number of late.
Suddenly a dongorongo appears. Hylia, no.... Daxton

The Wolfos put his nose up, sniffing the air as he jogged along Daruhan at an easy pace, making easy work of keeping up with the Goron. The Wolfos stayed calm though, not detecting any scents yet that were ballsy enough to attack the group this low on the mountain. He didn't have too much energy though, but his flexibility was increasing as the stones on his hide fell away, finally and slowly returning to some sort of semblance of normality. The wolfos let out a soft, yet layered 'woof', his nose pointed towards the stones rising up in the distance. He smelled active Dodongo, but they weren't close enough to risk disturbing them yet.
- Not much this low on death mountain that would fuck with a Wolfos and a Goron. You're safe for now, carry on.

Stopping a moment to look around, sniffing the air a bit himself, “Nah, none of these rocks are even close to being good enough.” Seeing that the wolfos with him is starting to ‘thaw’ he comments, “Well, you’re starting to look a bit better, aren’t you? I’ll bet you’re happy to be out of that rain. I know I am.” Following the wolfos’ gaze, “You’re right, we should head up the peaks a bit more, find you some nice lava.”
Crouching back into a ball he continues on up the mountain, passed the point where other, unsuited, species would catch on fire just by simply existing in that space. He was home at last.

The woof turned into a growl when you mentioned rocks at his attempt to warn you, instead, he turned and let out a low growl towards those rocks, trying to warn you that there was danger there. The growling stopped and his ears perked at lava though, his red eyes turning and upon seeing the nearest pool, he walked over to it, sniffing the edge of the lava tentatively before slipping down into the lava and disappearing. While the Wolfos was under the lava, several Dodongo could be seen stomping around in the same exact direction his nose was pointing. The hardened lizards would occasionally suck in a breath and cry out, but they'd stop when they notice a Goron.

Daruhan put his hands to the earth as he usually did to prep for combat, rocks gathering at his fists and forearms before he turned towards the rocks his wolfos friend was growling at, what was he worried about over there? He did notice the dodongo’s over in the distance, but they didn’t seem interested in him, perhaps afraid of him? They stopped making noise when they saw him. He readied himself for whatever danger the wolfos sensed that he could not.

The three Dodongos began to creep their way towards you, all moving in a flanking motion and one staying a little too close to the lava pool next to him. As they all moved forward though, one let out a pained hiss before being sucked off the bank of the rocks and into the pool of lava by a flash of molten red. The other two looked shocked and made sure to put the Goron between them and the molten liquid. They didn't want to become deep fried either. Both of them drew in a breath, launching a stream of fire towards you, starting the offensive.

Daruhan turned to look at the approaching dodongos. 2 of them huh? These things didn’t know when to leave well enough alone. He sighed as the dodongo’s started inhaling for their attack. “This is truly disappointing”. Raising his arms high he slams them down together, creating a torrent of rocky shards. These shards then angle themselves towards the dodongos’ open mouths. He knew they ate rocks, but they weren’t used to sharp pieces flying into their mouths. “Hey buddy, we have company!”
Fire spewed forth from the dodongos, it certainly warmed things up, but wasn’t anything the goron couldn’t handle. It beat the rains he dealt with earlier for sure.

There was a distinct burning smell that followed directly after just a second or so of splashing in the lava behind you. After a moment, the Wolfos crawled out of the lava licking his chops, body low to the ground as he growled at the two Dodongos. The two dodongo's breath was cut off when shards flew into their mouth. It was like eating a rock full of shrapnel. Shaking their heads with their mouths open, obviously injured to some degree by the crystals, the Dodongos were open just long enough for your Wolfos companion to pounce and snatch another one by the throat, dragging the thrashing creature towards the pit of lava, eyes and pelt glowing red with a renewed energy.

Dashing forwards, Daruhan charges the last remaining dodongo as it chokes on the rock shards. His goal here was to lift the beast up, exposing its weak underbelly and punching it hard with his other rocky fist. He needed to get this done quick, 3 dodongos wasn’t something that would worry a volcanic wolfos should be worried about. Simply retreat into the lava and you don’t have anything to worry about. He also didn’t want this dodongo falling in the lava, they were made of valuable construction materials. Their stomachs could be used to manufacture bomb bags, and their armored hide could be useful in weapons and armor smithing. The fact that the other 2 burned was costly, having anything useful come off of a monster corpse was never a certainty.

The Wolfos came lumbering out of the lava, ears perking when he noticed that you were literally punching a Dodongo to death. The Dodongo, luckily, died pretty quickly. The force on it's belly with the crystal's that had attacked him previously was enough to do it in... and make it swell. The Wolfos immediately folded his ears and growled at the inflating body, flinching just a little when it blew up. The Wolfos couldn't growl very well though, in seeming payback for the rock sirloin you had fed him, as well as companionship, the Wolfos dropped a mouthful of Dodongo parts onto the ground, his wide maw making it exceptionally easy to carry the thick tail. With a whoof, the Wolfos turned and moved back into the lava, paddling around before diving for a second, coming back up to paddle some more, playing in the lava for just a minute to finish warming the rest of the way up. Consider it like a human child sitting by a fire after a cold day spent outside.
