Ah... there went a poor Hylian, who hopefully wasn't too badly injured... but Lavi had to admit, the distractions were appreciated. No... the help was appreciated. He wasn't used to any of this! Whatever the case may be, though, he was being allowed to fire freely, and he could hardly help but appreciate that, regardless of the fact that his arrows didn't appear to be doing all that much... at least, not yet.
The beast wouldn't be able to hold out forever, however big or tough it was.
"Argh... not now..." he muttered, clicking his beak in agitation as he was buffeted along by the strong impact from the Lynel's blade crashing into the ground, and then the winds picking up; the very winds that he could quite easily tell to be carrying the storm along with them. That much, however, wasn't going to stop him; not immediately. Hardly was he a stranger to strong currents of wind, not from his time in the Rito's training grounds; he could steady himself enough, at least for one last shot. It only took him a moment, maybe two, to brace himself along the current of wind; enough to fire one more light arrow down to the Lynel's very same shoulder, never minding the mild exhaustion starting to build up. After that last arrow was fired, though, he cast a wary glance over to the storm, then the Lynel, keeping an eye on the beast before dropping himself into a freefall what seemed a safe distance away, nearby the healer and the downed greatsword wielder.
"I can help heal, a little... but I can't do much else on the ground, not with this storm coming..." he offered. It would just have to be enough, unless he, or someone else, could think of something.

Goron

Post by Daruhan on Jan 17, 2018 8:16:57 GMT -8
A loud and pained ‘ GOROOOOOOOO!!’ escaped Daruhan’s mouth as the world around him went ablaze with heat, light and sound. This is the legendary might of the lynels he’d read and heard so much about! Ears left ringing from the lynel’s terrific blast he attempted to move on to the second stage of his plan, which he knew was just as risky as the first part, but would be worth it if it paid off. He swung one hand from the beast and launched it towards its face, throwing all the weight he could muster behind it, pulling up with his other hand to aid in this. He then would try to grab onto the beast’s mane while it was distracted to swing himself over to it’s back and start a choke hold. If for whatever reason he was knocked off his goal was to start rolling around it’s feet to trip it up. The objective then would be to keep him from shooting at his allies, at least until the rain came, the bombs would be next to useless once they got wet. Between his trust in his friends aim and his own rocky hide, he hoped he would be safe from any friendly fire. This was certainly turning out to be the fight he had hoped for.

The Goron’s shout was her indicator that she had failed in disarming the lynel. She needed to bring it down somehow and fast! The storm would not delay it was about two miles out from her calculations and the wind was carrying it along steadily. She perched on top of her boulder assessing the situation...again. Damn her limited capabilities when lightening was involved. However, the lynel was being grappled in such away that his mobility to wield his sword had decreased greatly...or at least it appeared that way.
The Goron was trying to mount the beast...in a complicated fashion but it could work. She needed to get close to strike, the rear right thigh was her next target, anything with the front legs would be too close to her ally, but she couldn’t approach from the rear. The safest would be from the side as if she were approaching a stallion. He would not be able to kick her sidelong. It was too risky to run up with dagger in hand, it was time to use her spear.
She skirted the pair as they grappled, making sure to stay within the Lynel’s blind spot, her bow already back in it place upon her back she now had her simple steel spear within the grasp of her left hand. She hefted it in her grasp, testing its weight to the wind. Her target set at the flank a large target should be easy to hit if it where stationary but moving was the challenge. She smiled having found the proper calculations, pulled her left arm and spear hand back and let it fly to its destination.
May your steel strike through friend.

While his legs were protected by the wrappings on the bottom half, his haunch was wide open to arrows, but the arrows biting and nicking into his muscles only aided in enraging the Lynel further. It had a goron on it and people were poking him with those needles. Fueled by rage, when the Goron made a move to get onto his back, the Lynel took his arm and dug his elbow into the Goron's gut, sending him back and off of him, finally. Now he could focus on something else, and the first thing he saw as he spun to approach the Goron was a little fishy, sneaking around in the back. In fact, this fish was the same one that threw the spear that flew forward, embedding itself into it's shield arm shoulder. The healer worked as quickly as she could on the Hylian, but his injuries were still gonna take just a bit longer to be considered passable. The mage's assaults on the Lynel with stones had to come to a temporary end before they exhausted themselves entirely. For now, beating and helping work down the tough hide of the beast would have to stop. At least they could help the healer out a bit by staying on standby for protection. The Rito's offer to help heal the Hylian were greatly appreciated though, the Healer looking up at Lavi and nodding before moving out of the way to let the Rito get a good look at the Hylian, bones were broken, and those were difficult to heal over time with such a weak spell. Any kind of assistance would be great. With one less barrage of arrows on it, especially the lacking of those light arrows that he had to admit, burned, he was able to focus a little more clearly on the Zora. Bearing down, the Lynel ripped out the spear and broke into a gallop towards the Zora. With one heavy swing of the great Thunderblade, he swung at the Zora. The gales continued during this charge, not much could be heard over the thundering of the beast's hooves and the gusts cutting over the highlands. But they would soon end, and a light drizzle would begin.

Alright, this wasn't working.
The Hylian, lowered his bow, frowning as he watched the Lynel. They seemed to only be succeeding in making it angry, which in turn would make things harder for them. Even as he watched, the Lynel sent the Goron flying off of him, before charging towards the Zora.
The farm boy grimaced, and clambered up the rock face he was hiding behind. He launched a few arrows towards the Lynel's face, hoping to draw its attention, then waited. If the Lynel came close enough, he would try and leap onto its back, like he'd done to the horses he'd tamed. After all, a Lynel was just a big, smart horse, wasn't it? Partially, at least.

It was too much, he could easily see that. The fact was, he didn't really know anything in particular about healing arts, and his spell... well, it wasn't very strong.
"I-I can... help you recover a little... but you're not gonna be fighting more, not now..." he muttered, once again clicking his beak a little in nervousness as he slung his bow back over his shoulder... at least for now. It couldn't remain there forever -- not when there was still more to do -- but for now, he could at least kneel over the fallen Hylian, a healing light shining from his outstretched hands. Even just a little... if he could mend the bones a bit so there'd not be as much pain, and so the recovery could be easier down the line... well, that would have to do. At least for the moment. "I-I'm... sorry I can't do more, but... I need to help make sure they don't get too hurt as well..." he offered with a little frown. How many more spells did he have in him, then? Two? Maybe three, if he pushed it?
Follow the wind, follow the large creature's, the large target's, passage. One more light arrow, that would have to be his final for this encounter, soon enough fired out of the Rito's bow; not at as good an angle as he could get from the sky, he had to admit, but still he aimed it as well as he could in a slow arc, making certain to go above the Goron, toward the back of the Lynel's shoulder around where the Zora's spear had pierced. If he could disable just one arm, at all... that would be a step forward, at the very least.

Goron

Post by Daruhan on Jan 17, 2018 18:54:12 GMT -8
Daruhan hit the ground hard, but he hit it rolling. He wasn’t terribly surprised the beast threw him, it was a stupid stunt anyways. But now something unforgivable had happened, the damned beast was ignoring him.
“Hey, Furface! Forgetting somebody?” He yells, bouncing towards the middle lynel’s equine half clenching both fists together and swinging down hard. Then, if no immediate response was made he’d just keep swinging. If that didn’t remind him who the threat was Daruhan just didn’t know what would.
He noticed the others apparently losing heart, but he didn’t understand why at first. This was a natural part of battle. If they stopped attacking now might not go so well, the beast was becoming enraged, so it would fight a little harder, that would impair its judgment though too. “Don’t give up, Brothers! Give it all you’ve got! Things may seem hard now, but we must push through! We’ll break this beast yet!”

Lelana’s heart soared realizing her spear and struck the lynel, it was not the initial intended outcome however and her heart immediately sunk as the lynel yanked out her spear and looked at her. She was now on the chopping block ready to be served up as tempura sushi. She had only moments to calculate an escape route, she realized her only way out was to go up.
She crouched and launched herself up into an aerial back flip arching up, over and away from the path of the thunderblade. She landed on the boulders squarely, her bare feet griping the rocks cool surface. She was acutely aware of her surroundings, her skinned hummed with the electricity emanating off of the blade, and if she had hair it would be standing on end. She watched her foe be intercepted by the Goron again.
Would he succeed this time at tackling the beast?

The Lynel was beginning to see red. Once enraged, the beast now watched it's enemies with a primal glint in it's eyes. He was easy to dodge, yes, if the race was agile enough, but he hadn't thought some fish out of water would've been capable of that! Oh how the elders of his species would've frowned upon his stupidity. Gripping his great Thunderblade, the Lynel dug his hooves into the muddying soil with a sturdy flex of his chest, both equine and man-ish sword arm drawn back as the Goron ran back up to him. As soon as the Goron got close enough, the Lynel reared and swung his sword forward, luckily the Goron wasn't made of normal flesh, so he wasn't too morbidly injured, but the blade still bit it's mark. As the Goron was slashed though, the Lynel was met by another shockingly powerful force. The Hylian had witnessed the attack and as soon as his ribs didn't feel like they were going to pop out of his chest, he had charged forward once again, biting his own greatsword into the side of the Lynel, taking advantage of the opening granted to him by Daruhan and Lelani. 'By Hylia, you will fall!' He had a duty as a warrior, and it was determination in his eyes that showed he was more than ready to do what it took to fulfill it. The Hylian side stepped the Lynel's turn, but now his attention was on the one that just fired an arrow into his cheek and mane. Putting his shield up, the Lynel started making his way towards Sebastian, putting distance between the Warrior and Daruhan. The healer and mage looked to each other before one made a light spear and passed it to the mage. The mage took aim and threw it towards the Lynel, trying to break it's attention. The storm was still growing ever closer, the light drizzle becoming a steady rainfall. The thunder now rumbled on time with lightning bolts in the distance, the static in the air becoming ever so slightly present. Just enough that Lelani and Lavi should be able to feel it prickling their feather and scales.
- @sebastian / Lelana / Lavi / Daruhan - Minor blunt for injuries | Moderate open wound
- The Hylian is back in the fight!

Ah... he shouldn't be doing that! He wasn't even recovered... well, not fully!
Was this how so-called 'heroes' acted? If so... Lavi very certainly was not one of them.
Still, though... he had to do something... didn't he? He couldn't fly -- the rain was removing that option quite well, but... alright, maybe just for a bit. A quick, brief flight, the Rito considered as he started to dart forward, pushing his wings down and lifting himself up a decent ten feet or so into the air. Drawing his arrow quickly back, never mind that it was only a normal arrow now, he quickly fired it off toward the back of the charging Lynel's sword shoulder. If he could hurt that some more, then maybe... in the meantime, he had to stumble a little to catch his footing again after landing from his rather brief flight, his wings getting too drenched to manage any more than that. He was a grounded bird, and he couldn't say he enjoyed it at all.
