Goron

Post by Daruhan on Jan 21, 2018 8:13:15 GMT -8
Daruhan covers his face as the lightning strikes the lynel, it’s cries just barely able to be heard over the booming electricity. Then, just as quickly as it came, struggled breathing, a thud, and then silence. The beast was dead.
He uncovers his face to witness the smoldering pile of ash that, just a few seconds ago, was one of the fiercest enemies he’d faced to date. He laughs, throwing his head back and letting the rain wash over his face. It starts off softly, but quickly picks up into hearty goron thunder. He then sighs, finally having the moment to feel his injuries, “That was some fight, wasn’t it little brothers? It shook me right to my core. I’m so proud to have fought by each and every one of your sides. Surely we’ll all remember this day forever.” He puts on large smile.
Before he makes his own way over to the healer’s tent he looks around the battlefield one last time, scanning for the most injured. They hylian knight was being taken care of, the rito and the zora seemed spry enough, but his friend, Sebastian seemed like he’d damaged his leg quite badly. Daruhan makes his way over to the young lad, offering him a hand, “Hey little guy, you did good today. Let’s get you over to the healers. Here, let me help ya.” Daruhan would then attempt to scoop up the young lad into his arms and carry him over to the healers’ tent.
He grinned to himself as he carried the lad (or at least helped him walk there!), hopefully he could find some sort of trophy to take with him as proof of this day.

The Hylian groaned, dropping his wooden bow after loosing an arrow, reaching down to press his fingers against his leg. Definitely fractured, at least. Fuck, that hurt. What a stupid move!
He cringed as the other Hylian was flung through the air, tumbling like a rag-doll thrown by a toddler during a tantrum, crumpling against the ground. "Ouch." he hissed, shaking his head.
Static danced across Sebastian's skin, making the hair on the back of his neck stand on edge. Only moments later, a lightning strike made him temporarily deaf, striking down the Lynel to one knee, before another finished it off. The Lynel crumpled to its side, going still.
The healer and mage hurried over to the crumpled Hylian, carrying him to a covered area, where they began to set up a wooden tent. The little Hylian groaned, taking an opportunity to rest before making his way over to the tent. He left behind his sword, having been turned into nothing more than crumpled metal by the lightning, taking with him his bow.
He looked up as the Goron approached, smiling as he finally recognized him as Daruhan, the Goron he'd battled with before. "Thanks, you did as well." He allowed the Goron to scoop him up, feeling awkwardly light and small in the Goron's arms, glad to have his weight taken off his leg.

Smiling at the Rito, Lelana nodded. “Yes I believe some food would do very well right now, given we can get you enough shelter to keep a fire burning. I will do what I can to help, focus your strength for a meal I will aid the healers best I can offer. You have expended enough of your energies for the moment, should something go awry we will need your reserves.”
With that the goron walked past her and her brow furrowed, he was caked in blood and she could see that his body was not processing the trauma of the fight as well as he put an air on. Once he sat the young Hylian down she stood at the ready to handle to goron. “You need to sit before you topple over,” she chided softly readying her magic to try and mend the open wound from when the lynel tried to imbed his blade into the Goron. “If I am going to heal you I suppose I should make your acquaintance, I am Lelana of the Zora…if you couldn’t tell by my distinctive features,” amusement laced her voice.
She was concentered for her comrades but also relieved that the only loss she had was, apparently her spear had disintegrated when the lightning struck the monster. She could always get another one, maybe even a better one that was not a conductor for lightening

There would be plenty of ingredients to be found to cook with, and the healers worked diligently on their own friend as the rest of the team licked their own wounds. Things were quiet now, not much could be heard except the wind and rain softly rustling and shuffling the trees and dirt. A good end to a day with everyone walking away with their heads still attached.
