The snow was deep in this part of the Gerudo Highlands, perfect for tracking, and he had found some incredible tracks. Bear by the looks of it, although he’d never seen bear tracks quite this large. It was going to be a good hunt once he found it. It bore its weight well but given the way the beast walked it was bearing a weight of some kind. Perhaps carrying game of its own? Ah, yes, there. Some fresh blood by one of the prints. Damion puts his fingers to it and tastes it. Sheikah blood. How could a bear catch something as elusive as that? This would be an interesting hunt indeed. He smiled. The giant of a man smelled the air. It was too far for him to pick up on the scent just yet, but given how fresh the blood was it was close. He hunched as low as he could and continued following the tracks. After another half hour of travel, he heard the beast. It was eating its game. As Damion peered over the rocks he was hiding behind, he readies his bow. Knocking an arrow and pulling it back. A bear this size must be handled with care. He’d aim for the face of the neck if he could. If not the legs, anything to weaken or slow it. “DAMN IT BEAST!” He snarled “You’ve lead me on for hours now. Where is your master? You are clearly a familiar. Cover your tracks better.” He spits into the snow.

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | Axel was waiting around the rocks of the highlands. Luckily, they weren't so high that they'd freeze, but they were still a considerable distance up. There had been some Sheikah stalking and if things went according to plan, the other would show up as well. But he didn't, instead, a pair of foot steps could be felt. Narrowing his eyes, Axel went ahead and stood up, rounding the top of the rocks he was crouched behind just in time to hear the male roar out at his bear.
The other Sheikah was missing, his ambush failed, now there was a one more Sheikah left to be free in the world... for now. The larger male took a moment to observe Mot's actions towards the man. He was big, and big voiced, even Axel was pretty sure he was close to his height, a rarity. Mot, still focused on his prey let out an irritated grumble before continuing on his business, glowing eyes watching Damion carefully. Something as powerful as him didn't have much to worry about if he had a good master. And if he was here, and hadn't disappeared into shadows first, that meant that his master was still in the area somewhere, not too far.
Axel continued to observe in silence for a bit longer before deciding to speak up for Mot. "He was supposed to bait another one of those Hylia worshiping dogs up here." Axel sighed out, stepping down the hill with his windcleaver still sheathed at his back. He wasn't presenting as a threat to this man, especially if Mot hadn't gotten offensive towards him. |

“Well that is unfortunate. Those dogs need to be brought down. If you want to find him. I might be of use to you.” Damion motions to the many pelts covering him, keeping him warm. “I am a skilled hunter. Of man and beast.”
What a strange thing to see. The yiga, the owner of the bear it would seem, stood about as tall as he did. That wasn’t too common. "Hmm, interesting. I don't see many people my height."
He’d seen what the yiga could do when the time was right, Lurelin was example of that. He would’ve loved to have seen it. He was curious to see what they could do in person. He was usually loath to travel with others, but he felt a kindred spirit here. He hoped they’d take him up on it. “Speaking of, since you serve Ganon, if you need any monster parts. I can sell some to you. Not all monsters serve Ganon.”

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | "Agreed." He nodded his head to the opposite direction that Damion had come from, hand on his hip. "If that's the case, then lets wait until my apprentice is done with her side, see if she didn't comb out the sniveling swine." He sneered, looking to Mot as he grumbled and decided he was done with his prey. Standing up, the bear shook his hide free of snow and lumbered over to Axel, a low grumble coming from his throat. Upon seeing the obvious traits of change in the other male's face, he smirked just a small bit.
"It's not often you see what was once a Hylian serve Ganon either." He noted, visibly relaxing just a hint more, but still holding his tall, dominating posture out of sheer habit. His jaw clenched and his eyebrows furrowed as he looked back up the hill in the direction Yara had been. If he had to hunt down another Foot Soldier and bury them, he'd... well. He would, first of all, go find somewhere to contemplate what to do. Then obvious get up and go track down the bastard who thought they could get away with this. Being what they were was risky, but that didn't mean he couldn't hunt down the bastards that got too brave.
"Of course. I'll notify Master of you and your business and we'll see if we can't get a little more on the supply end. The less time we put into resource gathering, the more time we can put into more productive and beneficial things." he stated smoothly, looking at the other still. Frowning some, he continued looking the once Hylian over before, ultimately, smirking once again. "It is truly swell to see others embracing the shadows. Swell enough that I'm sure even Master would be excited to hear the news." |

Half of the reason Mot hadn’t succeeded in luring the other Sheikah to his Master was because the apprentice, following her Master’s orders, had gone further down the mountain to bring up the rear tracking the younger Sheikah. Being on high alert she had successfully managed to locate the young male about the time she felt a huge series of footsteps that were not Mots or Axels. The younger Sheikah had picked up on the scent of the newcomer as well and instead of pursuing the trail Mot had left behind began to retreat. Yara wasn’t going to let her quarry go or else she risked either the wrath or overbearing disappointment of her failure from Axel. Jett did not give any warnings regarding this newcomer so she pursued her target into a cave.
She cleared the surrounding cave to be clear of other individuals before she approached being sure to keep to the shadows. She could tell the cave was not very deep, and if anything it was only shallow enough to present protection from the elements. It would be like catching a rabbit in a trap. She placed her hand on the stone entrance of the cave and built a wall closing both of them inside. The sheikah had yet to build a fire so when the cave went dark she had the advantage as her very cold, bare feet slid over the stone service.
She could see him, but it was highly doubtful her could see her. She smiled softly feeling his tremble through his vibrations in the stone. He couldn’t have been older than 15 yrs old. It wasn’t her job to kill him; her job was to bring him back incapacitated if possible. Axel had a very distinct set of rules for her when it came to pursuing a potential recruit and giving into her battle hungry rage this was his way of tempering her. She was flippant when it came to recruiting mostly because she wasn’t very good at keeping her battle rage in check and went overboard in inflicting death when it didn’t have to be necessary
“Show yourself, Yiga coward,” his voice shook with uncertainty and it confirmed for her that he could not see her. She stepped back sinking her heel into the stone and pulled a rock into the back of his head with a firm enough force to only knock him out. She heard the soft thunk of a body hitting the ground and she released Jett from his shadows. She set to work disarming him and lashing his hands and feet securely. She then lashed him to Jett’s back and ensured there was a gag shoved securely into his into his mouth. After she was certain her work was done she opened up the cave again and they made their way to the meeting point with Axel.
As they walked she made sure to send a ripple through the earth to shake the snow back into place as best she could. It was tedious, but it had been drilled into her at this point that they had to stay invisible in the instance that someone might come looking for the Sheikah pair. Eventually they made their way up the mountain and came upon Mot’s tracks mingled with an unfamiliar pair, she went on her guard not hearing any sounds of fighting until they crept closer seeing Mot biting grinding whatever was in his mouth to dust. She saw Axel engaged with a very large and unfamiliar man(?). She approached with Jett silently waiting to be addressed.

“Don’t get the wrong idea. I’ll help you but I’m not into the religious aspect of it. Ganon helped me out of a tight spot and I serve him. I’m not as obsessed about it as you yiga get though. Im not much of a pack animal. I will aid your pack though.” He looks over where the other large man had been looking. “I didn’t think yiga were either. Usually just run into them alone wile tracking their familiar.” He looks the man in the eyes, “Don’t worry though. I know what fair game is.”
Damion looks up as a young woman appears with a gorilla and a bound sheikah. “Well, looks like your mate caught the runaway. Shame, I was looking forward to a hunt.” Noticing the bindings, “How are you planning on preparing him? I usually just spit roast my catches." He motions to his axe, "Shall I get a fire ready. Looks like there's still some left from his friend too."

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | He shrugged when he mentioned the religious thing. It wasn't often you'd run into someone who actually worshiped Ganon that wasn't a Yiga, so he wasn't too shocked to find out he wasn't into the religious aspect of it. Looking to where Yara was, he froze when he heard the word mate, sputtering in a short laugh. "Not mate. Apprentice." he kept his voice even, walking over to snatch the Sheikah by the collar. "Not food."
With that, he passed the brat off to Mot. "Take him and pass him off to the patrolling blademaster. Go." With that, Mot lumbered off, dragging the kid with him. Axel turned back and stared thoughtfully at Damion before crossing his arms. "We try to recruit them before we kill them. Sometimes we have no choice but to end them where they stand." He stated, looking towards where Mot had pulled his catch off somewhere. "I'm pretty sure I can help you find and catch something. Or in fact.. Yara can." He looked to Yara, staring at her. "Yea. She can. Though next time..." his eyes turned back to Damion. "Do not come this far into the highlands searching for food. More often than not, the tracks will be our own." He meant our own as in Yiga in general, but there could just be allies in general.
That, and he didn't like anybody, no matter how allied they were, this close to the hideout. He'd just met Damion, and he was in Yiga territory. Any normal person would've been slaughtered immediately. |

Yara went tense listening to the newcomers words. She spluttered nervously at the same time as Axel “mate?!” She flushes for some damned reason “no...I’m just the apprentice” she rushed “ he’s the master” she finished that about the same time Axel said apprentice and the twos words just mingled into an awkward spluttering garble. She looked back at Mot, who was back over her shoulder to hide any redness in her face that wasn’t from the nipping cold.
She listened to the two talking as she helped Jett get untangled from the rope and she coiled it up. When Axel referred to her helping the newcomer hunt she looked up suddenly “Me? What are we hunting?” Eager to let off some steam

Damion laughs, “Look at you two. Male and female spend enough time together and they become mates. It’s how it works. Happens all of the time.” He eyes the woman top to bottom, “We will hunt whatever we can get our hands on. Do you know what game is common in this area?” He smiles. “It’s one of my favorite places to hunt.”He turns to the giant. “I will hunt where I please. I’ll leave your people alone.” He ponders for a moment. “Oh, I should tell you. My name is Damion. If I am to sell to you, you should know that.”

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | Well if he so earnestly wanted to believe that they could be mates, he could. Axel shrugged with indifference before looking to Yara once more. He'd shadow behind the group and watch from a distance to see if Yara could help this man effectively track anything. He'd just have to see how that goes.
"Axel." He offered his name back, arms crossing as Mot crawled back up to him, licking his chops. By the looks of it, the other blademaster had either rewarded the 7'4 bear with meat out of fear, or he actually rewarded him for bringing in the Sheikah. 'how bad did you scare him.' he spoke in a low voice to Mot, earning a huff in return. Giving his bear a deadpan look, he shook his head and waved his hand, Mot disappearing back into shadows. |
