What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | Axel heard what happened, and he deadpanned as the Gorilla came up into the canopy with him. "If she dies, you die. You're supposed to protect her Jett, and she's supposed to protect you." He mentioned quietly, not quite scolding the familiar just yet. "Or was that indirect revenge?" He asked quietly. It was very easy chances that it was the case.
He continued taking in the area around him in silence, even as Yara came up with them. The noise Jett made was actually fairly humorous, but he didn't smile despite the urge to laugh at her with him. Sinking down lower into the canopy, dropping into a squat, he continued to look over the Jungle. Storm clouds were over the hills, but it didn't bother him. "Imagine when this world is finally shrouded in darkness." He spoke in a low voice as he turned his head to squint in the general direction of the sun. "Dark clouds, red moons and safety from this insufferable light." Axel grew quiet for a minute or so after that, turning his head to continue over looking the jungle. "No more running around in disguise. No more hiding when we go places."
With a low sigh, he stood up. Odds are, when their lord Ganon rose and came back to the world, Axel would be on the front lines, his duty would change from not only defending the master, but creating a defense against Ganon as they hunted tirelessly for the wretched hero and princess that Hylia just so happened to pluck out of seemingly nowhere. If it was his decision as well, they'd aim for taking out the champions as well, but all he could do was leave the suggestions. They had plans, and for now, he'd focus on those with the rest.
Standing up, he looked to Jett and Yara before stepping forward and off the branch, disappearing beneath the canopy with a deadpan expression and dropping onto branch after branch until finally, he landed with a thud on the ground below. He didn't want to over work Jett, so he'd come up with a different agility exercise for now. They were too young to be able to read every movement effectively to try and anticipate your enemies next move, no matter their element. But they weren't too young to start learning. It was important for Jett to read as well, noticing the signs could make a huge decision in the long run.
But the biggest hurdle he felt would be Yara's temper. Train all you want, anger fogs your thoughts. When the adrenaline starts going, it's solely up to you to control yourself and keep your emotions in check. |

I am immune to you. We are both sick souls with the same disease. Yara did not hear the soft words that came out from under her master’s silent musings but she did watch him leave. After she heard his thud she peered down at him momentarily before giving a waving motion to Jett as she began to descend. Her decent wasn’t as skilled as the climb though and she was glad that Jett would swing around her catching her as she stumbled. "Done bein’ such a pain?" She laughed wryly at him as he lowered her through a particularly large gap in the trees. After that point she was maybe 20ft from the ground she cleared a couple more branches and then jumped down the rest of the way. She landed lightly and soundly on her feet as her feet hit the earth, she felt grounded again and her feet firmly on the ground was her natural niche. Jett then came up behind her examining the scrape to her back to ensure it wasn’t more than broken flesh. She let out a sharp his as he poked it taking a step forward “I’m fine, I’m fine,” she said brushing him off “Its more bruised than anything.” She looked over at Axel after she got Jett to stop worrying over her “What’s next?” she asked after a moment disregarding the deadpan expression on his face. She couldn’t act like an insecure child and get anywhere with Axel, that much was being made clear to her. He wouldn’t tolerate insubordinate, childish behavior, after her last stunt that was the soundest lesson she would need for a long while before she tried to mouth off again.
She had said she would try not to disappoint him and so far that’s all she really had accomplished.

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | Axel watched the exchange in silence, taking notes in his own manner, jaw set and face still as dead looking as ever. "Next, since I make considerably larger hits, you're going to train Jett's agility with dodging." Stepping a few feet to the side, Axel pointed down the way to a tree. "And train your range as well." He looked to Yara then to Jett. "Since he's aligned with your element and should have the sense to move instead of just sit there and take the damage, he won't be harmed much at that distance. And just because our familiars aren't birds or foxes doesn't mean they shouldn't know how to dodge."
His voice was still flat, a cool tone masking his usually pissed off tone. Stepping even further to the side, he picked a tree to lean up against to sit back and spectate. "Once he's dodged a good amount of stones from this distance, we'll move him a bit closer. Oh, and in case he knows he can, try to make sure he doesn't just catch the projectiles." He and Mot had an issue with that for the first fifteen minutes of agility training. The large bear would stand on his hind legs and simply swat the projectiles away from his self. It actually took the former master to help convince him to try dodging instead of hitting the stones.
It was what Mot had done his entire life to try and keep Axel safe as a boy. As a cub, he'd suffered through a lot with Axel, and if he was sure he heard right, yara hadn't met Jett until she gave up her soul to Ganon. For some reason, she didn't have any sort of true contact with him before their bond was fully forged by Ganon. Sheikah had a knack for animals, some more than others. It seemed the more docile of the Sheikah had a thing for small song birds and cats. Meanwhile, Sheikah had a trend of useful animals. Something about Sheikah intelligence and stealth. Or something or another about being closer to the plane- HE DIDN'T KNOW. He didn't care. |

Yara nodded determinedly. She had been practicing her range in the time Axel had been absent. Her and Jett had trained a similar exercise before, however it was reversed and Jett was the one pelting Yara with projectiles training her agility and defenses. She looked at Jett nodding for him to run the distance that Axel had indicated “Don’t catch anything, just dodge what I throw out to you”.
He snorted in understanding connecting with the determination that was flowing between them. The fun and games of the race was old history now and after the comments made by Axel Jett was filled with his own determination to sync himself to Yara and fill that gnawing hunger to protect her. It’s what had spurred him on that night he bound himself to her. She didn’t know it but he had watched her from a distance in the banana fields. In fact some of her beatings had been a direct result of his banana thieving. He hadn’t protected her very well then but he had followed her to Kara Kara Bazaar aware that she was putting herself in a reckless situation. He had saved her life that night and their fates where forever entwined he was fiercely protective of her and that was the majority of the reason she was in trouble now with Axel.
It hadn’t escaped him, as gorillas where quite intelligent and through his connection with Yara he had overheard her berating herself, crying to herself and overall placing sole blame for what happened on her shoulders. She needed protection from the punishments for his actions, she needed protection from the wrath of the world, but what she needed most was protection from her. She was strong and fierce on the outside but from what he had felt through their bond was a destructive sense of perfectionism and a fear that any mistake was grounds for abandonment. This also made her angry and that was a wild fire that would not be easily tamed. It was his job to protect her and so far he had a lot of growing to do in that regard.
So with that as his fuel and motivation he cleared the large distance and beat his chest letting out a roar that signaled his readiness as well as to clear the area of unwanted attackers.
Yara had experimented with different techniques to lift and hold multiple rocks at once, there weren’t as big as if she focused on the one but they equaled out to it. She took an open stance that didn’t spread her body out and stomped her left foot into the ground three times as three smaller sized chunks raised to her eye level. She compacted them simultaneously and lunged forward pulling her hands together, palms out and thrusting forward as she landed on her left foot. This technique allowed her to use the momentum of her lunge and upper body power to push towards Jett. Then she pulled out of the lunge kicking her right foot up to come flush with the second rock and she sent that one flying as well. Moving onto the third she swung her left leg around (like a baseball swing) and sent it flying. She repeated this routine around ten times more maintaining the force necessary to give Jett sufficient material to work with.
Jett dodged fairly well due to his connection with Yara he was able to take advantage of the trajectory she had set in her mind and was able to evade the first 15 or so rocks with ease as he advanced and then retreated. Nearing the second half of the onslaught he began to be a bit slower but still managed to dodge with only a few light scrapes.

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ NOTES:@yarenergui | Sitting back on his heels, Axel let out a low, quiet yawn as he watched the two train. Eventually, he sat down on the ground, legs crossed as he watched Jett slowly work his way closer. "Tap Yara's shoulder if you can." He spoke up, just enough to be heard.
Without warning, a light drizzle started up and Axel looked up at the sky. Typical of the Faron region, it rained so damn much here. He expected it honestly, and he was surprised it didn't start raining while they were up in the trees. Smelling the air, he didn't catch that distinct smell of lightning, so he relaxed back down into a hunched position. "It's not a thunderstorm, carry on." A childhood spent in Akkala, he better know how to smell the difference in storms. There was always a difference in them. |

I am immune to you. We are both sick souls with the same disease. Yara went through the same routine again and after two sets she slide into her horse stance as Jett ran towards her. These ones would be more calculated, more precise, and larger in size. Inhaling deeply, she began her routine of pulling, compacting and forceful pushing. These ones Jett had to halt and duck or dodge and it was less agile than when he was dodging the smaller ones from a distance. Yara became more focused and forceful in her onslaught and he had to catch a couple of them on his shoulders, breaking the stone apart by the sheer force her threw into it. But he didn’t rely on his brute strength to reach his goal, only when it was prudent to prevent him from taking a small boulder to the head. As Jett nearly reached his goal Yara side stepped out of reach returning to the free movements of the previous routines as she dodged, ducked and punted rocks to keep him at bay. He let out a couple of frustrated roars at her as he ran out of stamina. He was beginning to get pelted more frequently by the stones and the rain made his movements more cumbersome. Meanwhile Yara, literally, soaked in the rain as her feet became coated with mud she was focused and in tune with her element as the fragrance of the wet earth filled her senses. After some more of this Jett made a frustrated leap at her and managed to grab her shoulder, knocking her off balance which she landed with a solid thud on her ass. She smiled up at him brightly, he scooped her up in his large arm and settled her on his shoulder, they had managed to leave the immediate area of their instructor so he made his way back following the trail of disrupted foliage. @acel- # # # - notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | Whatever worked for them, he supposed. He stayed where he was, even as they grew further and further away from where he was. While the rain grew harder and harder, Axel finally stood, his own feet and ankles becoming caked in much simply from the act of standing. These two had been training pretty well on their own, which took a bit of the load off of him from having to do it, but there still quite a bit they both had to learn. Now he knew what it felt like to be the former master looking over him. The only difference between him and Masanori's father being that Masanori's father was an amazing man, someone Axel could only hope of being able to defeat.
He raised an eyebrow to Jett carrying Yara on his shoulder and held it that way. "It's beginning to rain, and I don't want to take either of you two into the canopies again in case it becomes a thunderstorm. It shouldn't.. btu y know. Faron." With that, he walked over to some incredibly dense foliage, expecting Yara and Jett to follow without him telling them so. Taking a second to focus, Axel kicked upwards and formed a make shift tent out of stone walls. Stepping inside, he went to the back and sat down with his back against a wall.
"No point in walking back in this, we'll both catch something with how recently healed our injuries are." They may have been blessed, but they were still mortal. Axel's legs were still pissed off at all the jumping and climbing. He had spared no time in getting back to things as soon as the surface of his injuries had closed with fresh scar tissue. "If you have any questions at all, now would be the time to ask them." he muttered out. Before he started lecturing her on other things, he may as well humor her and give her time to ask anything she might want to ask. |

I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. As Axel settled in the shelter Yara dispelled her companion as she praised him softly and telling him to rest. He had done well in her opinion, considering they had trained together since being in the foot soldier ranks became increasingly dissatisfying. They would have preferred this new liberty to allow them to explore the vastness of Hyrule and beyond, however, the words she had been taught seemingly were lacking in some of the details. Now she was bound to the Yiga Clan, their cause, and their mission. If she wanted to make something of her life than simple grunt labor she had to work harder than most. She didn’t want to live to die and that be the end of it. She stayed out in the rain a little longer, now that she was completely soaked through it wasn’t as annoying and she was able to expel some of her tension and fatigue by letting it wash off her. She had always found the rain to be soothing and it still stood true. She had brought an extra set in her pack anyway and she grabbed it from under the large bush she had placed it earlier before settling down beside him to his left. The closeness wasn’t for comforts sake, it was because that was the range she would be able to hear him between the rain and the softness of his voice. She had only caught about half of what he had said before. Something about questions and asking them. She sat quietly contemplating laying her head back against the earthen wall starring up at the little ceiling. What did she want to know? She had been forced to swallow all questions before and now she was given the option to ask them and she was drawing a blank. After a little more thought one question stuck in her throat and any other question she formulated did not sound quiet right without knowing the answer to the first. “What is my purpose in all of this? What does it mean now that I am a member of the Yiga?” she looked at him contemplatively “up until recently I have only been taught that I fight to die for Ganon’s purpose but somehow that doesn’t seem…satisfactory enough. If I am going to die for something I would rather fight harder for it than be useless in an unmarked grave.” She had a serious problem with being fed the forced dogma of the clan and being told to follow blindly. She had always hated being forced to walk with her head down following the feet in front of her. Somehow it seemed more that Axel followed with conviction and his head up staring all things in the face without second guessing his purpose and place. That was something she had admired in him when she had first come across him in the hideout. She envied that and wanted it for her own, not him, but his sense of purpose, direction, and the ability to command respect from his surroundings as well as himself.

What an absolutely disgusting display of "skill" come back when you think you're actually worth something. ▼ | Axel sat in a silence as Yara came in and got settled. He didn't move, he didn't even spare her a glance as his hands rubbed and squeezed at his thighs, his eyes squinted at the floor in thought. When she finally spoke up though, he turned his head to look at her just slightly, green eyes glinting with a hint of annoyance, and somehow... amusement. "I've said it in front of you before." He spoke cooly, leaning his head back against the rock walls of the makeshift tent.
"We serve Ganon to help bring realization to his causes. We're fighting for a world covered in a blanket of darkness. Where the sun would be hidden behind dark clouds, the nights would be filled with red light and we, the monsters and his servants, can finally have a world where we can live in peace without fear from a light wielding 'hero' and 'princess'." He explained, voice staying level. "Imagine it, a world where those that crave darkness can live without being shunned and hunted." He finished with that, giving a moment for Yara to speak up or to just sit and absorb everything he said. He knew foot soldiers were a little slow in most categories when it came to brain functions.
"Anymore questions?" He'd finally ask, eyes looking towards the rain pouring down outside of the rocks, dripping down the dense foliage and onto the jungle floor. He simply leaned further against the rock though and folded his arms in front of his stomach, pulling his knees up and resting his head back against the stone wall, eyes giving a deadpan stare to the water droplets plopping on a puddle outside. |

I am immune to you. You are immune to me.
We are both sick souls with the same disease. Her brow furrowed lightly, she knew he had said it in front of her before but what she didn’t know was if that’s what they told people to scare them versus the collective’s conviction. They didn’t give you “Yiga 101” in initiate training. She contemplated his words, she did find more comfort in the night, but what he was talking about was an entire world absent of light. She wasn’t sure how darkness would bring liberty and freedom to those who were shoved in a closet. Wouldn’t they want to bathe in the light? That wasn’t really important. “So, what your saying is; it would be a world without chains, without unjustified cruelty and ridicule? Where those with more power do not step on the bodies of others to reach their ambitions?” she looked at him perplexedly.
She could be convicted to give her life for such a world. Having been stepped on and crushed the larger portion of her life had left a chip on her shoulder. Especially with some of those people being Yiga, her initial impression of the clan she was now a part of had been a negative experience for the last 9 or so years. The first individuals of this clan that had made it seem remotely redeeming had been Su’ri; which, she was pretty sure, she had ulterior motives, and then Axel; which she hadn’t figured him out yet. She doubted she ever would. At the very least learning from the Blademaster about his convictions and vision would leave a mark on her blank pages and mold her into a similar mindset. She was a part of the clan after all and ultimately being a part of the clan meant having a “family” of some sorts and a place of belonging. If fighting for Ganon’s cause gave her that belonging that would be good enough for her. It was more than she had, had before.
